This song is beautiful and I love hearing Billy Ray and Miley singing together. I can hardly wait to see the movie and hear this song in it. Also, I will be buying the soundtrack and Billy Ray's new CD, "Back To Tennessee" with this song on both. This is the first time I've heard the full version and it is fantastic.

My dad was my world when I was little, but after the years came and went, he and I were never eye to eye. When I graduated this summer, this was already after my parents divorce - he came up to me and told me he was proud, and that he saw me grow these last 18 years into a wonderful woman. I cried with this song for the reason, that I wish that I was raised the way that this song has described she and her father probably had it as she grew up. I have very few wonderful memories, but the best.
I lost my uncle, grandmother, and granfather all in a month (the first two passed away only 2 days apart) so this song definately speaks to me too. I'm dorry to all of those who have lost someone special especially to those of you who have lost one or more parents!

I love this song. I got to hear Billy Ray and Miley sing this in person after the Hannah Montana Premiere on April 2. I had tears streaming down my face while I held my 7yr old daughter's hand. Amazing song!
My daddy just passed away on 2/14/18. This songs hits hard we loved this song, we would laugh together, cry together. He was my knight in shinning armor and I miss him so much. I love you daddy. I wish I could bring you back.
I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my father 16 years ago and then i lost my mother a year later after my dad passed away. So this song definitely hits me where it hurts the most whenever I think about both of my parents. 😭😭😭

I lost my Da at 15. I had come to the US to meet my birth mom who was dying of pancreatic cancer. 1 week after arriving I got a phone call from my stepmum telling me he had died of a massive coronary. A week later my birth mum passed. Been on my own ever since. It still hurts some times when I think of him. But I tell my kids what kind of a man her was and it all will work out in the end. Watching Miley and Billy Ray share the screen together was the first time I ever admired the relationship between a girl on the brink of becoming a lady and her old man. When I think of this beautiful song, another Disney parent child relationship I think is Lightning McQueen thinking of Doc Hudson (RIP) as a father figure in Cars.
i lost my Dad on june 24th 2011 ti congestive heart failure, he was 82. he was my whole world, my mom was not there to raise me, she wanted to be selfish and tell us to go away, so my Dad became everything to me!!! i took care of him his last 16 mths of his life. he was so happy i was there with him at home. i was there at the end, combed his hair and clipped his nails, and he said happy bday to me the day he died, and my bday wasnt till the 28th, like he knew he wouldnt be there. miiss you.
i feel very connected to this song even though I've not had the same experience. It's very touching and is the only redeeming quality about the hannah montana movie

This song helped me a lot when my Dad passed away earlier this year it was very sad, he died in a horrible accident at a gaming corporation called BUNGIE they were doing construction and he walked outside of his Office and a Wall fell on him, his last words were "Dayton, I love you, take care of you're mother, and you will take my place..." The I ran out of the hospital in Tears.....
