    I worked here. The geese are everywhere. It's their park, we just borrow it.
    Also, there's only one train.
    That building by Spinsanity houses a dark maze attraction that's only open during Fright Fest.
    Lastly, I would like to point out that Screaming Eagle, because of it's queue and exit, is not ADA compatible (there are steps when exiting and steps when getting to the boarding platform).
    It also does not allow Flash Pass boarding.

    In the Loop: some info for you... Screamin Eagle was built in 76, when it was built, and for many years, it was an airtime machine. new trains, track alterations over the years has affected the ride big time... thankfully the drop after the 180 degree turn still generates airtime

    • @mechellehuber5352
      @mechellehuber5352 Před 5 lety

      It's the only park that is completely owned and operated by Six Flags and started out an established Six Flags location.
      I think what makes the employees friendlier than those at other parks is the atmosphere created by management. They encourage employees to (reasonably) interact with guests in a way that is personal. They don't stop employees from conversing with guests about stuff unrelated to their job and employees can personalize their spiels if they're working a ride as long as they mention the key points they are supposed to hit.
      When I worked Boomerang I would give a trivia fact about it previously being the Flashback and would ask the guests what game they wanted to play while the train was pulling up the first lift. Sometimes I played Marco Polo...only I would be Polo and would have to listen for their Marco.

      Oh and we will get a new flat ride for 2019 that will replace highland fling i am thinking like the endevour ride like the catwomens whip i believe that is in texas if i'm not mistaken. I know people were tired of the flat ride announcements but due to all the refurbishment that is needed and due to the flat rides in st louis is pretty much nearly 100% depleted it is most def HAS TO BE ADDRESSED before they can work on a bigger project in 2020 or 2021. Only rides that are left is spinsanity, swings, *which are not really thrill rides* so the only one that is a thrilling flat ride is a larson looper clone. It needs HUGE work for 2019 no doubt about that it needs to be addressed. Technically on 2017 our park was supose to get a 4D free spin coaster like the joker in chicago it was planned but then all the flat rides broke down and everything went to shit in st louis. So it got cancelled but i think it is only a mere delay.

    • @danielworleyyy
      @danielworleyyy Před 6 lety

      I remember coaster studios talking about the 4D going in last year. They definitely need to get their current ride lineup up to speed before tackling any large coaster projects.

    • @mario12359
      @mario12359 Před 6 lety +1

      Its just six flags st louis needs a HUGE funding and needs to repair a lot of broken shit going into a six flags park and having like 10 rides closed is never a good idea. I could give xcallibur and shazam a pass only because they made a statement since last year it was needing improvements, and highland fling for 2019 release of something new. But I mean theirs no word on superman tower of power every time i go to that park its closed with a couple drop carts hanging at the top of the tower its a piece of shit and may not open due to a amputation of somebody leg. No word on issues ferris wheel happening can't get that open. And ya even has a couple other rides that WORK like the battle for matropolis WORKS properly but half of the animatronics are broken and don't activate.

    FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW PHYSICS
    Riding in the back seat of a coaster is the best for the most hangtime and G's
    if you sit in the front all you get is the view and smoothness
    The back cart gets the most force and whip when there are big drops and turns mainly cause you are being pulled vs being in the front is being pushed.

    Funny Mr. Freeze is still running one train. I was in line when the other loading side broke. Something with the control panel on the loading platform. Saw them removing the train from the station. Hopefully that gets fixed soon if it isn't already. Edit: I was there late April.

      Side note: if you ever need a second job, the park is a good place to work. I made $9.50 last summer and was able to really narrow down when I could work (it was my second job). One reason why I decided to go back to work there for a few months last season is because you get paid every Friday for the previous week.

    The highland fling is now Supergirl same concept just the seats are on the outside with feet dangling instead of being in a cage sitting freely my youngest loves riding Supergirl but you should check it out and we got something come next year not sure what it is yet but hopefully something new and not refurbished from another park. I would love if we could take the dueling dragons off of universal and have it at our park. When I went to universal dueling dragons had some technical difficulty's and then when it was about to run it had to stop for lighting so I missed out on that so it would be cool to do that up here. But you hit a lot of stuff on the head. The moose burger used to be McDonald's and around boomerang and Superman was number cars and Tom's twister.clossius is from the original world's fair.

    Excalibur is incredibly reliable. When it was broyght here, the entire ride system was redone. Youve just caught it once in a blue moon waiting on a part to arrive.

    • @coasterdog2593
      @coasterdog2593 Před 6 lety

      No, Xcaliber is extremely un-reliable. When I went on multiple occasions to ride xcaliber, it was down to the GP puking on it. Other than that, it isn’t too bad.

    • @dooble7642
      @dooble7642 Před 6 lety +2

      The Random Dog well you can't really blame the ride for being down because someone puked.. or I guess technically you could but still.

    • @eliasmertens9313
      @eliasmertens9313 Před 6 lety +1

      Being closed for having somebody puke on it doesn't mean it is unreliable. Being closed for a mechanical problem makes it unreliable.
