Thats not even a good take. Slap contests are not fighting, they’re not trying to sell you a water downed version of a product that already exists. Its a completely different lane and business unlike influencer boxing which uses name recognition to sell woof tickets.

Two big points you missed Wade:
1. In Europe we don't pay for UFC PPVs. They're usually included in another subscription, so that's a lack of PPV buys that Misifits doesn’t have.
2. UFC PPV is 80 dollars, Misfits is 20 dollars. A lower price point obviously makes more people able to afford it.
I have no problem believing that the Prime Card sold better than anything else this year. Not saying it's better or more legit, it obviously isn't.

I think one point everyone missed is the price point. I think I’m the US it was like 60$ and everywhere else it was $20 and below. Along w the fact that they had INTERNATIONAL STARS on the card. They had US,UK,Brazil, Thailand, Philippines, ireland if you consider the fact that people were expecting Dillon and Conor together. They all add up when they pay those very low prices on ppvs
And then we have basically free UFC PPVS in Europe

I just hate the whole subscription shit in buying a fight. Gotta sign up for a month subscription in order to be able to buy the fight. Then you buy the fight and it’s 3+ hours for a 15-min match. Versus just checking your phone occasionally for the live updates.
I want to buy them. I do. I just don’t want to sit around my house or a friend’s place for hours upon hours for a 15-20 min match.
That’s a pretty good deal for actual fight fans though, if you were to buy a one month subscription to DAZN rn you could get access to some pretty good cards, not trynna take shots at you but it sounds like you simply aren’t a fight fan

Dana was right about a lot of things here about the business of boxing, hell Showtime just aired there LAST boxing event ever BUT he also runs a circus as well (Slap). Also imo I don't see a lot of influencers more so specifically from Mistits ever getting an opportunity to main event a PPV card.

I think it's easily summarized as Dana is OK with it, provided it is something that benefits him, e.g., when the UFC does it. - I mean it is a clown show through and through, but that's really the point for influencer boxing. The people on these influencer cards, each of them have massive followings, and the people watching, aren't necessarily watching for competitive bouts, and stunningly professional conferences. - They are there to watch their favorite influencer bark and bite at another influencer.
There's not really much point in stripping that away, when it's part of the point, and part of the reason that people watch in the first place. - Are some of the matches garbage? Yeah they are, but it doesn't matter because the numbers speak, regardless of personal feelings.
Ppv should be public cause the people paid for that ish.
