- Enjoyed a really quick overnighter with the boys in our Hot tent. The Woodlander Stove from Winnerwell did a great job. We really appreciate you coming along with us on our short adventure. Check out The awesome folks at Springbar Canvas to get in on the Hot Tent Scene

As a father, It's always a pleasure to see a Dad spend time with his kids! Your boys will remember the good times with you!
Appreciate the kind words my man. There’s nothing better than being out with my boys. It really warms my heart knowing that other fathers are out there teaching their kids the enjoyment of the outdoors.
I am over in Arizona and winter is here soon. The weather getting nice to be outdoor again. Bonding with my son just in our little is so wonderful. Can't wait to fire up my Winnerwell Woodlander stove again.
Great video, hope to see more. Keep it up man.
That sure is a great looking stove brother
Thanks for the video
Eat Carbs Outdoors Thanks for coming along man, I appreciate it brotherman.
These small stoves intrigue me. Very cool! 😎
It’s a lot of fun and it kept us warm! Thanks so much for swinging by and hanging out!
Great video and you got 2 great boys with you.
Thanks for watching! I bring the tent and they bring the good time!
such great fun, looked nice and warm, very cool tent stove and the boys are getting to big, Peace Brother
They’re getting so big and they’re so much fun.
"Hey, we're recording". LOL. I am this >< close to pulling the trigger on this stove! Thanks for the video.
That's an awesome stove man, good egg story as well lol.
Man, it smelled so bad! Thanks for watching. If you hadn’t asked if there was going. To be a video.. I may not have even compiled this. Thanks for keeping me on my toes man!
You seem like an awesome dad. With a good woodstove, the tent looked comfy.
ThNks for those kinds words. It really means a lot to me.
great channel 👍 and nice videos
You’re a great father! Keep up the vids!
I really appreciate that.
Hope to see ya doing more cooking on the stove 👍
That's a great stove. I've got the same one. FYI, the rake that came with it is used to pull the coals towards the front door before refilling with wood. I really like the optional storage bag for the stove that winnerwell sells. I also want to get the oven option.
Thanks for the Advice Jay, it works really well to help break up wood and make nice coal bed for overnight slow burning. They do have a good looking carrying bag. ( beats the box, lol) I’ve looked at the oven as well. For my tent setup I’d have to get the folding stovetop oven. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it.
that's a sweet stove!
Thanks man!
Fantastic ! I purchased a Luxe tent am now am looking at these stoves, I m thinking of the small version of the Woodlander. Can’t believe I missed this video man ! Thanks !
Thanks man! I’m really impressed with the quality of the tent. You’re going to love it I really look forward to seeing you with it in the woods
@@Adventure_Coffey You betcha ! Have a great weekend !
Time to get something more badass tent like POLISH LAVVU for solo or 1 week adventure. I love the new stove...and by saying love..I'm jealous. 😂👌🏼 awesome REV and I hope to see more before spring hits us all.
Heck yeah! There will be slot more hot tenting before the spring is upon us. Our springs are usually cold and wet for a while, so it’ll get more use man
Super stove !
It sure did a super job. Not a single chill all night!
I just purchased the Winnerwell Nomad stove. Only used it for a few hours in my hot tent on a cold afternoon. Haven't stayed overnight yet. But I can't wait to camp with that stove.
I’m super excited for you man! Can’t wait to hear about some of your adventures!
Hey were recording! ....oh! Lol great stove Shane, I just ordered the Nomad medium, it’ll be here tomorrow, going to set it up with my Lavvu, looking forward to using it. Your looked super efficient! Cheers👍🏼🍺
Hey sure is a really wonderful little stove, I am overjoyed with the efficiency of overnight burns with it. Have some people may know the hardest part about hot tent camping is staying warm in the deep cold night. No issues at all
Awesome video
Thanks a lot!
@@Adventure_Coffey my pleasure
Last year I was "this > < close to pulling the trigger" on purchasing this stove. Several days ago I pulled the Trigger. My Large Woodlander should arrive in the next few days. Take care.
You’re going to have such a great time!!
This setup looks fantastic. Thanks for the video. What kind of kettle is that?
Jeez im glad that egg didnt break in your van. Awesome video
Me too!!! Lol
Hey! I’ve seen a couple of your videos with that tent and was wondering does it let in cold drafts from the windows/vents?
Nope. They’re all overhead we stay super snug man. The only issue we had was the 30mph wind shaking the wet screens at us. Lol. Best 50 bucks I’ve ever spent
Good parenting FTW.
Means a lot to me
Cute coyotes though lol
개인적으로 지스토브보다 더 이쁜것같아요
잘보고가요^^/
Question why did you decide to not string a rain fly between you and your buddy’s tent ? Would it not be watertight between the two tents ?
Hey Shane, Joe Shanks here. Your kids look so young here :-) I ordered a hot tent and inner today. About to put in the order for this very stove! Small world I suppose :-)
Hey man, Thanks!! You are going to love the stove. I just got done using it this last weekend. Thanks for commenting my man
@@Adventure_Coffey I bet I will!
Great view!
What's the radius of heat coming from this when it is going full strength?
Thinking about using this under a covered patio. Would this work well to heat a group of people in a circle of chairs?
Should be fine! Unless it’s windy. Most stoves aren’t going to help with that.
Missing vids like these.
Hey Thanks! There will be a lot more. This is going to be the route if my channel from here on out. Just having a good time.
"organized chaos" - story of my life
Ain’t it the truth!
So cute im from malaysian..
Thank you so much!!
Do you have the link to your tent?
Looking for a stove to replace my old Danchell. How's the warping with winnerwell products? An issue I ran into is my current stove is really bent, and I think it's about to start leaking some gas into my tipi.
