I believe Andy did not mention; It also has a small hex grub screw in the trigger, which limits the depth of the triggerpull (the "overtravel" if you will). A sweet little detail also, among others..
I just love this pistol. I truly waited lots for it to be released. Bought the airsoft version first, as the release of the 4.5mm airgun version took a bit of time for some reason. The only thing considered annoyingly plasticky, is the buttplate of the magazine, which can be felt as a bit loose on some magazines.
Talking about ASG...
Well then: definitely check out the new *ASG* *US-C* *1911* pistol! New mechanic stuff introduced there. Gas effiency with power - along with a short triggerpull finally introduced on a blowback pistol there!

🤣🤣🤣
I own the standard version of this gun and I have to say it's the most comfortable of the bunch. When it comes to ergonomy I've always been a 1911 guy.
This one beats the 1911 regarding comfort by just a tiny bit. Fits like a glove.
The one downside though is the the magazine BB slider. It is full plastic and will break quite easily if you let it snap back. So be very careful when loading your mag.
I've always looked down on BB guns because of the ricochet problem but with this CZ being accurate with the frangible rounds I can see it as a good indoor practice pistol. Time to save up again.
Nice to see good design & shooting details, and some mass and real metal in an air pistol. And to see such a handsome pistol that hasn't been "Hollywoodized" or "militarized" (stopped playing soldier when I was 10 yrs. old). Just a pleasing design w/form following function. Gee, ASG - how about a pellet version? Andy, thanks for another thoughtful, interesting review.
Having shot the real steel at the range the other day I was surprised when my friend showed me the BB version. There is literally no difference in weight, looks and function. The CZ are always very well engineered and the replica by ASG is no exception to this. Well done ASG and as always another cracking review by Andy
Hello Andy, not everything you test is of particular interest to everyone BUT your reviews are always carried out in a formative and professional way. Thanks for your dedication.
With your precise, to-the-point content and fun presentation, this channel is a treasure. After 40 years of pause, I returned to airguns, and many things have changed. We have so many choices these days! Good, but it can also get quite confusing. That's where your brilliant content really helps. Subscribed
Love the looks of this pistol! Great review as always Professor Andy!
Morning Andy, Great review.
Many thanks Andy for another great video full of surprises and interesting facts.
Have a great day and stay safe,
Joe
Very nice. These companies do such a great job recreating modern pistols for the airsoft community.
Thanks Andy, another informative review! It's great to see you getting a hands on with one of our most popular airgun pistols. I am looking forward to seeing you get hold of more of our products going forward. If you're interested in getting some more 'exclusive' hands on with things, let me know. I can get Clark on the case for you 😉 -JB
@1teamasg Your new US-C 1911 seems just fantastic!!
I absolutely want one!
@@brorjordas1979 Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad to 'hear' that it's caught your interest. After having tried it myself, it is certainly on my list too... customers come first though 😉. Maybe you should speak with Vector Air about getting some in stock 😜 -JB
@@1teamasgHey Guys is there any way to get one of your Pistols in the country of Georgia? I didn't see any online market shipping here but there were some magazines in neighboring countries
❤ the Shadow2!!!
These are really close to the real thing ,ideal for training . I have both
Another informative review.
Good morning, Friday and AAR viewers...later watching than usual...pesky work getting in the way.
Definitely check the ASG CZ-P07 pistol. Equal realism, easy load of co2 and great accuracy.
I manage to get coin-sized groups from 9 meters with the non-bb version. I love it!
And its little 'striker' brother, the Bersa BP9cc.
Yes ... Very nice .
I have the shadow 2 and 1. I almost prefer the 1. But they are both excellent and have compatible mags
I have the original CZ75, and it's really nicely made.
It's also the closest I could find to a Browning HP, which I wish they would make.
Good one brother.
New to this channel. Andy, I like the way you talk
Nice looking pistol
i have the cz p09 non shadow version and i really like it, will deffo be getting the shadow 2 aswell i think
Good morning people . Nice peice of kit
Yes I heard the buzzard
Me too!
