There are two things I often find ridiculous in the banking system. 1) They always ask for collateral for loans. If I have many assets, what the heck I need loans for? LOL 2) New start ups are expected to make monies as soon as they hit the road. Shareholders expect high profits every year. Start ups take up to mature to be strong and financially sound. It is unrealistic to expect high profits every year. So long the trajectory is upwards, and on the average positive growth it would be desirable. I don't think USA will collapse. But if you listen to Ray Dalio (one of those rich dudes I respect), the signs of a crumbling empire is internal strife. Look like the Americans are tearing themselves apart.

The US economy is now addicted to ultra-low interest rates bcos of past decade of massive public + private debt fueled + money printing growth & the Fed is walking an ultra-thin tightrope suddenly raising rates 5x to combat inflation while avoiding triggering problems like the bank collapses & a deep recession.

This is unrelated to the economy, but I feel like people here in the US are becoming more sociopathic as times goes on. I swear that it has gotten worse since the pandemic started, more people are starting hate each other more than before, and also now people are trusting the government and each other even less, and Republicans I feel like are trusting the police less and less too(Republicans have always been pro Police, but recently I feel like they are trusting the cops less). Unhappiness here in the US is growing, too I feel like. Whenever I go out to do things, I look around and I can just feel the unhappiness in people, and they just look like they are in a bad mood all the time. I use to look at people and smile, now I just walk pass them and do nothing. I'm actually starting to become unhappy, as well. I think that I have become a little more sociopathic since the pandemic. China still behind in terms of microchip development, America already controls TSMC & ASML and they started divesting from Taiwan to safeguard their Silicon IP and supply chains in case China decides to invade. In US they are trying to engineer a recession as their employment rates are too high, and inflation is too much, people are spending too much and Wall St. are not happy with the rising interest rates waiting for mass firings, so far it's the mainly big tech industries that have fired loads of people. Unfortunately in America the banks get bailed out but not the ordinary people, if their political system wasn't so corrupt they stuck to their capitalist ideology then banks should been left to fail too.

USA is a thief! Has to steal Taiwan’s microchip and ship-building companies in order to keep up with Taiwan’s and other Asian countries’s microchip technology! But, as usual, even with such thefts, the US will fail simply because it is a corrupt country run by corrupt corporate criminal organizations own by the rich elitists! These rich elitists make up less than half of 1% of the population but own 65% of the country’s wealth! While they have billions to invest in off-shore accounts the rest of the country live paycheck to paycheck! Such a system won’t last long and so it will crumble! Too top-heavy it shall topple over!

Well, I'm sitting here in the US. I can tell you that A) the bank collapses aren't going to cause a great recession 2.0, B) people are still living their lives here, and C) many, many more Chinese people are still moving themselves, their capital, and their families from their country than there are Americans fleeing the US.
You're going on a rant about banking and finance on the one hand. On the other hand, I doubt that you would also give up the benefits of such a banking system under the dollar that facilitates the global transfer of goods and services among hundreds of countries. Financial downturns used to be far more severe, protracted, and consequential than they have been over the past 50-100 years.
Keep in mind that developing a technology, product, or service is much different from meaningfully scaling it in a market. How many Chinese people with low levels of disposable income are actually going to have the cash to buy ultra-sophisticated next-generation products in development? The current answer in current market conditions is not going to change in ten years: Not many.
Also, since you mentioned journal article output, in my academic discipline, the PRC is by far the biggest offender when it comes to journal article retractions. I also wonder how Chinese hospitals even provide meaningful healthcare to patients. Some of these articles indicate that 1) GPs see a hundred patients a day and 2) researchers are able to recruit thousands of patients in a month for primary data collection. How is any of this done ethically or meaningfully? Does this explain why I hear about things like Chinese doctors prescribing antibiotics for broken bones?
I'm sorry you drank the Kool-Aid over there, but good luck.
