Interesting fact is that the horn of example Veneto is the same horn used for the Dreadnaughts in ww1, the horn was supposed to scare the enemy soldiers and discourage them, i like that they've put that in for a few ships
Because they are. Ships back then use Steam during WWI. Sure, Horn exists but Ships back in the day does use Whistles similar to the Locomotives. When WWII arrives, most of them start to use Horns instead. But some of them use Whistle, like HMS Hood.
Mikasa should have a steam whistle instead of the horn. Because she is never have any refit. Even better as Mikasa was built by a British, she should have British Steam Whistle.
Sorry to burst your bubble but MV Georgic never had a horn, she had a 3-Bell Super Whistle. All those videos you see on "MV Georgic horn" are fake and used a stock horn sound effect. She would have sounded similar to MV Britannic's 3-Bell Whistle.
