- First reaction to a tune and video from Rammsteins new album, aaaand WHAT an introduction xD
Their videos blows my mind. Their lyrics - all the layers they add to their music.
They really have a message with what they do (from what I have seen so far) and the quality of everything I have seen from them blows my mind.
Unique, creepy, intelligent, creative and disturbing.
Hate and love it at the same time! They always make me my head spin!

@@sabina1118never change that. You are about the music and that is the way it should be. Thank you.
The cheerleaders I think has a keyrole to the meaning of the song. They are in all the different dimenisons in this video. They seem to resemble leaders of society feeding citiciens with "angst" to keep them under check. They are bringing Till to the podium, locking in the wires and feeding propaganda and fear out to the world. They are then seen bringing bricks for the characters to build the walls, cameras, rifles even. We see them *cheering* for the characters shooting. They are also the ones smeering the characters with the goo type stuff, which I think is the angst taking over.
Actually, I took the goo-smearing to mean something quite different, notice the "mad demagogue" himself has it too from the start. The goo is white, smeared over their black faces. *They* were the "black man" all along, hiding their darkness to profit from the fear they were spreading.
The epilogue is pretty epic if you catch all these nasty details:
The band watches TV showing two african children fenced off somewhere far far away minding their own business, while the black girl actually watches THEM watching TV on her smartphone, creating a loop of fear and surveillance. but once Till starts smashing the TV, the loop is broken and colors return to both their worlds again.
Craving surveillance is a sign of fear, as fear feeds from irrationality like paranoia. If you get rid of it, fear will eventually loosen its grip on you and (hopefully) fade away.
they're also eating german love biscuits on the sofa
@@frankcavallo They're eating things that according to Wikipedia in English are "Chocolate-coated marshmallow treats". In German however these were until fairly recently called Negroküsse, which literally translates to "nigger kisses". Nowadays they're called Schokoküsse (chocolate kiss). Many other languages had similar names for them.
@@frankcavallo they are eating foam kisses, they where called "Negerküsse" (negrokisses) until very recently. Adds another point to the Boogeyman/black man thing
This return of colors is from the Pleasant Ville movie. It clearly shows that media is putting everything into black and white logic and when the system gets broken all the colors and nuances are back to life.

