His wife treated him like a beggar ,asking him to move unto streets for begging (Pai vellu babu ani manam antam kada beggars ni ). They say he left his house premises, singing this song.

He travelled hundreds of miles to gospel about Jesus by walk and he returned back to his village after some years and standing outside his house. His wife thought that he is beggar and brought Lemon rice(pulihora) but she recognized him and she spittle on him and she kept lemon rice on cow dung and ask him to eat it. Purushothama chowdary garu sat near the cow dung and ate lemon rice. At that time he wrote this song.
