Thank you, Jan,!!! Finally, someone that actually talks to the manufactures and gets highlights of their equipment. The rest of the u-tubers spend more time taking pictures of other u-tubers than looking at equipment. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Excellent video Jan! Much appreciate you taking the time to video and share information when you could be just enjoying the expo. You are very thoughtful and generous. Well done!
Thanks for the tour! Growing up on a farm in Minnesota the biggest tractor we had was a 4020 JD. Times have certainly changed! LOL. Looking forward to the next video.
KNOW HOW MUCH YOU ENJOY-AND UNDERSTAND-THE EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGY SO GREAT YOU MADE IT TO THE SHOW. I THOUGHT THE SALES REP SAID THERE WERE OTTERS IN THE BAILER.
I can't believe how that machine can put down one teeny tiny seed of say lettuce or carrots... that is crazy !!... but yet so Amazing !!... those seeds are tiny .. but wow... love the videos !!... Thank you !
Very cool Jan, one thing that I've been dying waiting for on these new tractors is more cameras. All cars have them now, they should have one showing the hitch, another up high that could show behind and another forward. With a nice display that you could toggle thru the different views. Let's make it happen!
Hi Jan,wow what a big machines from John Deere, realy awesome, those big wiels oh man, great to see, thanks for showing us.maybe you can sell one for on your farm hehehe...
Thanks Jan. You should have asked if they fixed the knotter issue. Ironically they have the remote feature to operate the baler slow to troubleshoot knotter problems
I'm not a farmer but I have always been a huge lover of John Deere's and I took on a position for snow removal in a city in Ontario this year for a company that ordered just under a dozen brand new 3046R John Deere tractors and I have changed my mind about John Deere's. I have been in 3 of the brand new 3046R's and non of them function the same, most importantly, their hydraulics. The doors are poorly installed, the back window, in mine, I had to fix with wood, using my carpentry skills, {allthough John Deere had supposedly fixed a few of them) and so much more! I am seriously disappointed in what was once my greatest attraction to farming!
Such a great video! Hello from Central Wisconsin! My kids LOVE watching you farm! Have you every been to World Dairy Expo in Madison, WI? Such an amazing experience and we take our kids every year! You’d love all the booths and SO many cows for the show! Check it out!
Jan how tall are you?? I see how you’re towering over everyone and the comment that your friend made about head room , even for you, peaked my curiosity!!!
@@felix-oliviermichaud8961 I think he may be more like 6'5" 6'6" but that is just a guess based on how he compares to others. Hard to tell without knowing anyone else's height.
Here’s a question you should ask is the Baler actually made by John Deere or is it just spray-painted John Deere colors because John Deere is known to do that with Hey equipment
Nothing runs like a Deere we have a dealer just up the street from us . You didn’t ask cost. I can’t imagine how much you would pay for those big machines.
I've asked before, but don't recall an answer, please, how tall is Jan? I enjoy the contrast between the Canadian farmer in the Southern US farming area!
Did I understand the fellow talking to you about the new 9R 640 correctly when he said that it had the same 13.6L John Deere engine as the 9X Combine? If he did say that, which is what I understood him to say, then he's incorrect, both the 9R 620 and it's new replacement, the 9R 640 use the Cummins X15 engine, which is a 14.9L engine that's used in a majority of new Class 8 Road Tractors. "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌👍🇺🇸
Ask farmers with time critical harvest crops what is like working with junk Deere. They actually despise the idea that you should be able to work on your own equipment that you own bought and paid for.
I believe "Right to Repair", or the lack of it, is a serious problem for a multitude of manufacturers, not just Deere and farming. Support your legislators who are fighting to force companies to allow us to fix our products! 👍
No Name A "Thermal Event" is the piece of equipment catching fire and possibly being completely destroyed depending on how fast the fire can be put out 🔥🔥🔥
@@gavinperry7237 in that instance he didn’t mean equipment catching fire, but the bales themselves (and the barn they might be in) combusting after they’re put up for storage.
@@gtt5691 You are correct that fires comes in many forms. With the cost & shortage of hay today loosing hay in storage could easily be a bigger lose than a piece of equipment but either way not a good day for a cattle farmer.
There seems to be a lot of controversy over John Deere right to repair technology. Anything a farmer does on a modern tractor, beginning with opening the cab door, generates messages captured by its main onboard computer, which uploads the signals to the cloud via a cellular transmitter located, in many Deere models, beneath the driver’s seat. These machines have been meticulously programmed and tested to minimize hazards and maximize productivity, Deere says, and it’s all too complicated for farmers to be getting involved in. “One tweak could cascade throughout an entire software system and lead to unintended consequences,” says Julian Sanchez, Deere’s director of precision agriculture strategy and business development. I know new vehicles are almost impossible for home mechanics to troubleshoot and fix themselves now so I am not surprised with all the bells and whistles agriculture equipment is coming out with these days that has translated to them as well. Problem is some producers live hours away from a dealership and down time will become a larger issue especially if it is just sensor related as a lot of automotive problems are these days.

You had me at 956hp😳!
Shoulda asked JD why they don't want farmers to save money by fixing their own machines.
If he asked that question he'd be shunned.

Hey Jan. Are most salesmen that short or are you just tall? I have watched hundreds of your videos and never realized how tall you really are.

we just bought an 8R 340 and 8R370 with the LSW tires
Everything is so expensive to buy brand new. I don't really know how anybody can do it, but good for them if they can. Thanks for another video man.
Just curious, is it John Deere or Jan Deere… lol
Great video though, as always

Very enjoyable and knowledgeable video on John Deere equipment. Jan how tall are you?

I figured a John Deere representative would not have the word umm in his vocabulary lol. Like umm all the time

I do hope ya didn"t do the lenthly John Deere commercial for free. On TV they would have to pay big bucks for that much air time.