A typical Rammstein Video: Creepy, Brutal and thoughtful. I love their style. Thank you for reacting to this song. I loved your facial expression ( did i see the fear ? 😁 )
Loool yes you did!! 🤣🔥 Yeah their style is sooo cool!!
All 3 videos from the new album are amazing. Zeit, Zik Zak and Angst such cinematics like creating a movie for each song
the first 30 seconds of this song are just GENIUS !.. cant get enuff of it
"Zeit" hit me in the Core: The Video the Lyrics Till´s Voice
"Zick Zack" is more Fun but .... deep too
"Angst" so powerful
love the hole Album
"Dicke Titten" next Video maybe
I love the way you can see between the lines in the song and in the clip, I see myself in you reacting the first time to the song, I just discovered your channel, but I'm enjoying the reacts!
I love your expressions during the reaction. so natural and up close. makes me feel the same emotions when watching it again. ^^
I love your reaction videos
Exactly !
Absolute art a very powerful song and vid, great reaction thanks 🙏
My pleasure 🔥
Excellent! Seeing them live soon (it’s been on hold for 2 years of pandemic). Like that you added 10 minutes of blank screen so that viewers of a nervous disposition could recover.
Yea can't wait anymore... still 1 1/2 months to go 🤯
im super jealous
Great reaction. As you mentioned there are so many thoughts running through our minds while watching and thinking about it. Rammstein Always choises the best creatives team for their Videos as well that our guys acting intense as the video. Chapeau! As a RammFan we have to find our own interpretation and feel free to communicate this, especially Till will never exactley explain the meaning of a Song, because to me they are trying to explain feelings for what is happening in the world, inside of you. And to be honest our nightsmares in the night are also Like this Videos, bizarre pictures, intense feelings and you try the next day finding words for it. Challenging all the time. 🤟🙌
Rammstein did release many 'Making of' videos, which dove into the back story of the song, for many years; that is a rabbit hole unto itself! You can find them for Amerika, Mann Gegen mann, Mutter, Rosenrot, Sonne, Mein Land and many other vids....but, I believe apart from Radio, I haven't seen a single 'Making of' vid for anything since Deutschland was released :-/ Meanwhile, if anyone had ever told me that Rammstein were allowing themselves to be filmed wearing sweater vests and acting like *typical* suburban dads....I never would have believed them.
one of my all time favorite songs/MVs from them, i just love the heaviness and wish Til screamed like that a bit more often. either way i will never tire of Rammstein and hope that they are not done making albums yet.
i first listened them for learning german, now I just love 'em!!!
Oh girl. Love your reactions
I love that you show your thoughts written, instead of stopping the video to talk.
Ramstein seems to create gripping and original stories for their powerful music each and evert time.
I love your reactions, Greetz from Germany
Brilliant video :) Great Reaction! Really looking forward for the video “Zeit” by Rammstein
Thanks!! That’s coming up 🥰
Masterpiece ❤
My favorite song from this album right now is Lügen
That tune hits!!!
“Dune, dune, duune”
Think this is my favourite song/video, never thought anything would one-up Deutschland but this might actually have done it, it's not as spectacular and flashy but in terms of perfect timing and perfect setup with lyrics and the topic it's supposed to be about is arguably even better (IMO)
absolutely amazing ❤️🇩🇪💜
The piano version of mein hertz brennt (the clip) is surprisingly brilliant and creepy. Recommended to watch. Also shows metal really isn't simple noise
Herz (heart) not Hertz(the frequency of sound)
This song shows how important Flake is for creating the atmosphere and vibes😉. I must say that the entire new album is leaning more on Flake compared to the previous ones. Or should i say he is more noticable on this album? And who doesnt think the intro of Armee der Tristen has some Stranger Things vibes? 🤣
