If i'm being honest, I use to enjoy listening to him. But i've been thinking a lot recently about why that might have been, when he was angry I didn't enjoy it and I feel like that was the same for everyone. There are many many comments on some of his videos saying that he's way more enjoyable when he's in a good mood. Perhaps me and other people found him interesting to almost study or observe without knowing why. He appeared knowledgeable and when you compare him to some other smite youtubers like Weak3n, who is very openly vain and using his own voice packs and making small dick moves like buying expensive cars and shoes, I could respect aspects of Dmbrandon which didn't pay attention to dumb shit to appear great (as he always said don't watch me and stuff) and the I'm being honest 24/7 attitude and I will tell you exactly what I wanna say, even though at times it became very very appauling. (Note I find his tesla bragging funny as hell don't get me wrong)
I love how he always acts like if you expect something to happen, without wards. That you're instantly cheating. Have you ever heard of tracking/predicting an enemies movement? If you play league, you can easily tell where and what time the jungler will be somewhere just based off their start. This applies in Smite as well.
@@0riginalFIR3 to be fair to DM, that achilles was hella sus especially when he was about to get ganked, there was no vision on DMs jungler and as soon as DM says "you can gank" that achilles turns and runs for no reason on his part. he shouldnt have been aware of the jungler. of course there's a slight chance that he thought he was overextended, but the solo lane is small so there's not much room to overextend in lane unless you're proxying waves. he also seemed to have done it multiple times even when he wasnt far up lane and was closer to tower. the second DM mentions ganking, their achilles would run to tower immediately. there's no reason for him to do that unless he knows something he shouldnt (in this case, the jungler being around the corner while achilles has no wards present)
I played smite for like 5-6 years so my tracking on enemies movement is pretty keen but at the same time . The solo turned and looked at jungle as soon as dm said something about it. Definitely suspect

It's amazing how he bases every single interaction on items, numbers and assumptions concealed as facts. At 0:11 DM states "cause he definitely has not build wards yet", as if him saying it makes it so. His world bursts when he's 5 minions down, because ins his world skills accounts for NOTHING (unless he's winning). It's all about numbers he can manipulate. His team mates attempt to weirdly mimic this is just as infuriating, as it only serves to give credence to his "hot takes" (for all the wrong reasons). They try to focus on hard facts like 0:20 "If we spam our ults vs. their ults we win". What does that even mean? Does no one account for player skills, timing or synergy?
I've partied with that medusa pretty heavy during season 4/early 5 before he became part of the DM brandon cult. He's was usually a good guy and a great player but he completely shut me off once he became buddy buddy with DM. Crazy how much you change to be "friends" with a streamer.
The number game matters but only in certain instances and to certain extremes. The 5 creep down only matters at level 4-5 especially in the solo, dm’s problem is he truly believes if you have numbers advantages in any way you should win. Player skill doesn’t matter to him because he believes a plat player is the same skill as a pro it’s just their choice they make are more impactful. This is despite the fact he complains about players with major skill gaps between Him and trash cans, pigs, monkeys, or wasted life as he like to call them. As for ganks and predicting his movement it’s actually really easy dm is predictable but he did have a plague of stream snipers go after him so he had a fair reason to “assume”or blame. Black and white is all dm’s view is there’s no I’ll out play or maybe this isn’t that wrong, taking Janus with spear of the magus for example while I don’t think it’s that great he could have bought it more for the cost and team effect dropping an enemy through a portal and hitting the 2 for extra value, dm just views that as wrong even though it could work or he’s just trying something.

Some gods are only good in the early to mid game while others are really good scaling into the late game, that’s the general value of NA vs EU. NA values pressure team comps similar to what South Korea did in league, while EU focus on lategame/ counter strategies. To say a NA players like pbm or barraccudda are bad is just wrong. EU has really talented individuals that have developed pro comps and metas over the years he’ll deathwalker did that shit like 3 times, some of which are based off pressure. NA went a long time without winning worlds and snowballing was at some of its worst throughout those years. To say hirez has just ignored or slept on EU is wrong, the snow ball game is no longer hey I got 1 kill or i stole one camp and got my own so you can’t fight me. It’s generally happens with the ability to get a few kills on a god that hits the spike early vs a god that was already bad on an equal playing field who is waiting to hit the late game to win. MOBA’s are built generally around the idea of early strength vs late strength when balancing a character.

