Why are kreg pocket hole screws required?

If you are using pocket hole jig you want to use pocket hole screw because they stop on the “ledge” put in by the pocket hole drill bit. He has an entire video on pocket holes. My Kreg 520 pro is on the way from Amazon and should arrive today.

You don't have to use Kreg, there are other companies that make pocket screws.
