They are the best band with the best music, videos and live shows in the world. You see, I'm from the '60s generation and I'm almost 70. I've seen everything that's exceptional, namely live: Beatles; Stones; U2; Metallica; Yes; Procol Harum; Genesis. Of the Germans, whose rock I greatly admire, I saw live Kraftwerk, Popol Vuh, Tangerine Dream.
But these, the Rammstein, are much better, especially live. Everything, but everything is ecstasy. No more words. I've seen them twice and I would see them a thousand times if i could. It's pure art. In every aspect of art.
It's like David Lynch making a movie. Don't expect anything otherwise you might get disappointed or your expectations just get crushed to pieces. But you definitely get what you need without knowing that it's needed.
The inspiration comes from Tarantino's From Dusk Till Dawn. Much is kept 1:1 in the scenes.

Probably my favourite from the old Rammstein vids When i first saw it I said Dusk till Dawn which is a great movie. Glad you liked it, they couldnt do this the same live.

This video is obviously based on "From Dusk Til Dawn" and so it's hard to replace it with a live performance.
I, beeing a german teenager when this came out, prefer the video/studio version, because the children choir give's the lyrics something special.
If you're not so familiar with our language and you're going more for the show, that's a different thing. But I wouldn't say that the live version is better. It, as I said, different
This came out on Sehnsucht in 94-95, I was 14 years old at the time and these six guys blew my mind. I've been a fan ever since. They're so awesome and I know they won't be around forever, but they're going to leave behind one hell of a discography. I love your reviews of them Sabina, kick ass channel and I hope to see more.

Some of their older videos imitate movies they liked, which is why this one is reminiscent of From Dusk til Dawn. Their later videos are their own little movies.
This and Alter Mann were my go-to favorites from Sehnsucht.
This is my favorite song from them. The Live en Berlin live version is soooooooo freaking good. My favorite concert of theirs

One of my favorite songs from Rammstein
..Funny i saw this, after live in Maddison Square Garden, and the thing with this guys, is the similar production recording.. The whistleing is so rare, tough so cool..! There are musics of them, where i prefer video, like Deutschland, Zeit.. but others, it is 50/50.. others i prefer live.. This one i prefer live show.. I was never a band guy.. some were ok..but this guys, i hear every day a song from them.. there is a strange connection with them.. And i have to say this: Till is, in my perspective, one of those rare genious! Like a woman, helps a guy, to not go "too crrazy", Rammstein holds Till a bit, in a good way! Time to time, he goes experimenting, not so "comercial" path, but i like it! Maybe, just maybe, you should put his channel on reactions, time to time.. there is a piano version live on middle stage of the Olympia Stadium 🏟 Berlin and 3 three rubber boats to the main stage. A must have.

-- Secondly: yes, From Dust to Dawn ;-)) Rammstein are big fans of David Lynch and I think are even personally acquainted.
-- The MV was shot in a club in the port of Hamburg, Germany.
-- The angel kids sit in a cage, because this is what the song is about: the life of an Engel, a former good and obedient human, is lonely, isolated, full of fear and not at all glamorous.
-- Fun fact: There is a making-of video and they tell that a big problem were the contact lenses of the snake woman which permanently got out of place -))
-- you see: a lot of reasons to prefer the MV to the live version ;-))

I really appreciate how you add your thoughts about the video you’re reacting to in the form of on-screen text. I wish everyone who reacts to music videos/live performances did this. Pretty much everyone does this that I’ve seen. They will pause the video so frequently to give their thoughts, that it becomes frustrating to watch the video. It’s like "watch the entire video, then give your thoughts". Or do what you do and put your thoughts on the screen in the form of texts.
I think pausing the video so frequently ruins the video. It ruins the flow of the video.

The live performances Of Rammstein are incredibles! But If you react to videoclips, Rammstein have others incredibles ones tio and I recomend Rosenrot, Amerika and Keine Lust
Rammstein was such a powerhouse in the 90's. They still are, but back then they really stood out. Something out of Germany that felt so "Dangerous" hadn't been seen on the international scene. It almost felt a little wrong to listen to them. I mean, the are not neo-nazis or anything, they just invoke some of the same image. On purpose I think. Other song from this era include Sonne and Du Hast.
I Can just imagine!! They have for sure paved the way for a new genre!!
I never associated them with nazism, I've always associated them with what they are, an Industrial Metal band, and what they portrait, the Industrial Music fashion style. But then again, I was into Industrial since the mid 80's, so their appearance was not surprising nor "shocking" to me. 🙂

A seducing whistling, soft & smart. But the rest hard as hell. I may stand corrected but this seems to be early Rammstein…judging by the way the band members look, I’d say mid/late nineties. This band have developed over the years into a quality industrial metal outfit who have few peers. Judging by the effects in the video, I can imagine this being a barnstormer when played live. Great reaction Sabina..you look as though you are sold into the Rammstein fan club.

This video is shocking and strange, maybe a little unsettling but for some reason, you just can not look away. Like everything Rammstein does fun but dangerous.
This is from their first album, which is entitled "Herzelied", which is the German word for the word Heartbreak, in the English Language.
This album came out in 1994.
Their other albums are as follows-
2:Sehnsucht, which means Longing in the English Language. This album, which was released in 1997, is the only Rammstein Album to ever reach Platinum status here in the United States, which happened in 1999.
3: Mutter, which is the German word for Mother in the English Language, released in 2001.
4:Reise, Reise, which, translated to English, means Journey, Journey, or Travel, Travel, was released in 2004.
5:Rosenrot, which means Rose Red, was released in 2005.
6:Liebe Ist Fur Alle Dah, which means Love is for every one, was released in 2009.
7:Their Album, Untitled, was released in 2019.
8:Their latest album, entitled Zeit, was released earlier this year, in 2022.
Through it all, they have released some absolutely stunning material. My favorite song from them is entitled "Ohne Dich", which came from their Reise, Reise Album, from back in 2004. Another favorite song of mine, from that same Album, is entitled "Mein Tiel", which means "My part" in the English Language. It's their telling of the story of Armin Meiwes. He had invited a man home with him, but, because of a very sadistic agreement between the two, they had sex with each other, and then Armin killed him, and ate parts of his body, which lasted for something like 8-9 months. I don't relish the fact that Armin did this horrific deed. I'm actually glad that he got caught, and I love the way that Rammstein portrayed the story their way, as they heard that it happened.
Actually Engel is from their 2nd Album, Sehnsucht. Not from Herzeleid.
