Borders were there before white people colonized africa, and that's why we have different tribes who lived separate from each other. To be realistic, malema will not rectify what has been there for over 100 years in a few years. He will not change the mindset of people who have lived in border society before white people colonized africa and made their own borders apart from the tribal borders that were made by kings. Our problems as a country are employment, water, electricity, food, and shelter. Those are the relevant issues he must solve before opening borders so that all countries benefit by the open borders. Opening the borders now will not solve those problems but worsen our problem because there will be a bigger population to deal with than the population we have already. It is a future idea, but it is only possible once all african economies are sitting on a similar level, and I don't think it can happen in our lifetime. They brought a bill to expropriate land in parliament that led to subsequent public consultations which proved people are crying for land. The ANC which is ruling and have majority in parliament has since stalled on the matter. You don't need to like Julius but be factual. How is what they're doing all talk?

2. In europe you need to qualify to be part of The Schengen Area, which are countries with open borders, however there are restrictions like staying for 80days. How will he address people over staying in countries if he does not have a solution to our current problem which is illigal immigration.
3. Not all of europe has open borders, you need to join The Schengen, 19 countries in europe aren't part of it. Also not the entire europe uses the euro, you need to meet the qualifying criteria for your country to use the euro.
4. How will he convince the other african leaders with different political views accept this proposal.
5. Africa has terrorists groups like boko haram, you will be opening dangers to rest of africa with open borders. How are you going to address terrorism and human trafficking which will be amplified by open borders
6. He also talk of 1 currency. You will 1st have to get all countries currencies to be on par inorder to aggregate it as 1 strong currency.
7. South africa is under threat to over population because it is the only countries with the most active industries and a strongest economy. Opening borders will strain our economy because everyone will want to come to SA.