I looked up the dust devil mk2 and apparently I have purchased them before and they still have the band around the bb
Friday mornings with Andy are always on the list, thanks for the review. Any chance you can get your hands on the ATA Airborne.177 which is now available in the UK? Just a thought, keep them coming, stay safe 👍😎
I have this pistol and the CZ75. Real nice.
This looks fun. I kinda want to get one and see how it compares to the real deal trigger wise. Maybe tinker with it.
Great video as always Andy. I have two of these blowback bb pistols, the glock 17 gen 4 and the hk usp and both now jam up as soon as they've fired the first mag and the co2 presure drops slightly so wont be investing in any more of them sadly!
I have the same Glock as you and mine locked as well after a while. Turns out it was the magazine causing the problem. Unfortunately my Glock no longer stays open on last round now though.. Hey hi.
Hi love how informative you in your reviews have you reviewed the ATA airborne? I've been going threw you videos and can't see one
Are you planning on reviewing the snowpeak p35 behind you? I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
Top of the morning everyone
That Doe's Luck Nice 👌Cheers Andy
It's am airsoft gun modified to use 4.5 mm bbs. ASG have made the airsoft version for a few years. Have you ever seen hop up on an airgun? I have both version and they're identical. Which isn't a bad thing.
I like it alot too
Muy bueno el video como siempre , like de tu suscriptor y saludos desde el mediterraneo.
Bit low on the velocity front at under 300 FPS with steel BB 's.While it's not all about power power does affect accurate shooting at a distance and crawling projectiles are going to be dropping quickly.
Nice!
Heard the Buzzard....Nice gun..
Excellent review. Why do you not mention copper coated lead BB`s?
Looks nice thing. I have one question from Andy as he is very knowledgable. Airsoft pistoles comes with with built in gas reservoir which mean no need for CO2 cartridges. Why this technology is not available in air pistol or are there any which I am not aware off thanks
The only issue I've had with my Shadow 2 is if the seals go in the magazine it is completely impossible to buy a replacement. Oh they'll tell ya they can order one, they can even take your money.....but you ain't getting one. You have to pull a sneaky magazine swap instead...
one of the worst i had, after three magazines shot, slide lock stoped to lock back, outer barel cracked and slide lock pin started to have problems going back oin the pistol after asambly
@13:00 Yes I can hear it :-)
Looks great.... as accurate as a shotgun in the review, maybe it's better when tweaked.? I don't expect super accuracy from a BB replica but some semblance of it (for me) is mandatory.
i own this and it is top quality
Please do a review of the Walther ppks please Andy
Hi. is adjustable hop up mechanism really useful ?
I understand you are airgun channel, but you should review the Ekol ASI Full automatic Blank Firing Submachine Pistol
Pellet version and I'll buy it instantly.
what about the Orange that came this year? what are the differences?
I wrote them and asked if they could make either a Pellet diabolo orange shadow 2 or a paintball Shadow 2 like the Umarex new Glock paintball pistol... and they actually directly replied me that they will have a discussion about this with the team in Denmark and will consider it.... but what to get for this year is my question? I either want a very precise pistol for dynamic shooting sport training at home with pellets that can mimic a real gun for quick reloads, , precise shooting at dynamic shooting targets etc or a paintball gun that one can mimic self defence scenarios with while training with other people with, so to do Krav Maga techniques and when freed to shoot draw a training gun like a paintball gun to fight off the perpetrators in such training scenarios for self defence with... what then to choose in mid 2023?
Morning Andy, Id like to see you try some excite copper coated lead bb’s. They are low richochet and a lot cheaper than dust devils.
I use the Excite copper too, and they flatten out and don't ricochet when shot into my target funnels, so I second this motion!
review completed… will be out….Soon! stay safe, Andy
I use them on my 1911 for iron plate shooting at 10M. No richochets at all.
Is there any way to get a replacement magazine as I've seen to have lost mine, links would be helpful
Is there anything else being produced other than co2 pistols?
I wish they could make a PCP replica pistol somehow... Would cost more than the real deal at that point though. Would have to be a crazy area in there to hold air
I would carry one of these on me ONLY if I have a gold chain on too 😂
Is it double action, like the standard CZ75?
Great review but a shame it's not available as a pellet gun!
