How to bypass kent grand plus RO ballast

In previous video (Video link:- • how to reset filter ch... ) we saw how to reset electronic ballast of kent grand plus RO. But sometimes it fails to reset due to some defects in circuit board of electronic ballast. we can simply bypass this ballast by joining two jumpers at main connector.
Sir I am getting red light in the pcb and the output connectors for uv lamp have no voltage...what might be the issue?
It supplies power to the UV lamp only when the green light on the PCB lights up. Usually the red light on the PCB flashes when the water storage tank is full. When the water level in the storage tank drops the water level sensor gives a signal to the PCB and then the PCB turns on, also do not check the voltage on the UV lamp connector, it can be dangerous.
I have installed all filters new one so I have to flesh before use? And how much time i should flush them ? And
fill the tank once and then drain it.

pcb me microcontroller laga hai wo kharab hone pe nahi banegi. ek fuse bhi hota hai. fuse check kar sakte hain. agar pcb me line nahi aa rahi hai to smps ko check karen wahan 24 volt aa rahi hai ya nahi. phir connector ko check karen kai baar connector me copper sulphate jama ho jata hai usko check karen aur agar hai to saaf kar len. pcb bypass karne par uv lamp nahi jalegi. pcb 1000 rupye me mil jata hai.
Sir my solenoid valve again failed....so I bypass the connection without solenoid valve....koi dikkat to ni h na
solenoid valve nahi lagane se paani machine nahi chalu rahne par bhi UF filter se water tank me jayegi aur paani leak kar sakta hai.
can i use stabilizer for the long life of the choke?
The choke is powered by 24 volt SMPS. A good quality SMPS does not require a stabilizer.
when removing filter water inlet pipe water comes out with pressure is it normal or my filter have some problem i have closed the water tap too still when trying to remove the water in pipe from filter. Water comes out with pressure?
There is some residual water in the filter that will come out when the pipe is removed. It's normal. But if the water is coming out with too much pressure then there is a possibility of the filter getting choked.

I have got a Kent Maxx system. I was getting continuous beep and the system was not working. I have changed the UV lamp but the beep is still coming. Tried to reset the ballast but the problem persists. Does it mean that the electronic ballast is defective?
The continuous beep sound is indicative of a filter change alarm, not a UV lamp. Yes, even after resetting it, beeps mean the ballast is defective. You can change the ballast or bypass it. Try one more time, press the reset button until the continuous beep sound stops.
You have not shown "UV" light connection in last bypass diagram. Without UV filter want to run the RO . ??? If i want to connect at wt voltage required to on UV light?
actually we are bypassing the ballast and UV lamp get power from ballast. if you want to glow UV lamp then you should have to replace the ballast.UV lamp require a choke to glow. Video link

Some wire from 220 to float switch is it safe or 24v should be used for float switch
24V is safe because at higher voltages such as 220V the contact point of the float switch can generate sparks and be damaged.
So, after doing this we won't need to change the entire set (which costs around Rs 5000) in every 12 months as written on them ?
yes, but change when TDS increases drastically

I got a uf membrane it's weight is very less is it normal or that uf is not a good quality one
are you comparing the weight of two new UF membrane? if you comparing with old one then naturally the old one has more weight than new one because it has some water content.

it is better to change the ballast, because if you bypass, UV lamp will not work.
DIY Repairs and if bypass along with uv lamp chock so as to keep uv functioning.
@@shubhamkhandelwal858 main part of the ballast is the microcontroller. it also controlls the uv lamp circuit. if ballast is defective then uv lamp will not glow.

check the connector of ballast. it may be corroded. clean it.

Sir I have a grand plus which is not switching on at all times. A tap on the body with my hand sometimes switches on the machine again. What could be the problem ? Loose connection ? Please help.
yes loose connection or Sometimes the wire connectors rust due to moisture. open the machine and check it.

