Hey loves! It’s been a while since I’ve done a product review, so when a few of my Instagram followers hit me up about the new Carol’s Daughter Coco Crème Curl Shaping Cream Gel I knew it was time to do one. I love using gel for my wash and go’s, and Carol’s Daughter is one of my favorite brands, so it sounded like the perfect pairing. In this week’s CZcams video, I showcase myself using the product and my first thoughts. I was a little nervous beforehand because I didn’t see any positive reviews when doing research beforehand. And although I was pleasantly surprised with the results, I did have one glaring piece of feedback. So, be sure to watch the entire video to find out what that is! Enjoy!
I've used creme gels as well. I'm currently using the Alodia creme gel. In my opinion creme gels work best when using the with the product line only. I noticed creme gels don't mix well with other products which usually causes flakes.

Ah! Thank you so so much! That really means a lot! My favorite gel is the Aunt Jackie's Don't Shrink Flaxseed Elongating Curl Gel--I didn't want to mention it in a video for another brand haha!
I literally just watched one of your videos from the shorter fro and then randomly came across this video and was like WOW, this just gave me so much hopee.. i think that was a sign to keep it going lol 😂 , your hair is beautiful!

Your hair is gorgous. Lemme just say, I already knew when you started applying it that this product wasn’t going to do anything for your hair as far as definition. I been there, done that lol. Pretty fro though❤️
Ive been interested in trying this gel, but I feel it’s extremely concentrated, and need to be applied on wet to soaking wet hair. The volume was just though 😍😍😍😍😍

Maybe less leave in conditioner or maybe do a deep conditioner then just use cream. I learned that if you use a deep conditioner you don’t need a leave in. That way you can have 1 product and maybe the “snow” will disappear?
I also tried this product, there was so much chunky flakes. It was very flaky. Had to redo the wash and go the next day. I did love the that my hair was moist but the flakes were a no no for me. I love Carol daughter products and it is actually my go to product line, but the Cream Gel did not work out as expected. I will however try again with less product and see what happens.
Although you don’t care for the flaking, you shared you think people with low porosity hair would like it. Can you elaborate more on why a low porosity hair person would like it ? Love this video by the way !!
Yes! Because of it's watery consistency I think it'll be more adaptable to low porosity hair that needs that extra moisture. It'll actually be able to seep into the hair follicles better!
I'm so torn because your wash and go looks so good! I may try it anyways lol I have their spray leave in/refresher that came with the line so maybe that would be a flake free combo
I’m curious about why they made such a loose gel with that line. Everything else is so thick and creamy but I won’t prematurely judge it lol let me keep watching
Was wondering if maybe you would try to kinky curly curling custard. I just got it and it has really great Ingredients, the consistency is just about the same as this, slightly wish it was a bit thicker for a more firm hold, but I like it.

Yeah, I may need to try a diff leave in. It's just so weird how it literally is snowing but idk where the snow is coming from lol!
