Update - we found the price → go.nomadsnation.com/aer-slim-...
Aer has done it again, they have just launched a new tech pouch and it's their slimmest one yet, with a 1.5-liter capacity. Unlike most tech pouches which are meant to live inside your bag, this one doesn't look out of place being carried on its own, be it on campus or in the office.
Its capacity may seem small on paper, but the Cordura ballistic nylon has enough flexibility to allow this pouch to be packed with an impressive amount of gear.

Aer has a cult-like following and with good reason, their products strike a great balance between minimalism and usability. Their products are simple to use and are made of extremely strong materials, for example, Cordura ballistic nylon and YKK zippers. Their products don't cost an arm and a leg and will last a very, very long time.

I just received it and packed it with my electronic essentials. Basically, I really dig the build quality and the internal layout. I put a microfiber cloth in the small zipper area, some chargers, dongles and cables in the main area, and a pen behind the Aer logo.
A few points I want to add to your review:
    - I actually like that the flap is not super flush as it makes accessing it easier, but it still doesn't open itself if I don't want to.
    - Even though the zips are really smooth, it requires two and sometimes three pulls in order to fully open, as they always get stuck in the final "turn".
I'm really happy that I made an order, and as always, Aer did not disappoint.

    • @Nomads.Nation

This is my choice for a tech pouch. I like to carry a handful of pens and pencils to bullet journal and that exterior pouch fits my utensils perfectly. This lets me combine my pen/pencil pouch and my old tech pouch. Love it!

I have the larger AER cable kit x-pack edition and I love it! However I think this is perfect to use with AER bags since I can use the bag’s internal organization for larger things like my laptop charger, mouse and other bulky items and the smaller things I carry can be in this pouch. Love the videos man, keep it up!

Still using this pouch every day more than a year later. Definitely the best tech pouch for my needs. It fits my power bank, mouse, USB hub, some cables, charger, e-reader and external SSD drive perfectly, there is a little pocket or sleeve for each item, it always stands up, opens up really nicely, and isn't too bulky like my Thule tech pouch which is really boxy. Great materials and design.

You are one of my favourite channels for reviews - informative and entertaining IMO. I love your 'best bags' videos as it's not a top 5, but a best recommendation for minimal, travel, business, etc. Wondering if you can do the same for pouches - best for home office on the road, minimal, photographer, etc. something like that. Also, love that you are doing other EDC gear aside from packs and slings - I'd like to see some on dopp/toiletry kits - that's another thing you can drop a fair amount of money on surprisingly. good review - that loop could have been on the other end so that your maneuver to hold pouch / loop with one hand and open with the other would work for a righty (vs. how you had to do it lefty, which most people won't do). Would have added to the pouch, but that would mean reversing the zipper, and in that case the zipper would be backwards as most people would expect it to open from left to right. So it seems the zipper won out in that decision. keep up the great reviews.

Hmm. personally i would use a suitcase for my clothes and an EDC for living there. Thanks for the love Brenda! I think that this depends on how much stuff you are bringing. If you can get away with a large backpack, then the Tortuga Outbreaker might be a great option, but if you are packing a TON, then a suitcase might be better. I don't think you'll find a perfect pack that will be able to help you move across the world as well as be an EDC. Maybe just focus on getting a cheap suitcase to get your shit to Canada, then get an AWESOME EDC for your daily life. What do you think?

The Black Ember forge might be a good choice if you are going to try all in one - it expands - but I agree with Aaron as well, might be better suited with just a good suitcase, and a good EDC pack in the 25L range ... for weekly travel I typically just have a roller packed with packing cubes, and then my Boundary Errant as my EDC there (although I'm starting to get into slings :) )

Great video! Buying off your link. Found this from your other review: czcams.com/video/4quL0IT_ccQ/video.html Been looking for something to carry charger, mouse and cables while traveling, so many choices, so glad to find a great fit here!

Honestly, your videos would be more watchable if you stopped trying to be funny, and would lose the extreme closeups of your face and weird angles.
Focus on the product rather than trying to clown.
