My aunt had over 12, one for each month and a few spares but she bought new ones every year. She enjoyed shopping a little to much, but she enjoyed donating even more, so if you see a fluffy one with semi 3D ducks or Mrs clause in a thrift store, I’d check if any toffees are still in the pocket
I love that look that Max gives Fran when she excitedly tries the ring on... We all deserve someone like that.
"Wait until after the honeymoon, I'll get you Ted Turner on the roof with a hanger." This show had such clever lines that flew under the radar.
This is probably because I'm Swedish and only was in my early teens when this first aired, but I must admit that I still don't get it.

CC has been nasty to Fran and has actively tried to undermine her with Max and the kids for five years. Getting Max's rejection of her by singing telegram (courtesy of Niles) is just desserts. The Cartier diamond engagement ring and the wedding made CC's sore loser status official; the twins were the final nails in CC's coffin.
Actually, it is not just desserts.
Even though CC could be mean and selfish, Niles mostly had no reason to treat her like he did.
If you watched the show she ended up with Niles while Fran was pregnant and she no longer cared bout Maxwell and Fran.in fact it's only the first two seasons she tried to undermine Fran.And during she told Maxwell that she knows he was always in love with Fran it was serious although she funnily pretended she was the bride
@@Carousel5883I recently watched the entire show. There was nothing "funnily" about that wedding dress moment. CC literally had to be committed to a mental institute. Even after she came back, there were a couple of moments in season 6 AFTER they got married where she was actively trying to undermine Fran and rejoicing when she made mistakes. I understand liking a character, but let's not fool ourselves. The woman was obsessive, and it was very unhealthy. If she could have had Max, she would've dropped Niles in a hot second

It was almost like a fever dream waking up on the couch in pure cold sweat
Then hearing the nanny them song and immediately feel a calm safe feeling washing over you

Gotta love this show. Especially when they refer to de Beers diamonds, Kimberley South Africa. Loved the singing Instagram for CC and the look on her face just says it all. Must say they bounce off each other so well, with all those lines just rolling off their lips. I would love to see when they crack up laughing as well. Edit: on HBO Max, forgot that part, it was on their video announcing their new releases for April so I don't think it's a trick. I know $15 per month is pretty steep but you'd get to watch a lot of other things to, plus Nanny marathons whenever you want!

What didn’t work about Fran and Maxwell finally getting together is that they never really kissed nicely often on screen.
It didn’t have to be visible, it could be implied, but what happened is that they would give each other these fake air kisses that felt unsatisfying.

My. My. A bit of stereotyping doesn't look good on you, Ann. "Most" of us don't wear extravagant rings nor do we act stuffy or posh, put on airs, or push them in others' faces to brag. That's too close to show them off anyway; that close up and the ring would appear cloudy and not show off its brilliance. 😏
Oh, and for the new generation, they are buying cubic zirconia and the silicone rings in order to save money for homes, cars, and wedding trips. I know because we have a son we convinced to buy his fiancée a nice set, too, in addition to the everyday inexpensive set.
@@ADayInLisasLife3947 agreed but nothing wrong with some sparkle either, I personally love jewelry and took great pleasure in designing my ring, same goes for my fiancé who is also getting a custom one. We're the same way with furbishing our home and our wedding.
@@cacovie Nothing is wrong with sparkle, I was [tongue-in-cheek] saying the diamond wouldn't appear at its finest if it was "in someone's face." Yes, I thought it was cute this summer when my son's fiancée got off work with the Alaska Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks and told him she was going to town with friends and let her diamond shine. That's exactly why we told him she would appreciate a nice set as well as a functional set.