I loved "zeit". It is a masterpiece! This "angst" i like it a lot too, and maybe more "comercial" alike it sounds, and "tv-friendly audience" it looks, but their range is so big, from a simple piano or bigger productions..i like them all! There is also something new to notice, everytime i rewatch their videos, i haven't noticed before.. There are singers who can reach certain notes, musicians who are gifted..and then, (it is just my opinion, for myself..), are some genious people, who have some unique aproach, gifted in life experience, poesy in their blood, and fearless truth telling mantra.. that come together, and release genious stuff, for us to enjoy..not even ads on their videos..i would easily drink a beer with them! ..some of their music, for sure work better on live shows..this must be one of them!
and "tv-friendly audience" it looks🤨
I asked myself how can they top the video of Deutschland and Zeit did it for me.
This is interesting. To understand the song, it’s a good idea to look up the lyrics in your own language. I saw the term ‘black man’. I happen to know that this is a German euphemism for the bogey man. . In other words, it is a fictional entity that German parents - or more specifically, according to the first verse, fathers - use to scare their children into behaving as instructed even when daddy is not around to provide discipline. Fundamentally, what this song is putting forth is that being indoctrinated with such fear in our youth is not a good thing. But why? Simply because since “the Black Man” doesn’t actually exist, what we end up doing is developing the practice of guarding ourselves against threats that aren’t really out there. Well, that’s my interpretation, I’m happy to be corrected. Powerful song, and in typical Rammstein style, there is an agenda. Great reaction.
The black man (schwarzer Mann) likely originally meant the Grim Reaper. But in the video, the term is definitely ambiguous since the subject is xenophobia.
The scene with the lawn mowers is symbolic of the Spießbürgertum (I'm not sure what the correct translation is. Philistinism? Approx. conservative small-towner) where fear and racism are often found hidden. They care about lawn care and sit comfortably in front of the TV eating a candy that had a politically incorrect name, while they lock out refugees with barbed wire because they are afraid of them. And they even arm themselves and build walls. But in the end, fear leads to the collapse of the whole neighborhood and swallows them up.
The smashing of the TV at the end I would interpret as a call to look at the world not only through the screen. Because the best way to fight fear of strangers is to meet them in person.
@@yasminesteinbauer8565 …You’ve said it..ambiguous. I suspect in typical Rammstein style, they leave the interpretation of their lyrics to the listener. Your interpretation is with merit. Maybe though the TV sets etc are red herrings, or maybe they have a definitive significance. Maybe we are both wrong.
@@yasminesteinbauer8565 I would see that even more on politics and the current situation. The cheerleaders are supporters of the various politicians, fear is spread through the media until it eventually escalates and everything collapses. The same thing happened in WWII and in the current conflicts.
"Schwarzer Mann" is of course a pun on racism.
But well summarized, the Rammstein songs naturally have a lot of room to interpret.
The entire phrase is "Who is afraid of the black man".
This was a very common play in my childhood, where one player, the initially designated "black man", stood in the center, and all the others formed a line on one side. Then the "black man" shouted "Who's afraid of the black man?!" to which everyone replied "Not me!" and then tried to run past the "black man" to reach another line on the opposing side. Anyone touched by the "black man" before reaching the other side line was to be the next "black man".
We played this often when I was some 8-10 years of age - early 70's. Girls and boys all together.
We never thought the "black man" anything else but a generic, universal, nondescript "bogey man" kind of thing - a thing to be avoided in the contex of the play, to not get caught.
There was *zero* connotations to e.g. non-white people. "Black man" was simply a metaphor to something that children would run away from. Necessary ingredient of the play.
It's just a precursor of British Bulldog game. There are tons of similarities between the game of Black Man and British Bulldog.

