  • In this video we rebuild an older CAT 3DX29GSI pressure washer pump that I purchased to replace a AAA pump on a DeWalt pressure washer. The pump was purchased for parts and needed a seal kit and a check valve kit

Well put together video thanks for he help. I’d mention some 3DX have a water cooling port on the three lower pressure seal brass retainers that must be lined up with the small bore in the brass housing. Also to get those pesky valve body’s out look down the perpendicular access bore and stick a 1/4” width flat blade screw driver right into the lower plastic valve and into the lower spring. You will see that plastic valve tapers so as you pry up and slightly wiggle you will not break the plastic lower valve body. 🤘🏼. Thanks man! Saved me 1K for a new pump. Where did you get your parts? I priced out a valve body repair kit at $179 😮 and seal kit at another $149!!!😮

Great video I have a CAT 2SFX30GXI the unloader valve is giving me problems. First needs repair but I cannot remove it to clean and repair. Any tips would be appreciated. Cap and spring came off, seat with valve backed out to show first o-ring now just spins but will not pull out. Thank you anyone for any help.

I have one of these pumps mounted to a Honda GX200 gas engine, trying to remove it from the engine to replace, but not having any luck, seems to be held on even though I have the four bolts removed, the pump will spin on the engine shaft now, but will not slide off. There does not appear to be any set screws holding it on, curious if yours came off easy or if you have any suggestions? Thanks

Mine came off easily... Guessing there is probably some corrosion that is preventing the pump from coming off. No set screws on mine.

Just pry it off it wedged on the key shaft.
