very nice reaction, the only thing i am not sure about is if you got rammsteins usual play with words in this one. "Der schwarze Mann" normaly doesnt refer to a black man but to a mystical evil, you could translate it with Boogie-Man but i am not too sure if its quite the same thing. also he plays quite a lot with american things in this video like weapons and cheerleaders. AND yes, the things they were eating had a political uncorrect name here in germany too "n-word kisses" now we call them "foam-dish" or after a brandname that makes them "dickmann" which is quite a german habbit to call things after the brand that invented it or was most popular.

Growing up here in the US we went from trusting strangers, not locking doors to turning people into authorities if they are driving around the hood. I do remember adults talking about Nuclear war as a child and being very scared of that. All in all my childhood was care free I was able to stay out till dark go pretty much where I wanted and not have to check in with my parents. Now people put tracking devices on their kids and everything. I think growing up in the 70s and the 80s was the best time.

The original name for what they were eating in the credits was "Negerkuss", which was then banned in Germany, leading to most people using "Mohrenkopf", which still was complained about by oversensitive people. Nowadays these things have half a dozen different names, like Schaumkuss, Schokokopf, Schaumkopf, Schokoladenkuss, Dubler Köpfe, Köpfli and many more, leading to enough confusion so that most people either use the brand names, or they actually just go back to the old name despite some getting offended by it, which is kinda funny to me.

Here in Brazil we had some stories like that, it was something like "the bag man", he would come for misbehaved children, throw them into a bag and take them away.

A very important detail in the epilogue: you see the band members watching the black woman and her son/brother sitting in the fenced-off area while she's looking at her phone. The camera zooms out of the scene - and you see that the woman actually watches THEM as well on her smartphone. Everybody's monitoring everybody, until Till smashes their TV, thus breaking the vicious cycle, the black and white world crumbles, and the colors return.

French/German guy here, and following this band since their first album.
You asked at the end of the video what Rammstein are eating.
It's called "SchokoKuss" (litteraly "Chocolate Kiss") , but untill the 70's-80's, it got another name....
A bit offensive nowadays I would say.
Wikipedia that, and you'll know what I mean...
You also may see that there are some half eaten in the plate...Surely meaning that it's not the first time they (we?) are "eating" it.

    Just some remarks:
The several times mentioned "Schwarze Mann" ("black man") is known as a child fright figure in the German-speaking area ("Wer hat Angst vorm Schwarzen Mann" = Who does fear the black man). Depending on the region and time, it was understood to mean different beings: a dark shadowy figure or a man dressed in black. As a metaphor, the "bogeyman" reached a "peak" as personalization of evil, savagery, and the unknown in the course of colonization, and in the process also acquired a racist connotation. In this context, I find the consumption of those sweets (German so-called "negro kisses") at the end during the end credits very interesting, which work through this "black man" symbolism.
Also the colors usage is interesting (Black/White/Red representing the Nazi-color Spectrum). I also found it interesting at the end of the credits that when the TV was destroyed, the color came back into the picture.
Further, I noticed that the pie-like plots seen from above correspond to the "political symbol" at the lectern where the singer, wearing a straitjacket, gives his speech. After these borders & plots collapse during the wild shoot-out, the politician, unleashed by the straitjacket to spread his propaganda/fear.
Cheering on the cheerleaders is the equivalent of pitching an idea/product and the dancers are slammed with money to sell the bricks and guns to the landowners.
This Clip has many layers and can be interpreted in many directions. I see there is a statement on xenophobia and populism/media.

No idea if it was mentioned: Red Background, White Circle and Black Swastika - And the whole Video is only Red, White and Black (except at the ending, when they destroyed the Propaganda Maschine aka TV). Maybe a reference to the time where "control by fear" was maximized to perfection.

Hello. It was an absolute pleasure to watch your reaction. You got all the details right on spot. Fantastic.
And yes, here in Germany, we had the same stupid discussion about the name change 🙄. And to this day, unfortunately some still call the chocolate kisses by its old name, thinking they are so controversial. Love the song.
Was wishing, they would use the song as the show opener on their current tour, but they decided to use "Arme der Tristen". Which is great, too. You should definitely check it out. Educatedmarine translated all the songs into english, so you viewers can read along. Check out his site.
Regarding your question, how I was brought up (I'm 46). Fortunately my parents didn't use fear, but I know it's a very common thing to this day here. Nowadays, with all the helicopter/ lawnmower parents, it's taken onto another level. With love from Germany 🤘 😎

React to the official Rammstein video "Radio" please. It's great music and a very entertaining funny video, filmed ingeniously in retro style. It is good to have subtitles or read lyrics (a feminist allegory of communist Germany, where the only "window" to the free world was radio. Radio waves could not be beaten with police batons or arrested)

First, greetings from germany. The black chocolate things with white cream we say "Schaumkuss" oder "Schokokuss". Before a big shit storm this thing was named "Mohrenkopf" or "Negerkuss" for over 50 years. But at this time today every old name will be changed if some people cry. But its okay if they are happy now they have the new names, the important thing is that we can buy them today like for 50 years :-) becaue they are very good

Every person got its own interpretation of Songs from Rammstein. As a German my Interpretation is: this song is about Gouvernement taking control over Media and the Media tells you what you should hear.
Yes the sweets at the end was called “Negerkuss” or “Mohrenkuss” But only 1% of the Germans would couple it with rassism. It’s most the media produced by the government.
I give you an example. :
Following guy is owner of a Restaurant
    czcams.com/video/bYP-zuQnT4E/video.htmlsi=n2i3PLNQz6nuboGf
This guy is happy and the only rassism he felt was by a black skinned guy he said. I could tell you so much more about it.

I consider the media critique more interesting if you think of the cheerleaders as media/industry personalities, Till in the straitjacket the populist and somewhat crazy right-wing politician (Trump, Johnson, ...) and the red cables just the media. And the circles = the societies that are already there and that are facing the borders, watching each other and putting fears and desires into these images.
The relevant story, after all, becomes the interactions of the cheerleaders (media/industry personalities) in each scene, what they specifically do, when they cheer, when they show themselves with which face and what the consequences for society are.
And how long the demagogue is under control (straitjacket) and when he comes to power.
I found the media criticism storyline almost a little heavy-handed, but I don't think I got all the narrative strands right the first time I watched it either.
