    Just a simple Cocktail Bun is not easy!
    As the there are many ingredients and steps, I mentioned which part we are doing on the right top corner.
    Hope you can understand well!
    It is first time of Mr. Kim having this bun. He love it! LOL

      This recipe is perfect every time, soft, chewy and beautiful rise. I brushed buns with honey water right out of the oven for a shine. Thank you for the recipe!

    沒想到一個小小的雞尾包竟然不簡單!

    Made these 2 days ago and they are already all gone! Great recipe, but I changed a couple of things:
    I changed the water to warm milk in the dough and the oil to butter.
    I changed the oil to butter in the filling and changed it to 40g.
    In the water roux for the dough, i added milk and water, not just water. I changed to 40g water, 60g milk.
    These changes made the buns just that tiny bit more delicious and rich! All in all, I definitely recommend you make these!

      How is the filling? The most recent comment said it wasn't enough paste to bread. What did u think? Enough or should we do x1.5. Thanks

      Hansen Anthony I thought the filling to bun ratio was okay, however I did change the oil to butter and made it 40g. I looked at other recipes and the butter was around 1/2 the amount of coconut, so that’s what I did. Maybe when you use the oil, it absorbs into the dough?? Hope this is helpful!

      You said you added both milk and water instead of just 70g water, but you added 40g water and 60g milk, wouldn't that be way too much for the recipe?

      Veronica Chiu I switched the water in the *roux* to water and milk. The original amount was 100g so it is was the right amount. Hope this helps!

    看留言看出人格,人家出食譜你可以作參考,不能滿足每個人的要求吧?就算一家人也有不同喜,
    油鹽糖份量可以因自己喜好增減,或者繞路找一個適合自己的。
    不食就不食,人家也沒說要給你吃!有本事說自己出個食譜,無需留在此留言暴露自己人格有多差!不知所謂!
    知不知道外面買的除了多糖多鹽還有很多化學物?

      若留待次日麵團可能會過度發酵,味道因而有所改變。

    80g coconut flakes seem too much and the filling is too dry after baking. 60g might be good.

      For me, once you can stretch the dough, then its ready

    80g 椰絲是否太多?一隻蛋加油唔夠,好乾,加多隻蛋同12g油都唔惦,最後浪費左啲包。

    I followed this recipe and method down to every last detail, they didn’t turn out the same. The filling was very different, no yellow paste only coconut as if the bread absorbed the paste. There also isn’t enough paste for 8 buns. I like this video but the the result is a bit disappointing.

    買個面包機就唔使搓得咁辛苦,唔使買貴㗎,幾佰蚊都買到只係要黎第一次搓粉同埋發酵

      其實以實用性來講, 廚師機更實用~ 面包機性能太單一了,常做甜點的話廚師機比較適合
      只是我現在住韓國, 不想買太多東西到時候要帶回香港XD
      香港的話我是有在用廚師機~

      It is "cocktail", not chicken tail. :D Lets think about cocktail drink, it is a mix of few things. So, it has nothing to do with chicken. :P