That's why they've got the CZ P-09 for. Damn great pellet pistol. Got a couple of them.
But. Yeah. A pellet Shadow2 would still be way awesome.
Hi Andy
I have a budget of 400-500 for a full pcp air rifle kit. Any recommendation? For target practice and the occasional pest control.
I can also go for a CO2 if you advise to.
I had a spring air rifle years back, that is my experience in air rifles.
P35 in the background........ that is interesting😉
Para disparar a 10m cualquier pistola de airsoft disparará mucho mejor que una de bbs metálica y encima con mucha más personalización y repuestos y uogrades que hará que disparé mucho mejor que cualquiera de bbs metálicas....
Just wondering how many times you have to say not for pest control as some goon I worked with said his BB was brilliant at rat work.great work Andy presenting this but low power BB not my thing👍
Andy i have been watching you reviews now for a few years, and I would love see a comparison between high end and low end springers, incorporating pellet choice and hold sensitivity. To be honest i own both an air arms pro sport and an smk th208, also throw in a bsa meteor bsa made in Birmingham, no it not the old the spend more get more I really love shooting all of them and for different reasons. But i feel it would really be interesting to get your take on this, the "weaponised hippie" has some very good input but i would like to see this from another point of view, both of which I would add I have a great deal of respect for. Now i am not talking about the rifles i have mentioned and nor do i want to impose, but i would love to see a collabartion and test results, chrono and pellet sorting and effect on accuracy. also a lot more but i am really want to just open the debate and leave to you to open up this debate #
best regards
"There's a buzzard up there, let's keep it in range....I mean eye shot" lol
The steels must cause more wear on the barrel 🤔… wonder if the “action air” bunch could put a red dot sight on the slide 🧐
Do you think this bb pistol is comparable to Umarex Beretta 92A1? Unfortunately, where I live in the US, the CZ Shadow 2 air pistol costs twice as much! Do you think it's worth it?
Morning all
Cracking video as always 😊 is there a Lugar pistol you could recommend? 😉
I Have an Umerex Legends Luger PO8, and it's fantastic. As accurate in looks and feel as you could want, all metal construction, except for the plastic grips (real wooden Luger grips can be modified to fit it).
It operates in the same way as the real thing, and is as close as you can get to owning the genuine item.
@@jeffreybarton1297Lugers often had grips made of bakelite an early form of plastic, so having them on the Lugers is quite realistic in actual factuallity.
@@biggusdickus5986 Yes, indeed 👍 I was commenting more on the all metal construction rather than the historical accuracy. I have a set of the wooden grips for mine, but I haven't fitted them yet. I don't know if I'll bother. It's not an easy task, as it requires carving away wood on the inside, to accommodate the bulge of the gas cylinder. The grips were made for a real Luger, rather than the CO2 one.
So stupid not to put a simple notch in the BB loading slot so the spring can be held while loading. This would have been so easy to have provided.
Totally agree
Please review the 1911 we the people
The blue grip spoils it a bit for me. Just personal preference I know. Did you mention the price? Sorry if I missed that bit.
273$
Is this CZ made by the CZ in Czechia?
good morning
That irish fella again Rick O'Shey.
Good news with the Dust Devils though. Stay safe, Andy
Sorry I would not go for this at since it is jus BB gun bla .. make it pellet gun yes in both calibers , now your talken mate !
When are these manufacturers going to make a pistol to the UK legal limit?
Were just fobbed of with toys even though good fun they need to up there game.
Good video as always keep them up.
It's like the real one. Forgive a stupid question from a Colt CZ shareholder: does ASG or who produces it pays some royalties to the Colt CZ Group? How much?
how can you do so many pistol reviews and still haven't figure out how to pour bbs straight from the container xD
Re: The safety. Load the mag, don't cock the hammer.....pull the trigger. The hammer will come back and the weapon will discharge. It's just a 6lb pull now, rather than a 2lb. The safety catch, as Andy says, only works when the hammer is cocked.....which is a flaw IMO.
Now I have it several months and I begin to be disappointed. The accuracy is not good. Of course, maybe I m not good either. But I can shoot a beer can with Umarex Beretta M 9 from 20 meters and my results in the shooting center are not that bad (I shoot with 0.22 guns).
