Take a minute to read this please.This is Liverpools problem. We have strikers who cannot finish. Check out all our stats after or during games. Shots off target is always way more than on target. Mostly by about 3:1. Nunez, Diaz utter shite! Nunez is just erratic and has no composure where as Diaz is all huff and puff and little end product. All the missed chances during games and we have to go till 90 mins plus to get the win. Exerting all energy even to beat the bottom teams. We never win comfortable coz the top 3 cannot finish. Mo is unfortunately past his best almost. Hes been brilliant this past 7 years. 👏🏻💪🏻 Its up to the young lads and both Nunez and Diaz cannot finish. The wing backs then push all the way up forward trying to help the failing attack score and then we get caught out on the counter with 4 on 2 at times. All this effort every game and we are then gassed out end of season. Look at the 2020 team. Salah, Mane, Bobby. Goals galore! Proper finishers! Games won by half time most weeks. Then make the subs and rest the lads. Overall its a worse squad than 2020 in terms of finishing and defending Vvd and Mo's age saddens me too. Not long left. Another rebuild looming for the new manager 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Gomez, Nunez, Gakpo, Diaz Tsimikas out!!!

@@simonfietze1608 At best Diaz is a substitute to bring on when other teams are tired and we already have the game won. But he is not good enough to play as a forward for Liverpool and be guaranteed starts every week. He needs proper competition. Give me Cole Palmer anyday!
Couldn’t agree more with you, mate! And if we are being totally honest, this entire predicament is down to terribly botched succession planning following the dominant 19/20 season. Our recruiting since has been god-awful, and atleast part of it is down to the dismantling of the previously successful, data-driven transfer committee. The disaster of 20/21 was down to us being very thin in the defense department, 22/23 misery was due to an aging midfield not being suitably replaced, and 23/24 collapse is owed to the frontline firing blanks. Likes of Thiago, Nunez, Diaz, Gakpo, Gravenberch have all flattered to deceive, and its a damning indictment that our fates solely rest on the performances of aging stalwarts such as VVD and Salah.

Such an interesting analysis by Klopp about how they lost and how could have been instead. In a few words he described how good Atalanta defended and how bad Liverpool attacked.
Interesting that he expected Liverpool to create more situations like the one that let Salah score the disallowed goal: that means that Klopp actually did know how to create more chances and, above all, what were the problems with Atalanta way of playing. Liverpool, as he said, didn't keep playing long enough and wasn't in good mood.
I just don't get how he didn't find a solution along the game.
I've found Liverpool players strangely out of energy and accuracy in their playing, it felt like they could have been way more dangerous just by speeding up their passing.
Anyway, I'm an Atalanta fan and I don't care that much, I'm so happy and that's it.
I think the next leg will be interesting, Klopp will play his best and fastest players from the beginning. We have to stay focused the whole match and pay attention.
