- During the 2001 NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers, Allen Iverson embarrassed Ty Lue by stepping over him after draining a bucket in his face. But AI recently claimed that he hated it happening to Ty because he loved him as a player and as a person.

Tbh I don't think ty lue played that bad defense on that play
Am I the only person who was always like dud tripped he didn't even break his ankles or anything
This was never an ankle breaker. I don’t think any one would a basketball IQ would say that. And you’re right, T Lue played good defense on that play. Good D juts a better scorer
@@Redditstories1239it wasn’t, he fell AFTER jumping for the shot Lo
@@Lackadaisicxl that’s what I tell people
wasn't bad defense at all just better offense. A.I. is one of the quickest and shiftiest NBA players ever.
AI a class act for saying that.
Iconic finals moment
If I had the chance to hang with any pro athlete Ai is the Answer! God Bless you Mr Iverson
@KhristoffLee that's awesome!!!.next time you see him please give him my regards!
He stepped on himself.
Lue may have played him tough but I can almost with certainty say Iverson wasn't "bothered by Lue. All due respect to Lue.
AI himself was so pumped up because Ty Lue had been bothering him, great players can still get annoyed by good defense
Bullsh*t. Tyronn's defense on AI was terrific that entire series. One highlight reel jump shot doesn't change that.
Lue was holding iversons hand the whole time
*man if i had that crossover no one beating ME in a 1v1 at the park*
Mans said he'll have a COLLECTION of ankles as proof 😭😭😂💀💯
I remember being in 7th grade staying up to watch this game
One of my favorite moments!
Bro this play stuck with me my entire life
Only the Pippen Dunkin on Ewing is nastier. But this was on the biggest stage. The Lakers hadn't lost in the playoffs that year until The Answer... A DAWG!!
AI doesn’t like it but he did it and damn was it disrespectful 😂!
Love Al's response bc I love him 💕#respect
“I really hate to do this but you’ve forced my hand”
Thats why ghost killed breeze😂 getting the way of his championship
That is the best Crossover Iv ever seen
I was watching that game good times
Imagine you always get asked about this situation I kinda feel bad for Ty😂😂
Tyronn was playing good defense, just if you watch closely he stepped on Allen’s foot so he tripped
Omg did y'all see Kobe face he didn't like one but I love it Iverson I was so proud of you never like the Lakers
Battle of the cornrow hairs 😂 And yea this is unforgettable and the time when I hated the lakers specially shaq that time 😅
What's even crazier is imma Laker diehard and I love it cus we won the series lol
I’ve been sick ever since brother but he got there
Lmao Ty lue the only laker that actually has bad memories from the finals
Then they lost the next 4games.. that's one thing I remember about AI
How many points did Iverson have in this game?
That's how we do it 🤥🤥🤫🤫
Man it looks like it was a big fuck you to lue. But If you look at it carefully I think he was just trying not to trip over lue. It was just a coincidence.
Trust me it was not a coincidence. At the time AI hated Lue and Lue was considered to be the best defender of AI. So basically he wanted to prove nobody could stop him
Would even be more iconic if this crossover lead to a ring but….
If he had a ring he still wouldn't get the credit he deserves, if he had a ring he would only have "1" but he's a 4x and should of been 6x,7x scoring champion wit kobe,&shaq 2nn3rd but yall dont wanna hear dis. 01' A.I was the greatest
