One of the best tutorials ever! Just what I needed when I needed in less than 16 minutes. Hurrah! One thing to note is that the snap-on cover for the pi itself is not compatible with the new pi 3 b+. This pi has 4 new pins that are offset from the main GPIO pins. For the snap-on case to work, you either need to break off the pins (sacrilege!) or dremel away enough plastic to clear the pins. This leaves the hinge for this snap-on section very fragile, so care must be taken to dremel the bare minimum to make it work.
Did you have power issues (the lightning symbol on the top right corner)? I build one of this at work and was on low voltage with the split Micro-USB cable and the original Raspberry Pi power supply.
I wish you had more content. I have a question, do you think the ribbon cable would reach the Pi if I install the screen upside down? Or could I install it right. And just go into the settings and flip the screen upside down.
Yes, i have one and its portable with a battery from amazon Kuman Lithium Battery Pack Expansion Board Power Supply with Switch + Micro USB Cable for Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, Pi 2 Model B & Pi 1 Model B+ A+ A KY www.amazon.com/dp/B06VT2Y59H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_sLklfnPRwHSWs
Andrew Knight awesome thanks. I just used a cell phone battery pack as I seen a few use here on CZcams and seems to work perfect with my Pi 3 and 3.5" touchscreen
Yes you can I am using a Zendure and that works great and for hours.. www.amazon.com/Power-Delivery-Portable-Charger-Ultra-Durable/dp/B075Q6XG76/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1527383004&sr=8-2&keywords=zendure&dpID=51N8Id0UpBL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
i bought one of these off a guy on Fb marketplace and was wondering if its really a touch screen & how to use that feature and if it can be used with a 3d printer as well.
Yes, though that snap cover I believe gets in the way, instead since the pi is sitting on 4 mount points you can use 4 female to male mounting screws to secure the pi down to the board, and then attach and secure your selected hat to the pi. They also make back covers for the case, including a rather deep one that will accommodate having a hat on the pi.
You know I just saw this case and was wondering how it all looked, and your video helped me make the decision to pull the trigger on it. Thanks!

This was a spot on vid! I have the exact same hardware and this was very helpful. Thank You.
Thank you. That was a really nice, well paced video. Very helpful.
Very good video, hello from sinaloa mexico
would you recommend using the lcd screen protector they make for the 7" screen or will it not fit right on this set up? Thanks
the screen protector fits, but is not required unless you are planning to use a stylus or travel with the device.
Páginas en donde hicistes las compras? y de que tamaño es la pantalla?

The yellow lightning bolt shown up when you have low voltage typically when using a power bank, a power adapter should help.
thank you so much .

Wonder if you can make this portable with a battery?

Yes it does work with a power bank, might show the yellow lightning if the volts are low, but definitely works.
Great tip that the rear door does not close with the screw's in place - if you try to force it with the screws in - you will break your Pi
How is this done with the lego piece attached camera?
Sorry not sure what you mean.
where i can buy that case?
i bought one of these off a guy on Fb marketplace and was wondering if its really a touch screen & how to use that feature and if it can be used with a 3d printer as well.

Hi - This Touch Case can hold Raspberry Pi 4 ? As the form factor is the same - Right ?
No it won't, the back usb setup and powerport sockets are different..
why not power the PI from the display?
You can but the output voltage is not sufficient..
Can you put a hat on the pi to add a board
Yes, though that snap cover I believe gets in the way, instead since the pi is sitting on 4 mount points you can use 4 female to male mounting screws to secure the pi down to the board, and then attach and secure your selected hat to the pi. From where do you buy it and for how many prise
Most of the stuff you can get from Fry's US , or Amazon.
