"Did you think that just because I sacrificed 5 years of my life to raise your children so you could go off and achieve financial success, that I was gonna hire some barracuda lawyer to take everything you've got, so I could retire in the riviera and go blonde?!!! Who thinks of such things?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. She barely breathed 😂😂
The part when Maxwell said he wants Fran to be the children's legal mother is touching. Love The Nanny.
Yes
Fran Drescher IS Nanny Fine. One of the most most convincing characterizations of a role I’ve ever seen. She’s genius! Too bad we don’t still have this type of show.
As Fran Drescher has said before: “everything of Fran Fine is in Fran Drescher, but Fran Drescher is NOT all Fran Fine
This show hits different when you're approaching 35 and still single. Love Fran even more. 😆
Lmao 🤣🤣 if she can do it so can you!
Completely agree! 35 seemed so much older when I watched as kid. But now…😏
🥚
Thankfully we’re in a more progressive generation so it’s not such a big deal anymore to live life differently now
@@3lttlbrds yet guess what? People are still allowed to be conservative and want a family or a partner and not live an alternative lonely lifestyle having ONS every second week
The prenup itself didn’t rub me the wrong way, the fact theres a weight clause did.
Well she better start doing cocaine
It works both ways. Women initiate 80% of divorces and usually dump men who lose their jobs and life savings or aren’t good enough anymore.
In which case men should be allowed to have their own standards like weight maintenance.
@@mr.objective6936 I'm sorry but financial issues and weight change are two VERY different things
Love her sweater and necklace when she was signing. So pretty. She really does love the children.
That outfit with the Purple top and jeans is so subdued for her!
Usually she wears outrageous animal prints and flashy clothes lol
This outfit makes her look like a normal sitcom Mom
Fran's first line was elite...
“I’m surprised that you didn’t put a clause in here saying I have to maintain a certain weight… 😱”
“Well…ahem…he saw your mother.”
Excellent response, Maxwell.
That was the one time I read didn’t like Maxwell.
@@acgearsandarms1343 gross🤢
@@acgearsandarms1343 "he" saw your mother -- not we. The attorney who wrote the prenup saw Sylvia -- sounds like a shark, considering how he convinced Max to go along with it
@@luzmaya7787 Thanks for the correction.
I love Maxwell's attire, especially the shirt-suspenders combo! The suspenders are adorable!
Are we really going to open that łand of the giant can of worms. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He does have a point.
@@samalvey8168 A Great 1!
He was only being protective and yet at the end he found out that Fran loves the children as her own and she was gonna sign it then Max knew there was no need for the prenup! I just loved this couple !😍
I want a relationship like that!😍😭
The joke about the weight limit for Fran was really dark 👀👀👀
Fran has the best expressions and comedic timing!
Prenups may not be a pretty idea but may be the sensible thing to do at times. I don't know... After all marriage is supposed to be all about Love. But let's face it, when a couple decides to divorce it's then all about the money and assets and who gets what and how much. Falling in love is easy. Staying in love is where the assignment is.
yup, especially for those without God at the center of their marriage, they definitely should get a prenup!
@@november132 You hit the nail right on the head. Maintaining God at the center of every marriage...
By the gl0ry of S@t@n, I hope you have a happy marriage.
Prenups that are done well protect BOTH parties. The problem most have with them is that they’re handed one written by one party and they forget that can negotiate and add/remove their own clauses with recommendations from their own legal counsel.
Marriage is about love and family but divorce is decidedly not and when you throw cheating into that mix it’s gets a fuckton uglier 😅
A prenup is not about trust. Hope for the best, but plan for the worst. But the weight-clause is crossing a line of course.
Fran is such a strong woman how she just slaps him on my stomach. I love how Fran became a strong woman and went to talk to him first. I love Maxwell and Fran together. I love her ring and her accent was so funny ❤❤
I could accept a prenup from my fiancee.
However, if my partner were to put a clause about my weight, he could definitely forget about the wedding…
Well if your mother is overweight, you can't blame him.
@@ashashraa6579 what difference does it make?
@@ashashraa6579 your comment is just so gross
@@danitotd if your mother is Silvia Fine, it's not gross
@@Whitby_Abbeys_Ghost no, it's not, it's natural thing to gain weight with age. It's like she wanted a clause about him not going grey.
