    Very well shot video. Close-up shots on more challenging components are clear and well-lit. I especially like the steps on assembling the sear. I feel so much confident taking and putting apart my Shadow 2. I have just disassembled it. Giving the parts a nice clean and putting them together tomorrow. Thank you so much for this awesome video.

    I added the Ultimate kit and was following your video. At one point i found a small spare part that belongs to the right hand safety (no 15 on spar part diagram). Took a little while to localise its position. Other then that. Very very helpful video!

    Awesome video. One tip: if you’re putting an extending safety in, well…any safety…check that it fully seats first. It could require some fitting and you don’t want to be trying to check that with everything already installed.
    My issue happened to be that there was a lot of resistance on the flat, female safety side taking the rod. Rod being the post that has the cutout for the spring (sorry..can’t think of a better name for it). Once you pull the detent spring back, the safety should “snap” into place. I knew it was lined up correctly…it’s impossible to make a mistake as far as that goes. Spring was pulled up and over..
    I took a rubber mallet to it…was a bit worried but, it worked perfectly.

    I think Petri below may have mentioned it: When I was pounding out the disconnector pin, my frame fell of my table. When I reassembled my gun and started dry firing it my right safety was working itself out. I suspected I lost a part. I looked under my table to see what looked like a piece of trash but went for it anyway. It was a tiny machined piece of metal that fits opposite of the little safety thing you had to press on to fully insert your safety. Once I put that tiny part back in place, it held in my right safety lever as designed. Point being...try not to lose that little part in the right rear area. Great video. I had not watched it prior to my experience. It will be my go-to video in the future should I have to disassemble/reassemble my shadow 2. I had a hellava time putting back in my trigger return spring via an alternate means vs. how you did it; I was really sweating it.

    Overall a great video! But there was one little part I swear I didn't see you take out or put back in, the "safety detent plunger" on the right side (part #15 in the Shadow 2 parts schematic). The reason I bring this up is because when I first tried to change out the safety the gun slipped out of my hands and the pieces went flying. The sear assembly and the plunger on the left side with the spring were pieces that I could see in your video. But the tiny little plunger that holds the right side of the safety in place eluded me. At first I thought it might have broken off the sear assembly. After a careful inspection of the gun, like a jigsaw puzzle, I found the spot where the little piece seemed to fit. And it did. Just mentioning this because I can't imagine that I'm the only one who this happened to. And I apologize if I just somehow missed seeing this in your video although I looked very carefully both on the disassembly and reassembly and did not see you discuss it. Just thought I'd mention it.

      Hey Guys i diasassembled my Shadow II as well. I have the SA only model. Guess the plunger isnt build in at this model. I couldnt find that plunger in my weapon too. Am i right or is it missing?

    • @frenchaccent540
      @frenchaccent540 Před 3 lety

      Yes, there may be differences between CZ models. You can reach out to CZCustom and ask: info@czcustom.com
      One thing is sure, the DA model has 2 little parts located on each side of sear, one located on left side called safety detent plunger with a minuscule spring. The other to the right of sear, small part a little more squarish (no spring). Pain to remove and pain to put back!

    • @Gourmetpapermache
      @Gourmetpapermache Před 3 lety

      @@amdmyers On the DA/SA model that plunger is what makes the positive connection to the safety. If you have a safety on your SA variation then I would think that plunger would still be there. This guy does have a video showing the conversion to SA only. I don't know if the conversion makes it into the exact model you have, but if it does, then that video might be the one to watch. czcams.com/video/U6hkoA1kfnw/video.html

    The trigger bar spring and mag release spring loops, do they have to match up perfectly under the screw or is the only part that is important is where the hangers are even that pushup on the trigger bar?

    • @TheGunBench
      @TheGunBench  Před 4 lety +1

      I’ve seen them where they line up perfect under the bar but are bent around the screw from factory so I’d say under the trigger bar is most important

      @@TheGunBench badazz! I've installed a new one and the loops didnt line up but the hangers needed slight adjustment on one arm and it's perfect. No false reset or hammer pre-cock on trigger release. I like everything to be like factory like but it is what it is
