what Smite community did to DM Brandon is an absolute insult and Hirez still owe him unban and apology. literally started by Olympains and girl who blackmailed used before with her nudes. and u all though u are fighting against harassment. u all getting played. and people to this day still think he was banned because he was toxic ingame. because they will never admit they wronged the guy and used him as ascapegoat. I cant expect more from Hirez when they have 0 clue how to handle their games and their game communities.
@@Dualities You have no clue what you’re talking about and have absolutely no way to back up what you’re saying. Smitten was the first to come forward, but she was not the only one. There were multiple, highly detailed accusations and multiple of his colleagues, most notably F., who confirmed that the right call was made. DMBrandon does not deserve sympathy and he is most certainly not a victim. He’s a predator. Nobody owes him shit and the only people being played are people who are still under his spell, apparently like you. And for that, I do have sympathy for you and hope you’re able to see the light soon.

I’d argue it was even more important since it was a smaller map with less farm, so the jungle would rotate and gank more often

The chat at 39:35 piqued my interest, because I think that's dmbrandon's manipulation at its core. He dragged this guy into his discord just to berate him for 30 minutes for how he missed a backfire and an ult which he calls mentoring, called him "the worst player" he's ever seen in his life, then proceeds to get dominated by him in lane in the next game (at a time where his pick was regarded as one of the strongest releases of all time) and ends on a much worse score.
Then, he turns it around by still assuming the mentor role, actually praises Tony for playing well, making it seem like dm now respects him and acknowledges his progress and in doing so, one might feel really accomplished by gaining praise from such a strict teacher. Note that dm himself of course doesn't openly reflect on himself, admits no mistake, let alone apologizes. And on top of that, he's in the clear now because apparently his behaviour was just superficial and he proved to be actually really positive and helpful. Then lets him go with another tip to improve his gameplay, which is... You gotta hit more abilities. Thanks, dm.
So despite all the bad that came from him being a top Smite content creator, he ultimately had to face the consequences for exhibiting this blatant narcissistic behaviour and even though I suspect he didn't learn anything from it, perhaps we can learn to watch out for these devious and manipulative patterns in real life when they're a little more subtle. Yeah, so glad he's gone now.
