I wasn't a big fan when I listened to this song the first time but it grew on me over time and is now one of my favourite songs :D

Same here. When I'm rolling down the road and this starts I always bump the volume up a bit. This and Kagerou are my faves off Metal Galaxy.
Brand New Day is one of my favourite BABYMETAL tracks. We all know they can rock out as hard as any Metal band. But this track is very chill, has great technical guitar parts, and a vibe that elevates It above your typical radio fair.
Some pop tracks are very superficial and you’ve heard it all after one listen. Brand New Day gets better with repeated listens.
If Eurovison sounded like this i would watch it and not avoid it like the plague as i do now 😉🤘🦊🤘

I think this is a song that has to grow on you, it is so different to anything else they have done ... I get what you are saying, but (now I've listened to it a lot more) it is definitely better than anything I've seen in Eurovision.

His criticism is in my opinion so obviously skewed by his obsession with proving Suzuka’s beautiful vocals are solely the result of auto tune.
@@rah2287 Agreed, I actually think he is impressed with BabyMetal, he just can't admit that he made that auto tune mistake, and ended up finding a bunch of other reasons in every single song he proceed.
Seeing him tried so hard to find Su's weakness just in order to prove his point, has become ridiculous.

@@rah2287 I can't explain it exactly, but this song hits me with 90s pop anthem nostalgia. Not any specific song, just the general feeling.
I think this is the only Babymetal song where a pop singer could perform it, with the same instrumentation, and it wouldn't be completely out of place in their catalogue.

This BABYMETAL collab song with Jim Henson and The Muppets....oops sorry, Tim Henson and Polyphia (lol) is far too smooth and lacking in any emotion.
Polyphia are undoubtedly extremely skilled players, but it's all such a waste when the end result practically verges on "easy listening" music.
The album version has a really insipid/over processed guitar tone....at least when played live the Kami Band manage to give it a little more balls..... but I'm afraid
ultimately it's "Bland New Day" for me! :)
Brand New Day in my humble opinion is a beautiful song that accentuates Suzuka Nakamoto’s angelic voice and the signature Tim Henson Polyphia guitar performance complimented her very well. My opinion of course.

Su's wonderful voice is actually the only thing that makes this song listenable. Vince seems to prefer BABYMETAL's music to the vocals: that is just one of the things where I disagree with him. Best wishes to you anyway... and maybe I should include a trigger warning next time?!!! :)
