  • This is a part of my school assembly program. "The legend of Kokopelli"
A Native American humped-back flute player depicted in many petroglyphs throughout the southwest United States. There are many stories of Kokopelli some telling of him being a rain priest or a fertility god, but the one that rings with me is
Kokopelli...the traveling flute player who gives the passion for music!!!
In my program. I tell KOKOPELLI'S legend. Afterwards, I pick up my guitar and share my stories of being a traveling musician. Explaining to the kids that music is a universal bridge between people all over the world. And when all is said and done. I burst into song and I celebrate with our the passion for music. Nothing in the world like seeing a couple hundred kids exploding with the joy of music. Viva Kokopelli!! y Viva la Musica!!

My 6 year old granddaughter was afraid of my little stuffed Kokopelli so I search for a video to show her there was nothing to be afraid of and she loved this video out of all the ones I found (me too!) She now comes in my room searching for my stuffed Kokopelli and asked to see this video. She will watch it 4 or 5 times in a roll. Thank you so much for sharing this, we really enjoy it! Not sure if you read these comments but would like to know if you have any others like this, I search and did not find anything. Blessings!

Is there text of this story? I would like my students to compare a text to this performance. I have been searching but haven't found quite the same story with the elk.

A bit much for me.. I would have liked it more if you dialed back the anime sound effects of a super saiyan taking a heavy duty shit while flying through a swarm of angry bees and other drawn out theatrics. Can barely follow the story.
