Everything is better than in the original F91w. And only for €14 for both. The 2 skmei I ordered have just arrived, the gold one and the white one. They are great.
Thank you very much for the video, I was unsure between the Skmei 1412 and the 2042 but, as the 1412 is the same size as the f-91w, I'm going to get the 2042. It's a great watch.
A great review again! Thanks 👍 It seems this 2042 is better than the W-217H , because of the EL backlight. And for half the price! For me the winner (in this digi style) is the Lorus R2305NX9, with 100m WR, good legibility and 4 buttons. And a Seiko quartz digi movement.
i have the same issues that you do with the f91. the skmei seems like a better alternative. i stepped up in price to the w218 which is a similar size to skmei. the best thing about the casio is you can get it on a velcro strap ($29)
If a rival company is making effectively the same watch arguably better & cheaper..& in more varied & exciting colours. Why doesn't Casio sit up and say "we'd better raise our game" ???
So what is the lug width where the strap mounts, what size NATO strap would fit-??? So many reviews leave this important info out as well as whether certain watches can even fit another band instead of the factory band. Some watches have proprietary mounts that wont accept another band just the original.
Sorry seems I missed it in the video - like all watches I buy the factory band was too short for my 8.6" wrist but I accepted that years ago on 99% of watches I buy. I just today took delivery of this SKMEI 2042 with the silver case and black band as I liked the color contrast, then I swapped the band for a black 22mm NATO as It was harder to find a 21mm in stock at the time and the watch now fits & looks great this way but the 22mm band made it even harder to fit, but as you said if you want to do this its a MAJOR effort to fit a NATO band under the factory pins as theres little room - I used a 1.5mm xs 22mm NATO making it even more difficult but I got it on after a long session. I found wetting the NATO band a bit can help in (some) cases but you end up either forcing the band under the installed pins and pulling it through with pliers & wetting, pushing and forming the band into the cavity with a blunt tool then force fitting the pins (not easy either). Normally on Casios I buy 22mm black metal adapters from "Jays & Kays" on ebay and the look is factory, but they dont make any adapters specifically for SKMEI watches just the Casios - though I did get lucky on another SKMEI 1496 watch which is a slightly larger clone of the Casio W218H & found Jays & Kays W217/218 22mm adapters will swap over to the slightly larger SKMEI 1496 218H clone perfectly and looks great with a black or other NATO band of your choice as well. Ive done a few different swaps on Casios with J&K adapters and really pleased with their quality and fit, plastic bands have never fit my large wrists and anyway they eventually break so the NATO bands are a great solution when they fit though they do cost about the same as the watch itself-lol-but consider they also come with a free tool & four spring bars and in some cases two of the bars being the easy release type.

Please Tell its Battery life?? F-91 have a 7-8 yrs battery life. Does Skmei 2042 have that much battery life?

I said in the video it was 21mm, but there isn't a lot of room so it would have to be pretty thin.

The strap is also softer than casio

So is it a keeper? I don't see much sense in selling it, postage might be more expensive than the watch itself
I will probably sell it as I already have too many plastic workout watches. I paid so little for it that I won't lose money.
