Mullet is very simple to cut yourself because you don't have to struggle with the hair on the back much haha.
I have a mullet for two years already and it's an amazing hairstyle. I cut it myself and experiment with length and styles.
I've definitely seen this new mullet style around my area quite a bit in the last couple years. For myself I'm very much not a fan, but I've seen the occasional dude that can rock it.
I'm glad I watched this video. I don't know why I assume that with these types of haircuts, the difference between shaved and non-shaved has to be aggressive. As you said, blending the hair from short to long can also be applied here.
The very video ive been looking for. Ive thick coarse curly hair and was thinking of going with this, although a lot more subtle with the sides slighhtly trimmed and the back kept long. Mel Gibson had a beautiful mullet in Lethal Weapon although it wasnt as drastic as this one, i think the best mullets are the ones kept just slightly shorter on the sides.

Mullets are all about the “lettuce”. I have always cut my own by cutting all the way up the sides with a 1 or 0 then running top length with the season. That being said I am almost always wearing a hat or a helmet 🤙

For the longest time fades and that “skin” look on the sides has always bothered me, i just grabbed my sides with 4 fingers laying my hand flat almost like a phone call and everything coming out of my fingers is cut. I like how the sides look kinda like the green hair manekin where you can see the hair almost like a carpet, all flat but its hair… not skin. Looks nice but i probably look like sht to others. My issue is on the back, i think when my hair is dry it might puffen up that area but i want it flat. In referring to the top half of the back. Id like it flat tho but i dont know what to do. My last idea was sheers but i also dont know how it works like where to cut or how much

The mullet is the best men's hairstyle but too many guys are afraid they won't pull it off so they just stick to a boring unremarkable conventional short haircut (or even worse...a buzzcut!).
