  • Learn how to use natural window light to create a high-key backlight in white-on-white portraits. I’ll show you how I set up this photoshoot in my living room using only window light, sheer curtains purchased from a thrift store, and portable v-flats to create this beautiful soft light.
I take you through my lighting strategy, camera settings, and posing. I hope you feel inspired to try this easy technique for capturing incredible portraits! Let me know in the comments below if you give it a try :)
I’m using my Canon EOS R camera body and Canon EF 24-70 f2.8 lens.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE work! You’re a life saver I stumble across this by accident and I’ll be using this technique for my next session

I thought it was interesting that you show your RAW image vs. the edited version. And the beautiful images you create in your home studio. I’m sure this inspires many of what can be done without a commercial studio space. Continued success!!! #❤BTS content

that lens is by far my most used lens. in the film days with my F-1, i never had a zoom lens on it. i just picked up the R6II for the super duper focus but havent shot any portrait/beauty/fashion yet. difficult for me get business in my little market place. ive THOUGHT often of adding the 85 f1.4 (EF) because i can use it on my 5D4 as well but then ive thought about the 24-105 for that little bit more reach for head/shoulder images. any thoughts abou that? im using the canon ef-r adapter too