Hey thanks for stopping by. After camping with this stove now for 3 seasons I can tell you, I have had no warping at all. It’s still and solid as the day I brought it home.
Whats the tent you are using? And how does it hold up in bad weather like constant rain and cold weather? Awesome video
I appreciate the nice comment! The tent i am using is the modified Tipi (teepee) tent from Ozark Trail, I’ve water proofer it once and I’ve had no leaks.. we’ve beat the crap out of it. As far as tents go.. it’s been the best 50 bucks I’ve ever spent. I’ll be getting it ready here real soon for the fall and I’ll show some more mods that I’ve done to it.
Shane Coffey Outdoors thats awesome thanks for the reply definitely going to pick one up and give it a try did you have to add the stove jack or does it come equipped, will keep an eye out for your new video of it. Keep up the good work
Looking at buying this stove. How long does it take to burn a full load of wood?
How many times did you reload during the night?
Great video. Thanks
I sent a reply and now.. it’s not there.
It runs on 4-5 hour intervals for loading once you have a nice coal bed and the dampers almost closed. If everything is wide open.. you’ll feed every hour.
@@Adventure_Coffey thanks for the reply. 4 hours dampers closed is good. Load once during night. I will purchase now.
Do you think this would heat a insulated 8X12 box trailer
I sure do, as long as you have a nice stove jack and you have slides to where you can ventilate. Ventilation is always a nice precaution to have. You would have zero issues keeping warm though
What do you put behind your stove? What was it? Aluminum?
It's a large galvanized Steele shield.
@@Adventure_Coffey thank you I just bought those stove and arriving this Tuesday.
What made you choose this model vs. the Nomad?
No main reason. It was just different and I loved the height of this so we could warms a fews pairs of gloves under it or boots since J have kiddos. The nomad is more squat. I was thinking about picking up a nomad and a solo set up. Just to play around with. I really love this stove though.
Hey Shane I asked this question on our Facebook stove aholics awhile back on that exact camp stove idea how is it for stability with the three leg as opposed to the foreleg have been looking at tent stoves for quite some time and I missed out on a for dog stove option for the steel you're more than welcome to respond on our stove a holic's page under molon labe or here any input would be great
boy named sue sorry man, I didn’t get back to ya! So far the 3 legs seem to be doing a rest job. They have a nice long rake on them that seems to balance almost like a nice Tripod except they’re branched our and it doesn’t seem top heavy at all. This was just really a first burn.. I’ll be posting another video on it this week with more detail. This is good though, it’s giving me a lot of insight on what people are curious about.
@@Adventure_Coffey appreciate the fast response yeah that's awesome looks like a great camp stove pretty well-built looks like a kept you and the boys pretty warm at night as well
I nave 4 kids what hot tent would you suggest? What are you using?
I’m using the Ozark trail Tipi tent. I transformed it into a hot tent. When it comes to tents. You have to figure their math is all wrong, lol. A 2 person tent is really 1 person with their gear or a little elbow room. Our tent is a 7 person, once we Put the stove in it and our stuff, it’s barely a 3 person. If you’re wanting to take all the kiddos. I’d suggest something like the Luxe Megahorn XL. It’s a bit pricey though. luxe-hiking-gear.com/products/megahorn-xl-tipi-8p-hot-tent-stove-jack
If your a handle person pick up a stove jack off of eBay from bear paw outfitters and add you’re stove to any tent you think will fit your needs. 🤷♂️sorry man, that’s all I got. Lol
Shane Coffey Outdoors thanks, I do a lot of ultra light hiking so I’m familiar with the tent size dilemma ! LOL my brother and I have done a bunch of winter camping without a stove and I wanted to move into the hot tent scene. I guess I was foolishly looking for a magic wand! Maybe bunk beds?! LOL
I watched hoping that you would show how that round insert on the top of the stove worked. :-(
Ah! Ill show you! I’ll make it a point I’m my next video.
Is it safe with only three legs it won’t tip over?
The legs have a pretty long rake on them. It’s seems extremely sturdy. I did a lot of boiling and cooking on it at the same time with 3 pots at once. No problems that I see, so far.
I got the woodlander medium and if you look at the base of the legs, each with a hole. You could drive in tent stake to secure it further.
3 legs are much more stable on uneven ground than 4.
Gimmee a break. You have a streetlight and a house where you're camping. Do you use the indoor bathroom then? Hahahahaha. I have the same stove and a wall tent too! I like the quality, the weight, and it fits on a pack pannier so I can pack in on my mule and not be ridiculously heavy.
Lol. This is a state park. I had to watch this video to remember where we were. We were actually over at the RV camping side of this park. That building in the background is the parks clubhouse. It’s not opened during the winter and neither are the bathrooms. 🤷♂️ I remember they closed off the tent sites that winter and we couldn’t get through. We still camp at this state park, we just have more permission to camp elsewhere now. Thanks for watching and giving me crap.
why cant they make the side shelves parallel to the stove top ?
Hmmm, I don’t know. It seems to do the trick for me. Maybe, you should design me a better one. I know you’re capable 😉
@@Adventure_Coffey with out a doubt, but I’m a retired machinist, and enjoy my laid back lifestyle now ;)
Doesn't look like that top plate fits tight I could see the fire around the edges.
I've had zero issues with smoke leakage, it just goes straight up the pipe
E più bella la woodlander con doppia view vetrate laterali oltre alla view frontale. Per 4 soldi in più potevi comprarla.
First burn in a tent is a mistake haas. Shit stinks
Yeah. I know that now. Lol a few years back... it was a learning curve. 🤷♂️
