- My first run of the Atomic DRZ, my 2nd RWD drift RC car after the HGD1.
I do plan to make a follow up video in the future comparing the two :P
Atomic DRZ is stock and using stock setup.

Love that shell
Sweet vid! I just ordered a drz kit (but still have to wait for shipping...). Would love to see much more vids on setup tuning and overall performance!
Tight!
Looks fun! Might order one soon if they send my amz in a timely fashion lol
Yeah
Track is really coming along, did you have the technic laying around or is that something you can purchase separately?
It's spare unused parts I got laying around after playing with Lego for many years.
Great video, just waiting on mine coming, with the super skeeter conversion.
What have u used to make your track layout ?
The track is made with Lego Technic parts. The kerbs are MZW9 from Kyosho :P
what is superskeeter?
@@lucada32 Super skeeter is a conversion upgrade for the Atomic DRZ, pretty expensive but it gives you more steering lock, adjustable ackerman, and adjustable wheelbase so long that you can use it for 1/24 scale bodies.
My drz wont hold a sideways drift for long. What should I do to get it to be holding a drift better? Should I add more negative camber to the rear wheels?
Are you spinng out or just losing momentum? Having more weight on the front sometimes do help.
@@Auranapse I think its spinning out more then momentum. But for sure I think its a bit of both lol.
Nice track setup, may i know where did you get those fences?
The fences are just made from random Lego Technic parts I had.
Wow, awesome. Would you please show me where to buy the tire as your clip ! Thanks
The tires are from DS Racing. I usually buy them by directly contacting them on Facebook. They make great drift tires for both 1/10 and Mini Z scale. I used LF4 here but they got LF1 to LF5. Higher the number lesser the grip.
@@Auranapse Yes, thank you very much !!!
great vid! how much gyro gain you use?
If I remember correctly this was using 35%
@@Auranapse Thanks..i cant use more than 30% the front tire keep shaking
Hi is there anywhere we can get this in Singapore?
For SG based shops you can try smalldriftmachine.myshopify.com, atm the only one I know carrying. I'd recommend the DRZ V2 over the V1 since it's newer and has more features.
Which one is a better drifter, ma020ve or this?
Personally I prefer the DRZ or GLD as they are RWD drift cars. But there would be some people who would prefer AWD drifting.
How do you like the drz vs the hgd1?
congeeSTAR I’ve recorded my thoughts of both few days back for an upcoming video but became really lazy to edit it. TLDR is that the HGD1 can drift more extreme angles out of the box, but is more twitchy and will be hard to recover once you go beyond the limit. If you exceed DRZ lock, the car is still recoverable and doesn’t spin as fast as the HGD1. Overall in terms of just handling, I prefer the DRZ.
Ok im dying to know what you thought of drz.... 😂
Well I'm planning to talk about it for sure :P
For now what I can say is that it feels easier on the limit than the HGD1, even though the HGD1 has a higher limit.
That said, I also managed to get hold on a BM Racing steering kit, which I haven't seen any content about it particularly on CZcams yet.
You running a gyro? Nice drifting.
Yup, RWD drift RC cars really need a gyro to be able to drift as we don't have steering feedback.
@@Auranapse true. What's a good budget gyro?
Personally I'm using the AFRC GYS-2 V2, works really well. I haven't really tried many budget gyros however.
@@Auranapse you know anything about this guy? www.banggood.com/Gyro-Unit-Set-For-Kyosho-Mini-Z-RC-Car-Parts-p-1009050.html
Punchout FPV that’s only for Mini Z boards, particularly ASF, VE and EVO cars. Not supported by open electronics.
What percentage is the gyro?
I usually use 30-35%
@@Auranapse thank you
May I know your engine speed ?
