▸ The Predator WPA Men’s World 10-Ball Championship 2023 is an annual event organised by CueSports International and Predator Group. The event is sanctioned by the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) and takes place during the CueSports International Expo in Las Vegas.
▸ 128 players will compete for a total prize fund of $250,000 with $60,000 to be awarded to the winning player.
▸ The Predator Pro Billiard Series is a series of open, professional events held around the world to provide more opportunities for professional and aspiring pool players to compete in high-quality events, earn more income, sharpen their skills, and earn their way into the Predator World 10-Ball Championship held in Las Vegas each year as part of the CueSports International Expo.

What a circus! The two balls Shane missed earlier in the match is what put him in the 7-4 spot but his opponent did the same thing which blows my mind how he was able to miss the 7 when he was dead on it. From the point the match had to go to Shane. This game is all about the slight edge, if you make mistake you will get punished.

Daigle doesn't have a stroke that can hold up in clutch situations. He is VERY quick and pops up quickly on almost every shot. He has to be sick to lose this match. SVB was extremely fortunate to win this match - which makes me happy because I am a big SVB fan. But he is going to have to play a lot better moving forward.
Sure would be nice if they could post the race-to target. No clue so far, 45 minutes in.

That match was CRAZY. Man, I can't tell you how hard it is to be a nobody and be up on a champion and trying to close them out. Those pockets had to feel three inches wide lol.

@Chris R I am oblivious to the Canadian pool scene. But so are literally all other non-Canadians. He has no major sponsors and is rocking a 720 Fargo, right on thr cusp of pro standar. He's obviously a super strong regional player, but to beat SVB in a World Championship level event was clearly above his comfort level at this point.
What a match i do have to say i love SVB but he should have lost. It felt like he did not want the win. Just took it cause his opponent f’d up so bad on that 7 ball on an easy 4 ball run out. What happened though his stroke was not straight and caused some unnecessary spin that threw the shot off the intended trajectory. If you watch as he hit it, his tip fell below and slightly off of his intended spot on the ball he was going for

30:23 I think Daigle push the white ball instead of producing a clean impact. In my opinion, thats a fault.
I did not catch the announcers names, but she is wonderful, experienced and knowledgeable. He is about as worthless as I have seen in a while.
Her name is Margaret Fefilova, or better yet was Fefilova, now she's married to American pool player Tyler Styer.
Martin Daigle has got his sights in there. He can see clearly now the pian is gone. I know him. He used to be a bitter-boy, but it seems he found the Zen way.
Another example of trash commentary on display at 20:58 when they’re saying that Shane getting a kiss off the 5 ball was super lucky when in reality if you watch the trajectory and speed of the white you’ll notice that he would have had BETTER shape had he not made contact with the 5 ball at all. Very very annoying stuff.
Not really the shape he would have gotten before if he did not hit the 5 ball would have been too steep for the set up for next ball.
