    You should do a little research on the geologic past of walker lake, I know the walker river feeds into it, Walker lake does not drain, probably by evaporation.

    yeah the Walker River used to feed it and that water has been diverted for farms before it gets there. The do have farms in N. Nevada. Its a leftover lake of ancient Lake Lahontan,, so is Pyramid Lake.

    Was a decent Lake many years ago, last time I was there was pretty sad shape 10-12 yrs ago.

    I give you a little help on your algorithm here with this comment but the reason why nobody would go and stay two weeks there's not a single tree for Miles no shade nothing it looks like a Barren Wasteland with nothing but a mosquito pond in the middle

      Different experiences for various people. Wide open sky and land has its attraction and its who you are with and what activities you find to do that make any place great when the weather is good. Take care neighbor.

    I thought Mono Lake was like Salton Sea for sure. Is walker lake salt water?
