Sony could use better names for their products. Like, what the hell is "WF-1000XM3"? Apple has Airpods and Samsung has Galaxy Buds, but this... just how will I remember this Sony product when I decided to buy one month from now?

I’m new to noise canceling. All I’m looking for is, as I am watching my daughters dance class, will these silence all the women talking about their meatloaf recipes and other stuff I don’t want to hear? If so, there is no price I wouldn’t pay for these. Please advise
If you use these without cranking up some music then, no, they won't silence people chatting around you. Active noise cancellation works best on constant ambient background noises like airplane engines, highway driving, that sort of thing.

Dominick I it depends on the ear tips you are using. I’ve tried it in sony store and it manage to lower the voice to maybe 70%
I still don't understand how Apple can make quick and easy pairing a selling point ...like you only gonna pair the earphone few times to your devices in the entire life of the earphone

This feature is directed to people who change the device connection very often, going to iPhone /mac/iPad all the time. When you keep changing devices a lot, repairing the earbuds all the time sucks. So, that's the point of a flawless Bluetooth connection.

I am impressed with the sony Sound quality... superb! The same quality as the bose which I had as well.. noise cancelling is so impressive cause Before i slept like 4 to 5 hours and use as a sleeping buds now my sleeps is now more than 7 hours as it blocks the surrounding sounds...thanks sony!!

If You customize the EQ, ANC settings and all the touch control settings using the app on one device (your phone), and you connect the buds to another device (your computer) which doesn't have the sony app, wound the EQ settings and everything you just customized using the app be changed or will they remain unchanged?

I have these and I can’t really tell when noise cancelling is on or off but, they do sound great. I’ve tried every combo of seals and I can’t get a satisfactory fit. I’m returning mine. Also, the app doesn’t work with iOS 13.1 and above. There is a disclaimer in the app to warn you.

I got the WH1000XM3 and the headphones sound amazing with noise cancelling. So i had to get the WF1000XM3 as well. The in ear models are pretty good i hear. Had to get em cause the over ears make me sweat in the summer. Also got the sennheiser momentums because they sound much better

Do you have to use both earbuds at the same time (or can one remain dormant in the case)?
Can you use the left ear bud in the right comfortably?
M Lash first question: yes you can use either one just fine.
Second question: yes but it doesn’t fit really well and you will have to adjust them a lot and are not at all comfortable in the wrong ear.
Can you compare the newest WF-H800 to 1000XM3? I really like the colors of H800
Im a little bit confused. When you say "no wireless charging" do you mean that the case is not able to charge the earbuds unless it's connected to a wall?
Or is the case a battery bank (like all earbuds) that cant recharge itself wirelessly?
I hope it's the latter. The only reason I ask is because sometimes manufacturers make compromises on practicality and opt out for innovation instead. Like when phone manufacturers decided to get rid off the headphone jack to make room for "new" things
Yes the latter, unlike the new AirPods wireless charging case this case can only be charged from the mains, it can then charge the earbuds.
You lost me when you compared them with airpods. Apple earphones are for any average Joe and Sony offer is aimed at specific market of users who value same things as users of 1000XM3 headphone but have need for compact version. TWE market is full of interesting choices and you picked up airpods.

Two questions: (1) can the blue blinking lights be turned off ? (Or do they blink when wearing them?). And (2) can they connect to two devices simultaneously like Jabra elite 65t ?
unfortunately don't own a pair as of yet, but from reading the online sony documentation suggests that the blinking light stops when they are detected as being worn, they can only be paired/connected to one device at a time. hope that helps.
1. They only there to indicate the bluetooth is active, gone the moment you wear them.
2. They can't but the switching is quick enough almost similar to Bose switching.

However, I felt very compelled to have to point out the fact that you needed to mention that it comes with a carrying/charging case. I know someone out there is going to ask such a dumb question, so you just put it out there from the star; so I understand .

@@ArchilochusOfParos I doubt it makes a real difference when listening. Plus, the Sony earbuds have an upscaling technology that fills in the gaps on compressed audio. Still, would've been nice to see LDAC.

I read that these are not good for watching movies because there is latency with the blue tooth...so no good for watching movies...they are only good for music. That's a huge NO NO and deal-breaker for me if it's only good for music if it won't sync.
I've not had that issue, both of the buds connect individually to bluetooth which reduces lag and latency.
Astonishing, $230 and they support only SBC and AAC. Even more astonishing is these don't even support Sony's own LCAC:

What this reviewer fails to address, like so many audio reviewers, is the question of latency -- how well do these play audio and video in tight sync on both Apple AND Android devices? They might sound amazing, but if they can't stream video without having the audio register a half second later, they're pretty much useless for video and gaming. And after this review, that question still remains wholly unanswered.

This is a terrible review. It would be really good if someone could explain the difference between the adaptive sound to the ambient sound settings in the hat. All I want is full blown active noise cancelling going. How do you do that? I have them on now and I don't think it's cancelling anything so what are you guys all talking about?

Yes for me they fit very well and I wouldn't have any concerns, they are not IPX rated so you don't want to get them too wet.

These things are terrible. The fit is so bad, and the noise cancelling is just as bad. You'd rather go for airpods noise cancelling or the jabra elite 75t's.

Very biased review, a lot of information on sound quality which is better on Sony but omitting huge size of Sony case, price which is higher than airpods and also sound quality - earphones that go into ear canal and regular non intrusive airpods.
I don't get it, why every one compare 1000XM3 with Airpod? 1. Sony use type-C, winner. 2. better everything compare with airpod, especially music and Noise cancelling. Airpod music parts is so sucks. 3. Sony get more expensive price. No cheap price as Airpod.