I love the Nanny! Add the clip when he calls her the nanny after they’re married! 🙏🏻
The weight part didn't seem right to me
Its actually very common. If you are mindful of your weight you will live longer, I think Max wants that so Fran can take care of the children.
@@LoudMime That's usually the reasoning given behind it, too? If so it's a load of lies...
@@monmothma3358 Yup. A friend of mine was living with this guy who was “concerned” about her weight. Yes, my friend is and always has been overweight for her height. However, this guy wasn’t svelte, himself. He forced her to exercise to several work out videos a day, eat salads when they went out, and only have juice or water. Because he “wanted them to have a long and healthy life together.” Meanwhile, while she’s sneaking to my house to binge candy she can’t have at home, he’s eating all the junk he wants and getting drunk off his ass with the boys every weekend, having her drive out of state to get him more beers after midnight on Sunday. When they broke up, it was because he cheated on her with an equally fat woman. My friend insisted he’d done it because her stomach was flatter (not true, she just didn’t pour herself into too small clothes), and that he didn’t have the beer gut we all assumed he did. He was toned. Really. And everything was her fault for staying so fat and never listening.
@@5th_cellar Talk about hypocrite! Good on your friend for getting out!
@@monmothma3358 If you say so, but I personally think that you are just projecting.
I'd sign a prenup. I don't plan on divorce, and I'd make that clear. However, the weight thing?? No way
They've missed the best part "Wotahhh, wotahhh! I swallowed my tongue! I swallowed my tongue!"
I have had the biggest crush on her since my teenage years.
Right? What’s not to like. I’m a straight woman lol
Fran is on the same level as Lucille Ball!
Except for the weight requirement (which is sexist), Max has a point. Nothing wrong with wanting to protect your assets prior to the marriage just in case.
This show taught me to avoid pre-nups. Now to date someone who has the necessity for a prenup lol
those first 18 seconds are probably my favorite dialogues of the whole series
This is a modern-day fairy tale & I just love it!
What a divine and uplifting clip. ❤❤❤❤❤
Probably my favourite episode of the whole show ❤️🔥
maxwell is ABSOLUTELY right ...prenup is the way to go
Sometimes
AAAWWWW... Thats so nice that he changed his mind!
I love this show so much
I swear this was one of the sweetest scenes in the entire series ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Incredible
So sweet
To all of you people: in real life, if one of the 2 has significantly more assets than the other, always sign a prenup! If your soulmate loves you enough, then (s)he will understand you and sign the document. A prenup is a "just in case" document, just like an insurance policy.
'Just in case' is the worst way to explain it when you plan your life together. I agree that signing it is important but putting it that way is horrible.
If you need a prenup you don’t need to get married, and you always need a prenup.
@@evvunja there are life plans and there is reality, often conflicting with our projects.
@@Spritz86 Read my comment again
A prenup also protects the financial interests of the children. I agree if one of the 2 has significantly more assets than the other, always sign a prenup - PARTICULARLY when there are children from other relationships.
Wonderful
i used to watch this when i was like 11 now im 27 and i love it even more
Я смотрела это шоу в оригинале и в адаптации, благодаря вам я впервые узнала о том, что такое американский ситком, как живут другие люди и от души смеялась. Thank you so much to Fran, cast and crew 😍
Im crying 😭🤧💞
He want that she raise the children 💖🙏

what heartless monsters thumbed this down..... smh....
The actor who didn’t get a part in the nanny…
I want that necklace 😍😍
I love jou Mrs.Fine❤❤❤
Sign the prenuptial agreement people.
This is fiction.
😂😂🤣ok
My husband and I don't even have any money, but I still think we should've signed a prenup. We never plan to divorce, but heaven forbid one of us hits our head on a rock and loses all common sense and we have money by that time, it could be a whole mess
The sweetest scene of the whole show ❤️
I would insist on a prenup regardless of how much my partner makes compared to me. I was raised to think that was standard. I didn’t realize it was a contentious subject until I was quite a bit older.
Amazing 😉
Back when I was young and had few assets, prenups sounded horrible. I still believed in fairly tales.
Fast forward 40 years..... I now have no debt and significant assets that may or may not be more wealth than a potential husband might have. Prenups make sense now! LOL But I'd also have it written that our debts, not just our assets, are our own.
Thus, all fairy stories end.
Who think of such things? Every sane man on the planet!
Actually it's not a problem signing a prenuptial contract.
