The file they used didn't have shunjinkos fatalities unlocked. You have to get his stuff in the kyrpt
If I remember correctly, you had to find hidden items in Konquest mode to unlock most of Shujinko's moves.

Man, watching these makes me realize that the YoVideogames crew's standards for fatals are reeeeeally high, sometimes unreasonably high.
And sometimes they'll give one Fatal a 6, but then another character who does almost the same thing a 10.
There's most definitely a lot of character bias.

I remember when I was young, we had MK: Deception on PS2. I got into a match against Kobra, and he performed his Hara-Kiri. Seeing a dude tear his own heart out at the age of about seven can fucking SCAR a person, man...and no, don't ask why I was playing MK: Deception at that age. I didn't know it was like that at the time.

The animation looked weird, though.
Instead of the abdomen, I almost thought Kenshi was going for his penis, only he stopped after a little cut.
The idea was amazing, but they could've done better with the animation.
What baffles me is the missed opportunity for him to use use telekinesis as the person who chops off his head. Cause there was the belly cutting with a short sword, but if then had somebody else around they'd have a dude chop off the head to end the suffering.

@@Underworlder5 @BlueCanine Agreed, having Kenshi gut himself with a shorter blade then using TK to slice off his own head would have been better but they had so much trouble animating what they did do I really don't want to see how badly they could have messed up the a more elaborate death.
Deception was definitely a huge step up from DA.

Hara-Kiris were an amazing idea. It should have been used more often in mk games. Overall, I adore fatalities from Shao Kahn, Mileena, Jade, Kabal, Ashrah, Kenshi, Ermac, Liu Kang.

I think if they brought it back, there'd need to be a restriction to make them rarer and less annoying. Like, the losing player got one flawless victory and barely lost the two other rounds. Thus, the loser earns the right to deny the other player the satisfaction.

In Japan, Hara kiri (or it’s other name, seppuku) is reserved to samurais that want to restore their honor for their families or with himself.
Out of all of the characters that do Hara Kiris to themselves, Kenshi is the only one that actually do the Hara Kiri. Although it’s weird that they have it look like he’s cutting himself on his hips when he supposed to cut above the belly button.
