People have figured out that spending years getting nonsense "studies" degrees permanently sets them back in life.
Too expensive.
Maybe CSUs should discontinue their useless majors and teach students real skills and knowledge.
Considering that throughout the 2010s when I had friends going through the CSU system that couldn't take the classes they needed to graduate because it was full so had to stay another year, there is a silver lining to declining enrollment. Students can actually sign up for the classes they need.
The degrees are useless.
Better off going to trade school.
Cal State schools are designed to provide education at an affordable cost to people in their direct community. Students from So Cal or the Central Valley will need to pay for housing with presumably Loans? This is madness....
Something to consider , 2 year degrees , study your exact content , do internships and then acquire a job there with the right skill set. Communities colleges do this . Europe focuses on apprenticeships, we should increase this practice
Student Loans are loan sharks. If you burrow $50,000 and get a period of unemployment will cause the loan debt to raise. If you pay $600-$800 monthly, most of that money is paying interest while you are only removing $50 off the actual debt. It will take you 20-30 years to pay it off like a house loan. People who claim to pay it off like it’s nothing do not have student loans and are just talking 💩.
SF is too expensive. That’s it
It seems a lot of these kids come out with ideologies which yield ineffective, counter-productive results.
And if you listen to them, they lack basic practical understanding of history, civics, economics.
It is very strange.
You would think an education who help these kids, but it doesn't
Methinks the so-called education needs fundemental reform
Go into the Union ... starting salary is 60k and they train u wile you make money for a 6 figure job that AI won’t take from U ...
After taxes it’s 45k. Not including health’s insurance and other expenses (1,400) you’re probably left with 600 bucks at best each month.
Not saying it’s bad but it’s to start off but union can be physically demanding. But this is the only option unless you go to college for computer science or in high demand. Also lot OF OT.
@Ceezy223. Generally speaking a union pays for most if not all the health care costs. You just have to pay the union dues.
yes our package is $33 per hour and thats on top of the $60 hr we make. I don’t think the people on the street have any idea what a union construction worker is getting paid these days..@@Omen465
@@Omen465 they take some of the cost out of pocket via the union dues I imagine. Still worth it IMO. I would have done it if I didn’t choose to to do CS in college.
SFSU is a terrible campus for studying, and very police state-ish. Very few real students but tons and tons of employees creating a hostile learning environment.
This is terrible news-how will society function without help and guidance from all those sexuality/gender studies majors?
168% INCREASE IN ADMINISTRATION STAFF IN THE LAST 10 YEARS
Colleges in California are EXPENSIVE.
Uh, price of college
you only need a degree if you want to be a engineer, lawyer or Doctor. All other skills don't require a degree.
AI is taking over and a degree will not make you happy or money
Clowns as professors has a lot to do with students deciding not to be ripped off.
COLLEGE IS EXPENSIVE AND WORTHLESS
🤣Self Inflicted Wound
✔️ Increased Tuitions
✔️ Increased Rent
✔️Low Paying Liberal Arts Degrees
✔️Trade Schools & Tech Bootcamps getting you employed quicker.
They knew this trend was coming years ago. Glad to see it’s finally happening.
Waste of time and money
No jobs
a lot of ppl are moving out of the state. its simple math .
Make classes accessible for working individuals and Require internships to be paid. It’s too damn expensive to work and get a degree. Half these damn classes start when people have to work.
who cares….. califruity…
there are less kids in Gen z and younger. the baby boomers had a bunch of kids, and Gen X is just not as big a group of people, so they have likely had less kids.
This is what happens when you go woke.🎉
Computer engineer masters degree in México costs what a semester in a jr college here costs, dentist or civil engineer too. Biden can pardon worthless education debt but we broke our workforce.
Mr Reddy has so many gay flags in his office and can't figure out why people don't want to join his "school"
Go Woke.
Go Broke.
Good , hope these woke campuses go under.
No one pisses more money away than a Republican
No one is more racist than Democrats
What does that have to do with enrollment?
@@highlymedicated2438 it’s just important enough to point out everywhere kiddo

San Francisco is NOT🚫 "Northern" California ; it IS CENTRAL Coastal California.
It snows 🥶❄️☃️⛄⛷️🏂🎿🏔️🗻🚠🚡 in NORTHERN California; it does NOT 🚫 snow ❄️🌨️ in the CENTRAL Coastal City & County of San Francisco, California .
You're welcome.
The country gave the jobs to immigrants
Make classes easier then maybe enrollment will increase.
