I use the Thule Crossover 2 as my tech pouch while traveling.
I also use the Alpaka elements tech pouch as my edc sling and it works really well!

I love my cap 2. When I go minimalist I take my modern dayfarer pouch that can hold more thank a cap2 but in a slim profile. But in my backpack and always in my edc there's alpaka tech case mini that I use like a mini edc and a sling

The AER slim X-Pac is my current goto. II use TOPOs for special task... And they are color coded.. Since they are flat, they are easy to add to any bag. When I am packing for a trip, I can easily pick the colors needed to cover the unique task of the trip.

I had the Alpaka tech pouch mini, and it wasn't deep enough, but I really liked the sling convertibility, esp for travel, I like having a sling big enough to hold a 1" camera or a phone plus battery pack to charge together (not getting hot in your pocket). I found the Wandrd Medium is pretty much the thicker convertible sling that I wanted (plus a ton of colors lol). For Alpaka I like their normal tech case (not mini), its their sweet spot for usability. Also their utility pouch is under the radar but useful for edc, its basically the thinnest sling (a step smaller than the tech mini) that can hold a phone, keys, and wallet (and isn't vertical like their phone sling). I also have the modern dayfarer which is good for those flat pockets on backpacks, that one is sneaky useful and can be used like a waterfield air caddy on plane seatbacks if you have an ipad mini.

Tom, you have a great sense of humor and you balance each other very well, Lauren seeming more serious.
Interesting video. I will consider exchanging my free make up bags one gets from the makeup counter for the Aer.

Don't let Lauren's in front of the camera demeanor fool you. She is the life of any and all parties. Yes, on camera she's way too stiff.

Ideal features for a Tech Bag (some label should make this):
-Velcro strips, to hold looped cables & devices in place (elastic 'dies' with use & time).
-Sewn-down loops through which the velcro strips are laced (allows replacement of velcro when it wears out).
-A stack of 3 layers of zipped mesh pockets decreasing in height: the bottom as one pocket, the middle as two, the top spaced 1" wide (to organize data storage devices & accessories).
-Zipped to open clamshell (best access).
-Pen loop along fold, with fine-point permanent marker included (for marking data storage devices).
-Lozenge-shape with a pocket opening on the Bag's left narrow end & running the full length of the Bag (for receipts, notes, paper money, etc).
-Waterproof when zipped shut & foam padding (content protection).
-Carabiner attachment (for loop attachment within a backpack, creating access).
-Two 'decorative' straps sewn onto the Bag's outer surface towards the Bag's ends, loose at the bottom (allows lacing through cord or straps to attach long items like a small collapsed camera stand, etc).
-Sewn on D-rings at left & right top, with clip-on adjustable strap (can be hands-free carry over the shoulder, across the body, or around the waist).
-Monochromatic color choices in dark colors: black, rich brown, slate gray, dark olive, dark-tone red, or indigo, burgundy (to camouflage dirt & stains).
-Variety of sizes (reflecting the quantity of tech the customer carries).

The one thing that sucks about the Aer Slim Pouch is that it won't fit too many bulky items. When you close it, the top part is slimmer than the bottom, so all the bulky items basically fold in towards one another and won't fit.

I hardly ever use those mesh loops. I also switch out my pouch depending on the trip and the needs. I think I have four tech pouches and I find they are either too big, or too small. I am leaning more towards a pouch rather than one with lots of compartments especially as I find my gear is changing all the time. I love the tom bihn O rings and miss them in other bags. The AER seems to be the one I use most often. I have the peak designs one too which i love but I find it a bit large in general but I do store a lot of stuff in it at home instead of boxes LOL

is the only bose/beats headphones-compatible tech pouch the huge thule one? looking for a longhaul flight tech pouch to hang on the seat in front of me with my in cabin stuff contained (also the zoom meetings have not disappeared with interpretation from rare langauages at international meetings often streamed through zoom so I need my headphones to fit well in an edc tech pouch at location as well) Next time you test using a one "big thing" please use something bulky like a headphones set in addition to the super thin kindle please!

$25 or $.50. Why make this difficult and expensive? Best and cheapest tech/any pouch or bag I have come across are the clear, heavier duty, sandwich or larger clear sealable kitchen bags. They are cheap, last forever, and are clear so easy to see contents.