Thanks and welcome! ❤️
Thank you for NOT stopping the video for small comments.
It is the best way to ruin the feel and somtimes the message that the video(not the viewer) has
There are so many reaction videoes that I just quits because of that.
My pleasure. I can’t really enjoy and take the song in if I have to interrupt and talk 🙏🏻😊
I saw Rammstein life, nearly 20 years ago in a football stadium in the Netherlands and with Within Temptation before them. Was of course awesome although I sat in a chair 100 meters from the stage. Just like always: amazing controversial video's.
Greetings from Sweden. What a powerful song first watch for me too alot of thought behind the lyrics and in the making of the video. If you haven't heard or seen it already I can recommend Nightwish - The poet and the pendulum and Nightwish - The greatest show on earth ( live in Tampere Finland ) and last I could recommend Wintersun - Sons of winter and stars ( live rehearsal)
What Nightwish, are you kidding me. The greatest show on Earth, you haven´t been on a Rammstein Concert well Kid. Please take a ride on a Trip to listen at them. And i swear , you may forgott Nightwish..damn syrströmmning are harder than Nightwish Kid.;)
Again, I love your style. Wish we could attend a Gogol Bordello concert together. Feels+insanity. Check them out and tell me if I am wrong.
Omg, last time I listen to dimash and Rammstein 😂 but by Rammstein it's very important to understand the message behind. Most songs are very deep. Thx
Explanation about "black man" and "boogeyman": the lyrics mean both because as a child everyone was scared of the boogeyman and nowadays a few people (especially in Germany since the refugee crisis) are scared of black men who come to their country.
It's like some Americans are scared of Mexicans who cross the border.
Rammstein uses the boogeyman phrases because they're not related to racism just to explain the racism in the minds of those people.
The computers & wires represent social media and how people are loosing theirselfes by moving deeper and deeper into the vortex of such mindsets and the reason for all of that are algorithms who show you even more of such fearful fake informations just to keep you in front of the screen and therefore as a customer of their services.
In the end those slaves of obsession become "believers" who shoot each other until everything breaks apart.
Some easter eggs in the video:
- In the beginning they're lifting their left arms (which from our perspective looks like the right arm which was "the" nazi symbol in the 1940's) while cleaning their front yard to hide their dirty minds
- in the end sequence theyre eating some sweets that were formerly called "negro kiss" (until the 1980's) in Germany
- right after that occurrence, Till smashes the TV and while he does that, the picture changes vom black&white back to color
@@onkelbo7897 On point. The change from black/white to color is a really interesting connotation. It shows that not much has changed about the Angst of western people in the last couple of decades about humans of other skin colour, culture and religion (black/white - before WW2; washed out colours - colour television came shortly after WWII; full colours - represents the present). Media still has a huge impact on how they see the world, which really can poison their mind. For example: If a refugee or non-(insert western nationality here) does something really bad, the news are broadcasting the case for months but the hundreds of violent crimes done by white people are only worth talking a few days. If they are not hushed up completely, which is the standard.
Another interesting detail is the end where you can see the refugees have a smartphone which is pretty much damaged. The reason why Till is destroying the TV is because of a famous German quote in extreme right-wing groups who are saying that refugees doesn't need help if they are rich enough to own a smartphone and that they should go back to their own country - those quotes often include death wishes and other kinds of aggression. Of course this is far from reality, because smartphones are no luxury goods anymore and even if, that wouldn't change the reality about those people needing help when their country became hell. The barbwire around them represents European refugee camps which are more like detention camps robbing those people from their freedom.
No wonder. The so-called refugees brought us the Nigerian Mafia and lots of criminals. This Rammstein song is the real propaganda. They show a woman and a child but most of these people are grown men. They are not refugees, They are immigrants.
I love that David Lynch feeling in the credits ❤️🔥
Rammstein has one of the strongest global fan bases of any artist group; and for them it is all the more accurate to refer to them as artists than 'just' musicians or composers. They're so much more, and a note on one of your thoughts; given the amount of thought and the context that these productions are based around there really isn't any element of "humor" intended. It's a lot of overexaggerating certain aspects to make a point or to continue making the existing point. The guy laying down kissing the gun is kind of a funny image out of context but it does have a very strong meaning behind the exaggerations depicted. I like the format of your thoughts on the screen vs interrupting the video; although I don't mind the occasional stop and talk. I think that's part of a reaction video might help shorten things down a bit but that may be intentional and that's just my opinion on that take it or leave it! >:D
Good reaction! regards from Argentina!
Thanks 🤗🔥
I dont know why this music makes me cry?
In the machine gun passage, the screens are located at the narrowest part of each room (narrowmindedness?), making it the center of their collective walled-in structure (culture?). When they start shooting at the negativity-spewing screens out of fear/madness (forming a LITERAL circular firing squad) they end up destroying the core that sustains their entire existence. Even without the lyrics, the visuals alone are beyond awesome.
If you notice they're actually shooting their neighbors.
The fear makes them monitor others, then it makes them seek a way to defend themselves, but when they see others do the same, fear grows even further making them attack. It just makes a vicious circle.
the cheerleaders reminded me of the video for smells like teen spirit.
Create reaction! Pretty spot on your thought of the video.
Also yes my hair attacks me often too!
Loool 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice outro music at the end of the black screen 👍
The cheerleaders are supposed to represent lobbyists (media, industrial groups, arms industry, security companies, rich and powerful, banks etc.)
who actively support the insane politicians (Till in this role) hand in hand via IT, social media and TV and scare the decent sweater barbecue middle class US rolemodel suburban citizens.
These get primal fears of loss from the cheerleaders by strongly cheering these feelings into the brain.
Of course the lobbyists and rich profiteers get plenty of money for the protection against fear they instill in the people.
In a war and disaster, it is always the sellers of the cause who profit.
Why the "sweater barbecue middle class US rolemodel suburban citizen"???
Looks like the german middle-class-rolemodel
And the cheerleaders turn from "normal" with a friendly-face , to Zombie-faces, like all turn to zombie-faces...cause the 24/7-fear turns everybody from normal to no-brainers(zombies)
The cheerleader moves including the chanting in the beginning and the end are probably referencing the "Haka Dance" done by the Maori, the indigenous people of New Zealand. It is supposed to intimidate your opponent. Rumour has it that Oliver Riedel, the band's bass player, is one of the cheerleaders. But that has not been confirmed yet, AFAIK. The candy which the band eats in the end was called "Negerküsse" "Negro Kisses" back in the day. The name was changed a couple of years ago.
@Henning Schwertfeger here is an additional song to this new album, this came later to a special holiday. I love it.
Rammstein - Dicke Titten

