New Megalodon Teeth for the New Year

- The calendar changed. That's old news. It happens every day. Diva and I went out digging for megalodon teeth. That's old news too. More old news, our premier lowcountry South Carolina shark tooth hunting spot, Sloth Party, is still giving up the goods. Every time we hunt that spot we come home with great stuff but today was Diva's day. You won't believe how great her hunt went. I had to dig like a mole to find any decent shark teeth but she managed to just pluck the big boys from the muck. Sweet lady cles smiles on whomever she will.
93 megs, outstanding. Buck tooth shark instantly gave me a mental picture and a chuckle. 😄

You can always hear the bucktooth shark coming because they whistle the Jaws theme underwater

Great to have another video of success to watch! Diva’s tooth coming out of the mud bath was pretty awesome! I was just up that way to do some creek hunting. Even though it was a little brisk by most standards, I had an absolute blast. Those colors are phenomenal! All the best!

its the entire house man. there are insane numbers of teeth for sure, but we also collect rocks and crystals, native american artifacts, and relics from metal detecting. the walls are closing in! but at least its cool stuff that doesn't attract bugs and not pizza boxes, newspapers, and other hoarders type garbage.

when you hit 100 mega at the site you should compare all of the megs you’ve found so we can see what the best ones look like compared to the rest
100 is going to be a celebration for sure. I want to do a comparison of all of them but i was thinking of waiting until after the site is done.

Awesome video as always. I love watching these as I live a few hours from Summerville and love hunting there but don’t get to very often. Have you ever thought about doing CZcams shorts or TikTok videos. They would get a ton of attention and views and I’d personally really enjoy watching them as I can never get enough of the hunt.
i won't do tiktok i've just heard too much bad stuff about it. I'm going to stick with youtube. i have thought about doing shorts though. one of the most frequent requests i get is to do a video of my collection and i was planning on using shorts to do that a little bit at a time. i haven't gotten around to it yet obviously. i can't really do the long format and short format collecting video because i can only find a tooth once. thanks for watching man!

I know it’s pretty cold but I’m planning to hopefully get down there soon to a few new spots and was wondering if you personally had been finding much.

I’ve been to low country 3 times and paid for 3 shark tooth tours. And still haven’t found a Meg. And y’all find 93 in one spot?! What in the world. Please take me with u 😅
this spot is hands down the best I ever collected. land sites are not usually this rich. i see on IG that people do find megs on tours around summerville so they must be in a decent area. when you go on those tours make sure the layer you dig in has bones in it. if all you are finding is pebbles the chances of a big tooth is slim.

Amazing finds! What a start to 2024! Quick Q's: Do you sell any of your megs or just keep them? And is there a time line on this spot? Did I hear in an old vid something about a delevpoment or road being put there?
I used to sell my broken stuff years ago but I haven't sold anything in a really long time. i have never sold anything good, including megs. this is my hobby so i don't do it for money. eventually i'm going to have to do something with the broken stuff though because i don't need it and its taking up room that the nice ones deserve! they've stopped expanding the hole so the countdown to the end is started. that's gonna be a sad day but I am nothing but grateful for the opportunity to hunt this location. they had to work on the road because it was a disaster. they scraped off the mud and put in some rock.
@@blackriverfossils Word. I'm pretty much the same way. I can go make a few hundred bucks way easier than I can find a 3 inch Meg. Maybe when the site is about done you could hint hint to me it's location, or we can meet at the waffle house, I'll buy you a meal and

thats the truth. the stunner is there somewhere, its up to me to find it in the right order. back when i was a young ditchweezil i never would have dreamed that old fat me would be collecting a spot where I was on track to dig a hundred meg teeth. its surreal.
