Turning this into a traditional boss fight completely misses the point of the original fight in the manga and both anime adaptations. Griffith is so certain of himself and Guts completely ruins him right out of left field. A single swing was all the fight consisted of.
At least the epic gameplay makes up for it.
it shows it on the animation after the fight. And its a game, its not the manga, what do you expect?
I get what you're trying to say but, dude it's a video game.
The cutscenes will follow the story of the manga sure, but they can't make the actual gameplay like that.

But when it comes to an anime adaption they definitely have to make it exactly like the manga!
I'd rather see this scene as a quicktime event rather than a boss-fight.

Disturbed As a stand-alone game that was not based off the Berserk story this would have been fine, but it’s a video game *adaptation* which entails that it remain true to the story it’s using content from. If this sort of thing happened in the anime of a flashy and drawn out sword fight people would riot cause it’s not a truthful *adaptation.*
Yeah. it also bugs me that they're wearing their combat gear. In the manga, they're wearing ritzy-looking casual winter clothes because they're officially nobles, the war is over, and it's cold outside so they have every reason not to be wearing the stuff shown in this game.

SoulReaper422 Yeah they could have. Im hoping for a well better polished version of this game in the future. I heard they will add a lot of the missing content and dialogues. Basically we'll get things like the Barkira fight in Midlands Sewer, Lost Choldren Arc, queens burning, important scenes in the black swordman arc like the other dimension where the God Hand roams. And hopefully a fighting system for bosses like the PS2 game. That would make this game a lot more worth it
what are you talking about, you have the option of wearing different guts costumes when you replay missions
as KvltKommando said, you don't know what are you talking about, the player just chose the outfit Guts was wearing before joining Band of the Hawks.

they don't. they included Snake Baron and the Count, but no Rosine. Fuck, I'm still so damn disappointend. Why is that? they could have skipped all the children's murder and rape. And the fact that Rosine herself is a child, shouldn't be a problem: in the previous 2 Berserk games, the main villain is a child Apostle.

I think you should aim for the the new God of war.
Dark souls combat feels good, but you die too fast and can't really trade hits, so it doesn't feel like Berserk.

I think for the one vs horde situations the combat system works very nicely, but for those 1v1 boss fights and duels it looks kinda wonky.

God, this game is SO bad, not even the 1vs1 fights are somewhat hard, or need some skill to win. Its just spamming wide attacks FTW. Absolutely shitty
