    BR-V is now available for booking, not that anyone would buy in a hurry these few days whilst we are in the midst of a movement restriction order.
    We don't expect any major changes mechanically, and take this opportunity to publish a video we did some time ago.
    This particular vehicle was one of the first few units registered when the BR-V first was introduced. Since then it has run faithfully with zero breakdown. So far only a set of front wipers and a set of tyres have been replaced.

      Tue BR -V is like a Honda City on stilts. Same engine and transmission, and 120 horsepower. The Rush is more hardy and has a very strong chassis. If you want better power, it's the BRV and if you want reliability and a car that goes on forever, it's the Rush.

  • @Shawn-pq5gp
    @Shawn-pq5gp Před 3 lety

    Hi uncle im thinking of buying my first car in about 1-2months. been doing extensive research. i wonder if you've done any testing on honda mobilio or whether they have that in msia.
    im kind of set on the BRV/mobilio because it seems to be the fastest/snappiest suv in this price bracket, i'm a snappy driver so i'd enjoy a car with some decent acceleration when needed to do overtaking in the hectic bangkok streets (but generally I let the car slowly accelerate when needing high speeds), drive a family around (planning to start a family in a couple of years/option of bringing the grandparents as well), can't be too big an SUV cuz wife wants to drive it too (we rented the fortuner last year and she commented it was far too big for her). I also don't like spending too much so I'll be looking at a 2nd hand 2015-2017 car.
    are there are differences about the 2 cars (brv vs mobilio) that you especially want to highlight?
    if not, would this car be the best car for my budget? thanks uncle for taking the time to read and reply!

    • @Shawn-pq5gp
      @Shawn-pq5gp Před 3 lety

      also, i must say i really don't mind the sound at all. i actually like hearing the engine, it's like you're playing a game u know when u step the gas u hear some nice natural bass haha.
      how's the comfort and suspension compared to other suvs in this price range?

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  Před 3 lety

      The Mobilo is not available here. Only the BR-V. It is a great car if you are looking for a 7 seater, but a young man like you might find the Jazz or City more exciting.

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  Před 3 lety

      But if you want to start a family and want to take the parents along, the BRV would be great. If you can get the Mobiliobin Bangkok, that would be better because you can get more space.

      @@YSKhongDriving thanks for reading and taking the time to reply uncle.
      I rented a city in 2019 and absolutely loved how exciting it was- pickup was snappy; and had significantly much more fuel economy than I ever remembered with any other car. maybe 4-7 hrs of total road time travelling to other states and didn't spend much to top up the petrol before returning it to the rental company. but then again, i'm thinking more long term use of the car, maybe in the next 5-10 years and I'll have a wife, maybe 1-2 kids, 2 grandparents, 1 sis-in-law, 1 uncle. max 5 adults 2 kids. so it'd be nice to have a vehicle to ferry us all when it's needed, but I still like a snappy drive, and read that the BRV/mobilio has the same engine as the city/jazz! hence i've more or less narrowed it down to the BRV :D (previously comparing vs avanza - i.e. very reliable i read)
      I think you mean that the BRV has more space? a number of sources ive been reading up on has the BRV on longer length, wider width and taller height.

    Hi Uncle. Good to have the BRV for Genting Run. Just my suggestion, best is also have a drive with full load 7 adult video to try the power measurement to climb Genting to compare with similar competitors. Driven a rented BRV once but not full load up Genting. To me power is good enough. BRV is built at affordability sense so the car generally is noisier due to lack of built-in NVH. New owners may need to enhance the NVH out there. Have a plan to own one too.

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  Před 4 lety +5

      I don't even have 7 people in the entire organization. Anyway we do not do comprehensive testing for all angles and loads. You would have to pay us to do such a test. So what you see is what you get. Otherwise we would be doing 10 videos for each vehicle and spend a month testing one car.

    Saya beli untuk wife..Good safety rating. (For its kind)..Fuel economy is extremely good...Keta ni design for city commute, and light offroad, unpaved road or may be jalanraya lama..so not for speeding ya...So no need 6 airbags ya. not a high way speed cruising speed vehicle but ok drive at average speed of 10-150km/j... but best under 120km/j.. ( it is not for speeding on highway or a track car🤭🤭😁)..thats why u see it dont use 4 brake disc instead using 2 brake disc and 2 brake drums.... it can be drive for fun purpose or may be shopping/groceries or need space for some items to be transport, or may be need to go for picnic (human transport). but not meeting the comfort level for traveling more than 4 hrs continously. This car has limited storage n compartment. .well the seats are not for that purpose.. Even luggages space is small.well yes it has roof box rails.. which increase wind resistant and fuel ..but its fit for outdoor activities purpose or short trip that required extra carrier ..its design for short trip for fun... love this car very much .. practicality on daily use meet my family purpose (family of 7-small kids). Its segment B which has very low maintenance cost which give you less hassle and headaches plus this car will do better than other segment B car but lesser than a compat MPV but still serve as a mini suv. Incredibly its really do all these 3- city, small MPV, mini/light suv cross over..
    Buy car that meet your purposes🥰🥰.. a car that can fit 7 people + rooftop carrier is not design for speed.. a segment B car which can fit 7 people..well you know what i meant..may be Xpander will slightly meet the expectation..
    For my wife use.. 5 stars.. i got MPV by the way
    My only comment for BRV is no 360 camera view. Well it has blind spot at far end right left and center.(front).So hard to predict when you try to park your car..

    Underpowered for a 7-seater. Zero sound insulation, road noise and traffic noise very audible. Dust gets in cabin too easily. Dashboard and rear seats rattles. Thin rubber door seals. Check out the gaps too between the plastic side panels and the floor. Car Jack holder "designed" to scratch it even before use. Car new too. Fraudulent quality by Honda!

      @@YSKhongDriving Too bulky and maintenance issues. Overall I would say Honda didn't live up to its name. The problems highlighted should not be with any new car, especially a Honda. Customer support lacking too. Into my 3rd month now waiting for solution to remaining issues.