Sir, i hv a Kent Excell + model. The connection from SMPS to 2 Pin on ballast gets heated up and sometimes doesn't works. What can be the fix ?
environment inside the RO is humid which can cause deposition of copper sulphate on connectors. open the connector and check for any corrosion, if present then clean it.

check 24 volt from smps at pin 6 and 7 then float switch which is connected at pin no.2
Hello, I have Kent Grand + water purifier, have tried doing ballast reset for alarm, but it didn't work. The ballast bypass seems complicated and needs change of a part, is there any simpler way to get the purifier working during lockdown?
switch off the machine for some time then again try to reset the ballast. During reset, machine should be on. if fail then do the bypass. Bypassing is very simple just take out the connector from the ballast and you have to connect two jumpers as shown in the diagram in video. no need to change the overflow switch during lock down. Just switch off the machine, when water is about to fill in the tank.

Aapne blast bypass kiya magar usme magnetic switch ki jagah par kya flot switch lagana jaroori tha? Magnatic switch ok Rahagato vo use kar sakte ha kya ? Uv chalane ke liye algse uv choke laga sakte ha kya ?
kent purposely made the ballast that when you try to reset the entire circuit fails then you have to get a new ballast for 2-3k, better is to bypass it and save your money.
How is UV LAMP REMAIN CONNECTED.

yes sir, you can connect wires directly. this is only to protect booster pump and to prevent air gap in pipes.

Hi, Thanks for such a nice video explaining in detail. In my case, I got the UV fail alarm and reset switch also didn't solve the problem. I changed the UV lamp also thinking it might have got problems. But even after that i get the UV fail alarm. (Its a single short beep and then 2 sec silent). When i start the machine it switches on and off UV lamp 2 times and then starts beeping. I can see the aqua light in the UV chamber so UV lamp is fine. For 1 day it automatically worked also but then failed again after 1 day. I doubt that blast might have failed. For the time being I am bypassing the blast, but wanted to know is there some way I can check which component in the choke/blast is faulty and replace it only. Float switch is giving 22 volts high correctly but I do not get 22 volts for SV and pump. So this makes me thing some fault in choke itself.

short beep after 2 sec is a signal of UV fail, but you say that UV lamp is good. then check the sensor of UV lamp inside the ballast. the sensor consist 4 zener diode connected in bridge with small toroidal transformer after the big transformer. check the diodes and and other components in uv section. if still not find any bad components then the microcontroller might be defective.

RO system never stop delivering water if need filters replacement until water flow is there. Only taste changed.
Normal beep can reset only part damage can be level sensor. That can be by pass.
My filter power supply always go bad like in 1 month or 2 why ? That too that power supply is orginal Kent one
Check for fluctuations in the power supply coming from the power grid. change your phase from electric pole.

filters have nothing to do with the power supply. only ballast, solenoid valve and booster pump can affect the power supply. change the ballast.

Actually the choke or ballast inside the machine is programmed in such a way that after 700 hours of use it starts beeping. It does not give the exact condition of your filters, when uv lamp fails, also then ballast beeps. UV fail alarm sign is 2 short beep in every 2 second. try to reset the ballast. Video link

@@applebpo5059 only remove membrane and booster pump but do not remove solenoid valve. other filters do not change water TDS.

float switch is important to stop the machine when water tank is full. you cannot bypass it.

Basically each RO system has 3 to 4 electrical systems. They are pressure motor, UV lamp, solenoid valve, autoflush valve. They all receive power from smps and the main board (ballast). To bypass the main board, connect float switch(it should be switch type not magnetic type) in series with smps and then connect directly to both the motor and solenoid valves. The motor and solenoid valves are connected parallel to each other. when you bypass this way your uv lamp will not work. to make it work you have to put a uv lamp driver circuit.

Can RO candle may be bypassed in water purifier
yes it can be bypassed but RO is the main filter, it can filter the dissolve salts in water, all other filters are just for removing sediments impurities like sand, dust, rust etc.

You are showing two types of bypass connection. Which way is better to connect bypass?
Both are similar, you can use any. My aim was to show that the booster pump does not have polarity.

How to by pass RO membrane ?
Our water TDS is already in range of 150 PPM
bypass the membrane by taking out input pipe from membrane and connect it to the uv chamber or simply open the TDS controller valve to maximum. Video link
