Me (GSTAR321) doing a live commentary and playthrough of Mortal Kombat : Deception's Arcade mode.
Mortal Kombat : Deception is my personal favourite '3D' Mortal Kombat game. Released in 2004, two years after Deadly Alliance, this game delivers in both quality AND quantity.
The game contains an abundance of 'Kontent'. Not only do we have the traditional one-on-one fighting modes; this game also contains 'Chess Kombat' & 'Puzzle Kombat', two excellent new additions.
Also, Konquest mode makes a return from Deadly Alliance, although here it is a full-blown RPG set in the Mortal Kombat universe. It is the main reason why Deception is my favourite '3D' Mortal Kombat game.
A MUST own game for Mortal Kombat fans.

Fun fact: Shujinkou（主人公）means "main character" or "protagonist" in Japanese. So yeah, we literally had a protagonist named "protagonist" in this game.
The name sounds cool though lol, Shukinko.

Sub-Zero's alt happens to be one of them, but all gotta say don't bet on it, just wear what you like.
This is footage of Sub-Zero combos and many others, on a side note Sub-Zero is low tier here, but he's still decent.

I just wished the game now would still have the depth of the backstories of all these characters. And the presentation, music, costumes, atmosphere. It was so great !

Mortal Kombat will never top Mileena and Baraka from this game, these are without a doubt, their best versions.
Tanya and Ermac were also really awesome in this game, a lot better than their versions from X, which were also pretty good.

Recently I've been getting back into it and found your channel again, and I'm nearing the end of my freshman year in college. I remember looking at the back of the disc case of deception and thinking "whos the new old-looking ninja?" When I realized it was Sub-Zero's alt costume I remember cringing.
In Sub-Zero's Alternate costume, he had a Qing Dynasty era hair style. It's what most men had in the ancient Qing Dynasty of China.
deception was the best.......hands down.

Deception was my favourite. My fav character bein sub zero and his design in this game being str8 fire. Both his fatalities were some of the best as well.
