My Leading Petty Officer ( E6 ) took me out carousing Charleston , South Carolina with the rest of my Division . My question is Why does the US Army feel the need to treat new soldiers like garbage ?
Exactly. Granted my first experience in the fleet was getting off at 10 am cause someone committed suicide so there’s that, but yeah, the navy is shit for its own reasons but I can’t fathom why they treat mfs like they’re still in boot. If someone told a sailor in the fleet to drop in any setting other than PT I’m pretty sure they’d just stare at them like they’re an idiot. I was on the USS Theodore roosevelt, CVN 71, currently stationed on misawa air base and I’ll be getting out in exactly one year
I’m not in the military but I agree. Yeah it might make their soldiers more immune to stress but still, both the army and USMC take it kinda far over nothing

The navy sounds like a dream from that comment, is that the norm? 😮
It doesn't happen in all units, but there are many where the leadership is toxic.
@@Me-eb3wv Pretty much , yes .
Had to fight a corn fed PFC my first 15 minutes lmao
This is why you should be an officer instead of getting enlisted
Being in the Marines for 8 years I can confirm this is 100% accurate!! 😂
When I got to my first unit I got told to fuck off till Friday and figure out how to in process to the post
The only way I was staying in was if I became an officer
This is so accurate.
Send him home
Officers always get better things better pay better everything
Major different? The Private will get the PTSD effect by been roasted and in the end they can either be a SGT/SSG or SMG
The Second Lieutenant? Well they have a Potential to be a CPT/COL to GEN seen they are the IQ but the enlisted
Please don’t scare me, I’m going to my first unit in Korea on Monday.
Good luck!
@Chris Kurisu I’m in 2ID and Im enjoying my unit so far, my sgt’s are cool as hell everyone jokes around at work and my Sargent already calls me his best friend, so I’m gonna enjoy Korea while I’m here.
You already responded to it but I'm sure that people have already told you that Korea is a different experience than the CONUS army and it's true, but that doesn't mean that you can't learn everything that you can out there. Don't be afraid of the locals nearby and the culture but don't also get lost in the Ville or Seoul or anywhere else cause they also don't like Soldiers too much as well... You've been there for a bit now so hopefully you're being smart and keeping your nose clean cause it's a good duty station in Korea but it can also be something that jades you to the Army or breaks your career because of a misstep
as an 11B i dont see a problem gotta have your joes strong af lol 😂
First day my platoon Sgt had jumping off a couch like it was a c130 ach and all 😂
My experience... "Oh! You're a college SPEC!!!"
The spa music in the background was hilarious 😂
😂😂😂😂 yeaaa damn i miss being in #DD214gang
And that’s why I’m gonna join the Air Force as an officer and not enlist 😂
I’m dying this is so funny 😊
Got out and E6 can confirm my first day as a private at my infantry unit lololol
Army really needs to respect the enlisted more because they do 99% of the work
Ah, 75th pvts 4 hours after graduating RASP 1
Thanks for the heads up
When I reported in as LT a sergeant posed as my company commander and our nbc warrant officer sat in as battalion commander just busting balls. It was pretty hilarious. When I reported in enlisted fellow boot & I spent night waxing and buffing hallway.
Nothing but facts here lmao.
When I first reported I ran into two Sergeants from my section who were both ETSing. They immeadiately started arguing about who was going to take me as their PL, because neither wanted to fucking deal with me.
*Shit was wild, and honestly eye opening.*
It's crazy what a little college can do
My buddy is in the army had one of his soldiers just pushin cause of so stupid shit they did 😂😂he told me he was eating yogurt and just watching his guy push 😂😂 my buddy is super laid back, so I KNOW his soldier did something VERY STUPID 😂
When I first got to my company my arms stepped in first before my legs did
I feel called out.
Yup.. when I got to my first unit as enlisted I got my sh*t pushed in w a 3 hr smoke sesh.. fast forward 6 years, I showed up to my unit after BOLC and I was treated like I was a goddamn congressman
I have heard, poof, go away when first checking as jr. enlisted.
Only real ones come from Sand Hill.
My first unit which was in fucking korea was horrible. B troop 4/7 cav. We had a smoke session followed by the stupid alert to get full battle rattle. Mind you I didn't even have my ruck or ta-50 but they assigned me m16 and meet at the motor pool and then pull security. All this in freezing weather and a plane ride from knox that was like 20 something hours long followed by a long as bus ride that smelled like crap.
LMFAO 😂😂😂😂 soooo accurate. Just wait until the SSG meet the new LT. Traditional trick you tell the LT "hey Sir/Ma'am your rank is upside down". For some reason this still works lol
When I was scrolling through and saw the unit I though he was a CAG dude for a sec
Damn, i should've gone to your unit. As a cherry butter bar, I got cussed out in the S3 shop for replying to a question with "hooah." I accept 100% fault for that one.
Never seen an officer with a shaving waiver
I think college is more difficult then the military, but being enlisted is more difficult then being an officer.
The vibe
My first day at my command was on a ship in the middle of the ocean at the very beginning of a 9 month deployment 💀
That’s why I went warrant 😂
*someone applies to the air force*
