This may be the last time this year or longer or maybe never. It`s your steam ship we work hard trying to save her and look after her. But the Shieldhall needs some steel ribs to be replaced which will last for another 50 years, Not bad for 54 year Mot . BUT this will cost the Charity 250.000 to 500.000 pounds that it don't have.

That's a steam siren, many tugboats and navy vessels had them back in the day, even some buildings had them too. You could make it scream or tone it down using the cable or a valve like with the whistle.