But with this one I tried also short distances, like 6 meters and feels like Im blind. Or maybe I had just some bad days.
Wow, I had NO idea CZ even ventured into the air gun market.
that is no cz it's ASG
@@romano3064 indeed, licenced by CZ ;-)
@@romano3064 they most definitely had to authorize the build, at least. Do I really have to be so specific as to say “I didn’t think CZ even cared to acknowledge the air gun market by authorizing their name and design usage” ??? I think you could have gathered that much
@@sportosp-0158 well, you wrote it like cz is making the air gun,, my bad..
@@romano3064 ehh, it’s alright. I was speaking vaguely. And I was crabby when I first woke up. No worries
Is there a pistol like that, that fires pellets without the blowback and is accurate. But not just 8 rounds the full 17? And metal and accurate? Or am I just dreaming? I like the idea of a more sophisticated gun like this but with a more accurate pellet firing mechanism and a rifled barrel. I have a SW m29 it's really quite good, but would like a larger shot count.
Look up the glock 17 dual ammo or the sig sauer m17 which both fire pellets. Both of which Andy has done a review on. I'd love the m29, is it accurate? Many thanks Joanne
Personally, I would be a bit nervous, having buzzards circling over MY head!!! 😂
3 words "Blue hand grips"
Well, the real steel has blue grips also, so you should probably avoid that one too..............
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thought he was gonna shoot the buzzard 😮
Never! I am very fortunate to have a full and varied amount of wildlife.
stay safe Andy
goodmorning all!
I had REALLY high hopes for the ASG CZ 75 and I thought to myself it this gun shoots as good as it looks I will purchase the Shadow 2. That was until the first time I shot it! Accuracy was absolute garbage for a $150 gun. After seeing your groups at 10 meters there is NO way I will spend $300 when I can purchase a Crosman for $50 and get that kind of accuracy!
Mmmmm nice gun as a replica but personally i think its a shame that a replica of a gun that is comp gun is co2 BB. It perhaps should have been pellet with a rifled barrel.
Not sure about this. For a "target" pistol, the results are not that impressive. Lots of spin adjusting needed? The attraction is more about a replica of a famous gun?
Time you got some magazine loading aids and save your fingers.
What do you suggest Cap ?
You lost me at BB firing
I love the Sport of shooting for target practice and hunting but I can't help feel that these type of pistols in the wrong hands could only result in no good. I would personally Ban them
💪 Promo sm
Why are all these pea shooters nowhere near the 6ftlb limit, 4-5 would be acceptable but 1ftlb its almost useless. Im guessing its just a way around the law when most people wanting a replica would buy airsoft but now they cant without UKARA or having it painted pink. So its basically an airsoft gun that shoots in 4.5mm, just shows how stupid UK law is.
I suspect you are correct. Making it exceed 1 Joule makes it an air pistol under UK law, so it can be legally sold in an all black finish to UK adults with no need for a UKARA.
Please mention up front when you are reviewing a BB gun. That way I can quickly move along to something else. This video didn't reveal that this gun shoots only BBs until 2 1/2 minutes into it.
Now Then.
Shotgun performance
You mentioned, the gun is made out of metal. Please be more precise.
Steel.
Disappointing to see yet another inaccurate plinking gun. Not something i have an interest in. I would be good to include a little more balance with some higher-end kit reviewed along with budget and these pistols
Occasionally I get comments from people about my mix of content… I have in the past given figures about the percentages of pistols, high end, budget, rifles, tactical etc etc… I believe I am the only channel that has such a varied and balanced content, but as my dear old mother would say “you cant please everyone all of the time” (try as I may).. alternatively I could fill the channel with high end rifles (just the same as all the paid for reviewers) …..nah! Sorry, I will continue to cover off all aspects of the sport rather than be a ‘one trick pony’. hopefully it will please the vast majority.. stay safe, thanks for your opinion, Andy.
@@AAROnair I thought the 'dust devils' gave decent accuracy for a a smooth bore - but I woudn't use one of these for a a classical 10 m air pistol match.
I have a Feinwerkbau 100 for such things but I'm also a huge fan of the FAS 604 and 6004.
