    Thanks for the tip! What thickness is that/do you recommend? 1/4 inch? 3/16 inch?

      3-16 is good. The thicker it is the more durable and stiffer it will be. The thinner it is the less space it takes up. Depends on your prey and how long you make it.

    Very cool.
    I thought this rope degrades badly in the sun

    I didn't know that hollow line would float. I definitely want to try that this year. Do you think It'll be ideal for pole spears?

      This line is for attaching to your belt or leaving anchored to the bottom. Wouldn't attach it to a pole spear.

      @@konafreediversreviews1175I mean no disrespect but you did say at the end of the video that you can attach it to your gun, I would imagine that apply to pole spears
      Is there something one would attach to a pole spear?

      @@konafreediversreviews1175I dropped my spear not long ago shore diving and recovered it quick enough but isn’t it similar tying to your belt and tying to your polespeart band as long as you have a good purchase on the polespear

    Why not just make the Brummel splice since your halfway there?

    • @konafreediversreviews1175
      @konafreediversreviews1175  Před 2 lety +2

      That's an excellent suggestion Alejandro. The brummel splice adds more complexity and this solution works just fine while also being simple and sufficient.

    Just wondering does the line never get caught on fins, when I dive I go around 30 feet deep and have a 40 feet line. But when I go into shallower water(10 feet for example) the line gets somewhat loose and messes around with my feet. I was wondering if there is anithing I can do to fix it or if this is normal wirh any buoy line

      Some lines tend to be a bit stiffer and won't wrap around you as easily. You could check out the reef rope. That's usually a good inexpensive option.
