I have said many times that there are so many things that were happening decades and decades ago, that are happening today, that could not be stupidly turned into conspiracies as there were no social medias of any kind to spread them. So many things that happen today, which are touted as ever so unusual and weird, have happened in the olden days without any drama as a result. The media, of course, hype up and over dramatise things to gain audiences and subscribers.

Fun and uplifting task, and I'm getting rid of a few things that have served their purpose. Some things are just being moved to new spots but I am getting new pillow covers and a sofa slipcovers. 👍
Hi Guys. I am catching up on videos. We have had no electricity or internet for 6 days post hurricane Beryl. It was miserable here in the Texas heat and humidity. It was great to have that kindle during the outage. I admire how Vivi can store her food but we regularly lose the power and everything in the fridge/freezer. Have a great week.
I used, when I tought in primary school, to have an end of term/ year paper aeroplane contest with the remains of paper in my art cupboard. Paperclips and selotape were allowed but no glue! They tried different papers, folds, placement of paperclips etc. They learnt a lot. Folks who come into schools with such projects help non academic kids tremendously and often inspire them to work to get qualifications to do practical careers. I often think there is too much emphasis on pure academia in schools - we also need engineers, chemists, plumbers, gas engineers, architects etc.
We do take things for granted don’t we? This week I shall take note and be more thankful 😇I am really looking forward to the perfume videos I have always been interested in oils!! Keep safe 🌸x
While we have all these luxury conveniences...we're still very fragile. We do depend too much on digital when it could all go away in a poof! We've become complacent. I feel we overdo everything until we implode on ourselves. I'm a prepper...wouldn't you like to be a prepper too 🤣🤣🤣! Sorry an old Dr. Pepper commercial reference. Anywho...thank you Richard and Paul for another great show. 💜💜
Another great episode but I was sorry to hear Richard say that he has been receiving thumbs down on his weekly vlog. Why nasty people do that is always a mystery. Why can’t they just not watch and therefore not comment. I guess they are just sad sitting in front of their monitors or tablets with nothing else going on in their lives. Lovely chat chaps. I only do You Tube, no other social media so I don’t get all this weird stuff…I wouldn’t look into the sky and automatically think they were anything other than ‘normal’ clouds! Am I leading a very sheltered life, although I do believe in life of some sort out there somewhere is that really weird? 😻🙏❤️
I use cash for everything… I take it out of the bank on a Friday and if I have any left at the end of the week I put it in a jar, and start again - and if I need to buy something out of the ordinary, I take money out of the jar :-) Simples. (I think it helps that I hate shopping - so the jar is never empty!)
We do take a lot of technology for granted. We lost electricity for 6 days after a cyclone in February last year. Our oven and stove top are both electric. Our phones were both linked to our internet service provider via our computers so we lost all access to information and contacts. I drove to the local supermarket to try and get information and was told by a tradie that the bridges were all down so I wouldn't be able to get to work that afternoon. The streets were so dark at night that even with headlights on we couldn't see street names or landmarks. And all the petrol station pumps ran on electricity so there was no fuel available. The absolute godsend through those 6 days was that our water supply wasn't affected so we still had running water.
I have an idea. You found out from the Word of the Week, that it was International Rock Day. There are so many of these random international days, maybe a section on that? Reckon you would find a lot if weird and wonderful days like that 😂

Oh, how I wish I could shift 10 degrees your way. Today was 37 C, but at least it's cooling to 18 tonight. The TV satellite that serves my village has been out for two weeks, no TV signal. Luckily, I watch what I like on TV through my computer. Today, I went to The Historic Alexandra Lodge for their restoration fundraiser. It was a long drive and brutally hot, so I only stayed for four hours, then retreated to the AC in my minivan and headed back to my air conditioned house. The oddities gathered by the local paranormal group is what drew me. I did a psychometric reading on a WWII German helmet and was invited to join them in November for a ghost hunt.