Perfect reaction!!! Like and subscribe!!! Keep going this way.
You say it 🤗👍
I think the lawnmower destroying the tv was symbolic of the past destroying the unnecessary fear, as if there was nothing to be afraid of.
As we see them mowing their lawns when they were together and happy and then when the unnecessary fear of these scary neighbours came in and changed it all, then they use something from the good times to destroy the unnecessary fear and the colour comes into their lives again.
The whole song is a play on xenophobia and the video plays into that and how it's basically caused by yourself.
Love it. Thanks for sharing this!!

(Copy & pasted from other reaction-comment I previously made)
Just some remarks:
The several times mentioned "Schwarze Mann" ("black man") is known as a child fright figure in the German-speaking area ("Wer hat Angst vorm Schwarzen Mann" = Who does fear the black man). Depending on the region and time, it was understood to mean different beings: a dark shadowy figure or a man dressed in black. As a metaphor, the "bogeyman" reached a "peak" as personalization of evil, savagery, and the unknown in the course of colonization, and in the process also acquired a racist connotation. In this context, I find the consumption of those sweets (German so-called "negro kisses") at the end during the end credits very interesting, which work through this "black man" symbolism.
Also the colors usage is interesting (Black/White/Red representing the Nazi-color Spectrum). I also found it interesting at the end of the credits that when the TV was destroyed, the color came back into the picture.
Further, I noticed that the pie-like plots seen from above correspond to the "political symbol" at the lectern where the singer, wearing a straitjacket, gives his speech. After these borders & plots collapse during the wild shoot-out, the politician, unleashed by the straitjacket to spread his propaganda/fear.
Cheering on the cheerleaders is the equivalent of pitching an idea/product and the dancers are slammed with money to sell the bricks and guns to the landowners.
This Clip has many layers and can be interpreted in many directions. I see there is a statement on xenophobia and populism/media
NegroKisses are racism? Leftie nonsense interpretation! Black, white, red are also the colors of the leftie madness "Antifa". A big problem in our time.
I think the ending basically means, we are in the past, being fed a negative, looking at our "fears" being controlled by barb wire and spotlight, whiel they look back at us, already in reality and having up to date tech, meaning their view is up to date and real, whiel we live in a dream of past, make america great again and so on, smashing our TV is to both turn a blind eye, as well as waking up? Idk.. more like freeing ourselves from our fears maybe.. idk if it's good or bad, prob good, cause we would maybe leave things alone, but idk if we should.. maybe >this< unsureness is what it's about?
Crazy Germans continue to take out the brain of the beautiful Sabine.

I was amusing watch this lady's reaction. At first she was not sure about this song. You can actually see the moment she changes her mind about it. She start to Bob her head to be beat around 2:30 Then by 2:45 she's totally in the zone.
how many songs did u listen from Rammstein that u think to know what they mean or want to present?

like yours videos... please make more rammstein reactions
Thanks!! More is coming up!
The lawn mowing and the look of the people is important because it is that every-day-good-upright-german-citizen. It is not about conspiracies or dark web. It is the main stream media that is tackled here and the politicians as fearmongers. I think this is important because many people argue that this is about racism, xenophobia or fake news fringe internet media, instead its the average joe that is targeted by main stream media. They also read Newspaper with the headlines 'Angst'
Like your reaction but I'm worried it will be removed for copyright by being shown the way it is unless CZcams changed their rules?
It is copyrighted - they make the money from the views which is fine by me since it’s their music 😊🌟

Hi.

Pretty sure the lawnmowers just represent suburban middle class, but I could be wrong.
That’s a great input!!!
It’s about the regime like Russian. I live near this Orvel 1984 country… I so sad that people suffer in 21 century.

This Song is about Xenophobia. Stranger fear… good neighbours getting suspicious against each other. And also with all the hate around the web. The „Black Man“ or „Boogy man“ is a good reference to it
About 40 million people are waiting in Africa. Destination Europe, especially Germany. I hope they build big walls, because this immigration would be destructive to any country..
It's a pity you didn't choose a version of the video with subtitles...
The lyrics give a much more serious and critical depth to the times we live in.
I actually understand german so I did not Think about adding lyrics so that all people could see!
