    Currently this is the standard pistol of the Brazilian Armed Forces, adopted in 1975 and known as Modelo M975. Very reliable and appreciated for having a better security system than the Beretta M9.

    Travis I've got a PT-92 AF-D. It was imported into the US in April 1991. Its the first series with the decocker, no rail, the finish is a beautiful blue and the slide serrations are the old style Beretta. It's sweet. (Edit to add) that I called Taurus and the pistol is still covered under the lifetime warranty. $300.00 out the door, that was with a nice pistol case, 2 factory mags and a nice leather holster. Boooooyaaaa!

    I’m about to turn 21 which means I’m about to buy my first handgun, I’ve always wanted a Beretta since I was a kid who had an air soft model of one but they’re just too pricey for me. I went and held this one in the store and it felt right but I was scared it was a cheap knock off but after researching it and and finding out it’s a licensed product just bought from Beretta and watching your videos on the gun I can breathe easy knowing I picked the right one!

      So how often should I take it down and clean it?

    • @travisp11
      @travisp11  Před 2 lety +1

      @@jamieclapp267 depends on the environment you keep it in. If it is high humidity or a coastal/salty environment I'd disassemble and clean it once per month. If it is in a safe or gun locker with some humidity control, I've gone as long as 1 year before cleaning my rifles. The only bad thing about the PT92 is that the finish isn't very thick or wear resistant. Try monthly and if you notice no oxidation on your cleaning patches when you wipe stuff down maybe extend it to two/three months.

    My tarsus is nice and The thirty eight barrel is nice and the 38 barrel handles the 357 also. Machined by a gun smith with a pretty decent price for the barrel conversions . The nine mm is good but just wanted a weapon that you could change barrels and chamber on and the barrels can go down in mm but not upper barrels. Can go all the way down to machined 22 mags and even the 25 raven barrels which I just had the 38/357 barrels and the 22 mag . Great and pretty neat at the range the guys watching you change out the barrels and change the magazine out with the conversation mags. I love my T-92

      I didn't have my brain in gear when I used Whataburger for my example. I know I am lucky to live in Whataburger Country and never consider where the downtrodden live. You are one of the fortunate few to get to visit us on occasion and sample our fine delicacies.
      Man, if you load two magazines every six months, that's enough to justify the price of an UpLula. I feel sorry for those who don't shoot often enough to appreciate a mag loader. I was one of those misguided waifs until I finally grew up and turned 60. Up until that time, I never owned a gun that could hold more than 6 rounds, and I never went shooting because I was cheap and ammo was a quarter a round; not to mention range fees. I hadn't shot but about a little over four boxes of ammo in my lifetime prior to entering my golden years. I remember shooting up a .49 cent box of 22 LR once when I acquired a single action revolver. I just drove out past the city limits and shot down into a creek bank and into the water. Later I bought my Raven M-25 and a $6 box of 25 ACP. I returned to that creek and fired all but 12 rounds from that box - enough to keep both "clips" topped off. I was young and dumb and didn't know they weren't clips. I felt like 12 rounds was all I needed to protect my home. Some years later I bought a Lorcin L-380, a box of FMJ, and even a nylon holster. I loaded both "clips"and didn't go back to the creek bank because the city limits had pushed out and it was no longer legal to shoot in the county. I started growing up in 2003 when I took my CHL class. I shot that 380 ACP for the first time. That and the requalifying four years later account for the 3rd and 4th boxes of ammo. Of course there was a few rounds (meaning 4 to 6) from my 30-06 when I was just out of high school and hundreds of rounds out of my 20 caliber pellet rifle, if they even count. A mag loader wouldn't exactly help with the 30-06 or the pellets. Just Do It!
