POV: Travel to Hyde Memorial State Park in Santa Fe, NM

If you ever feel like you’re losing all hope after spending three sleepless nights studying for calculus, which you still don’t understand, there is no better salvation than spending a night in one of Hyde State Park’s yurts! Located in the heart of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains near Santa Fe, the forest of pines provides the perfect escape for a Lobo in need. Each of the three yurts that the park offers comes equipped with six beds, a wood burning stove, and a glass dome ceiling that’s made for stargazing. You may be thinking, stars are fun and all but what can I do during the day? Worry not! There are a number of scenic trails that can be accessed directly from the yurts themselves, and if you don’t mind a short drive, just up the road is the Aspen Vista Trail which never fails to deliver some of the best sunsets in the state.