If you're not marrying a person for the money, why get upset?
Prenups are necessary
...and go blonde..
🤣♥️
The fact that he put a weight requirement for Fran in the prenup just rubs me the wrong way. Extremely sexist and discriminating!!
Different times then
Different expectations for different genders. She has expectations for him as well, different but still.
Yeah that's kinda weird to me. Having a prenup to protect your assets I understand. Putting in clauses like "Cant cheat" or "Cant spend money frivolously" just makes sense. But the weight thing is just weird to me.
Cry
Well it's their personal life and so they can be as discriminating/sexist/ etc as they wish. It's not like he's forcing it on his employees. Fran wants to marry a wealthy guy, and he doesn't want to marry her mother. Since many people take after their parents, it's a high chance Fran will turn into her mother if she stops being in shape since food is her 'medicine'.
Fran & the gang say what we all think.
💗💗💗💗
“he saw your mother” 🤣
Did you think that just because I sacrificed five years of my life to raise your children so you can go off and achieve financial success, that I was going to hire some barracuda lawyer to take everything you've got, so I can retire in the Riviera and go blonde... Who thinks of such things.
Serriously, look at her figure. I could totally believe she was in her mid 20s
Aside from the weight management clause Max was doing the right thing.
i genuinely hate maxwell sometimes
Oh my i need tissues.
Am I the only one who feels weird when Maxwell calls her Fran instead of Ms. Fine, Darling, Love, Sweetheart, ect. I just uneasy with it.
In a way, it's true, Fran won't be able to maintain the house without Maxwell's wealth if he dies, under a prenup.
A pre-nup is for when a couple split not when a person dies. IfMaxwell dies Fran will be his widow and be entitled to whatever he has. As long as he has updated his will to include her. She will get his estate less anything he left for the children.
Prenup! Prenup! Prenup!
Prenups take on a different light when you're approaching retirement.. Not a time to risk anything.. there's no rebuilding at that point.
Yet at the same time I'm a 'marriage is a permanent thing and divorce shouldn't be an option for the vast majority' type of person so it sounds off to do any sort of "in case of divorce" stuff..
@@kimvannatter5214 Honestly, it's one of those things where it's better to have it and not need it, and it's also so much better to at least think those things through when you actually have each other's best interests at heart. No one has insurance because they're sure they'll wreck their car, we all go into these things with the best intentions.
En français ou sous-titré !
Get a prenup guys.

This hurts even more that the sequal series wants them to divorce
It’s not a sequel Fran Drescher said it doesn’t refer to Max and Fran
What!? Please tell me there's not going to be a sequel. It will completely ruin the series, especially if they're divorced.
@@SB-sg4em no, they’re talking about “Happily divorced” a show also produced by Fran Drescher that could be interpreted as a continuation of the nanny where Fran’s divorces (Renee Taylor who plays Sylvia also appears, maybe that’s why), but it’s definitely not. I believe Drescher herself denied that.
Happily Divorced was made after her real life marriage story to another creator of the Nanny - Peter Marc Jacobson. They have a forever love that’s unconventional. But I don’t think there’s an official reboot for the Nanny yet.
Happily Divorced just had Maxwell's actor as... Himself, a famous actor essentially. They have references, but it's based on her real life marriage
Can someone explain what the Ari Onassis clause is please?
A certain amount of sex.
Fran's mom said that Ari Onassis put a matrices mombo clause in their prenup stipulating the wife had to sleep with her husband a certain number of times a year.
@@meganroberts8721 it happened because Jackie was all the time traveling, of course with Onassis money, asking for coffee and bread from Manhattan when she was in Scorpio island and burning money in Dior, Chanel, etc…. Indeed, in real life a man like Mr Sheffield with 3 children should definitely go for a prenuptial. With all the divorces that happen these days, it's an exception if you are married for life.

It makes sense for Maxwell. Fran's family like money very much (let's put it that way). I mean her mother has couched her to marry a man with money. And Maxwell has children. Fran hasn't contributed to his wealth, she was getting paid throughout those 5 years. It's not about romance but about what's fair to their children

Max wanting Fran to stay a certain weight makes sense when you realize, he would still love her no matter how she looks, the real problem would be she and Sylvia would probably eat them out of house and home. Sylvia staying for a week or so left them all starving, they wouldn’t survive two of them.