Yeah. There was an entire meta revolving around Guardians (primarily late game guardians) in the solo lane with Guardian's Blessing. Sobek, Terra, and Xing Tian were the 'best solo laners' in that meta. It's amazing how he bases every single interaction on items, numbers and assumptions concealed as facts. At 0:11 DM states "cause he definitely has not build wards yet", as if him saying it makes it so. His world bursts when he's 5 minions down, because ins his world skills accounts for NOTHING (unless he's winning). It's all about numbers he can manipulate.
His team mates attempt to weirdly mimic this is just as infuriating, as it only serves to give credence to his "hot takes" (for all the wrong reasons). They try to focus on hard facts like 0:20 "If we spam our ults vs. their ults we win". What does that even mean? Does no one account for player skills, timing or synergy?
I've partied with that medusa pretty heavy during season 4/early 5 before he became part of the DM brandon cult. He's was usually a good guy and a great player but he completely shut me off once he became buddy buddy with DM. Crazy how much you change to be "friends" with a streamer.
The number game matters but only in certain instances and to certain extremes. The 5 creep down only matters at level 4-5 especially in the solo, dm’s problem is he truly believes if you have numbers advantages in any way you should win. Player skill doesn’t matter to him because he believes a plat player is the same skill as a pro it’s just their choice they make are more impactful. This is despite the fact he complains about players with major skill gaps between Him and trash cans, pigs, monkeys, or wasted life as he like to call them. As for ganks and predicting his movement it’s actually really easy dm is predictable but he did have a plague of stream snipers go after him so he had a fair reason to “assume”or blame. Black and white is all dm’s view is there’s no I’ll out play or maybe this isn’t that wrong, taking Janus with spear of the magus for example while I don’t think it’s that great he could have bought it more for the cost and team effect dropping an enemy through a portal and hitting the 2 for extra value, dm just views that as wrong even though it could work or he’s just trying something.

Some gods are only good in the early to mid game while others are really good scaling into the late game, that’s the general value of NA vs EU. NA values pressure team comps similar to what South Korea did in league, while EU focus on lategame/ counter strategies. To say a NA players like pbm or barraccudda are bad is just wrong. EU has really talented individuals that have developed pro comps and metas over the years he’ll deathwalker did that shit like 3 times, some of which are based off pressure. NA went a long time without winning worlds and snowballing was at some of its worst throughout those years. To say hirez has just ignored or slept on EU is wrong, the snow ball game is no longer hey I got 1 kill or i stole one camp and got my own so you can’t fight me. It’s generally happens with the ability to get a few kills on a god that hits the spike early vs a god that was already bad on an equal playing field who is waiting to hit the late game to win. MOBA’s are built generally around the idea of early strength vs late strength when balancing a character.

Like how he complains of the Janus on his team not stopping the Enemy Janus from rotating, where, thats literally what Janus is made to do, Janus can and will rotate when he sees the opportunity, Janus cant box in his lane well, he gets out pressured by other Mid Laners like Persephone, Merlin, Raijin and almost everybody else, he relies on the global rotation, so he gives his other lanes a lead, so they can help him win his lane, its how Janus is meant to be played in midlane and in almost every other lane, you aren't stopping a Janus with his ult from rotating, it just isn't happening

Kinda wild, kinda really fun to watch

Yeah. There was an entire meta revolving around Guardians (primarily late game guardians) in the solo lane with Guardian's Blessing. Sobek, Terra, and Xing Tian were the 'best solo laners' in that meta.
I don't remember the exact patch(es) from which this meta originated, but I do know that this meta happened before the gold chalice was introduced.

Dude tries to flame his Janus for building Spear of the Magus, but he has guardians blessing as a solo laner, shell as his second relic (blink or beads would've been vastly better choices), and only 20% CDR in his OWN build with a 12 second cooldown on his jump.... yea bro. You TOTALLY showed him. Sad that he somehow convinced people he was not only a good player, but a good caster too. Trash in every single regard.
At that time guardians blessing was op and used a lot in solo bc it didn't require a god next to you to get the increased gold. You would see most ppl playing guardians on solo due to this item alone it was pretty busted.

That was when after hitting an ability it reduced protections stacking up to 4 times. His one plus two wouldn't make good use of it at such a high cooldown.
