- I went through the return of The Lion, now it is time to go back to Guilliman!
He returned at a time that I hadn't started my channel properly yet but it is always a good time to go back and cover some great excerpts like this!

Thank you for watching! - Zábava
Before any more large events happen I wanted to cover the rise of the other primarch! The First awoken, the avenging son!
More Guilliman on the way once I can get to some recording again (Busy time at the moment)
If you enjoyed it please do the usual, the like comment and subscribe!
And, my thanks for watching!
Part two of this video?
Guilliman: "Good News. I'm healed."
(Draws sword)
"Bad News. I'm healed."
(Attacks)
Is that… is that a Tron Uprising reference?
@@TheLinkmaster001 hey, it's appropriate, isn't it?
The implication
Guilliman: I am alive, and it is your problem now.
Ultramarine: Shouldn't you take it easy father?
Guilliman: This is me taking it easy
Guilliman wakes up in the middle of a war and doesn't say a word just immediately starts destroying khorne bezerkers like they are children . Most of the people in this era have never seen a primarch in action . They have only heard myths and legends . Guilliman more than lived up to the hype .
Wait... aren't you dead?
Ghazghkull is gonna be so happy!
Takes more then a big red git to kill old bale eye
And Guilliman is supposed to be less combat proficient than his brothers. Imagine if Leman Russ or The Khan had been revived instead. Instant Whirlwind of Death.
@@ahmedshaharyarejaz9886 Imagine Sanguinius in the modern era. He was the perfect mix of The Lion's skill, Russ' ferocity and The Khan's speed. He's probably the only loyalist primarch that most people agree should stay dead, not only cause of how important his death is but because he would be too OP.
I got goosebumps during the siege of terra at the battle of the eternity gate when Sanguinius pretty much went full god of war mode. Beheading a Reaver Titan, breaking Ka'Bandha's back, killing UNTOLD amounts of traitor marines and allowing himself to get impaled by Angron so he could RIP THE BUTCHERS NAILS OUT OF HIS HEAD!
@freddymcshreddy6586 hw saw his death at the hands of horus but that future meant that the emperor would live.. he chose that future gladly.. but I suspect that if sanguinius wasn't already spent from the previous fighting, he would've killed horus coz russ defeated horus on the vengeful spirit using the spear the emperor gave him..
Khorne Berserker: FUCK IT WE BALL
Guilliman: FUCK IT WE BALL
Cowabunga it is!
To be fair to Calgar, you would never want to see an eldar and Mechanicum meddling with your injured Primarch.
After spending centuries dedicating your life to protecting the egg they're messing with... Swearing to the promise that nothing must ever happen to it.
I love that the auto reliquary actually had a light that went from red to green and chimed like a toaster oven. I just imagined it went *ding* primarch done!
That would make the heretics and loyalists the unsuspecting cat that got interrupted by the machine.
I had to restrain myself so much to not add in a little oven ding or Windows XP wake up noise subtly in the background for that haha
Thanks for watching!
@@danielquintonvoI think that would have been great.
@@danielquintonvo Or have E1M1 play..
@@danielquintonvothe OG Doom menu select sound!
That Khorn Berzerker knew EXACTLY what he was doing. bro wanted to get killed by a Primarch.
You either become the first person in thousands of years to be killed by a loyalist primarch, if you're lucky you might even scratch his armour before dying, or you become the first person in ten thousand years to kill a loyalist promarch.
For a Khornate fellow it's a win win.
Khorne cares not from where the blood flows!
Khorne Berserker: FUCK IT WE BALL
Guilliman:, FUCK IT WE BALL
You know statistically, Henry Cavell has watched this.
Oh god I can only hope! haha
My thanks for watching!
G woke up and chose violence. Violence on a scale so grand that he punched a chaos marine out of his fuckin terminator armor.
It’s funny how Guilliman is always labeled as the pencil pusher bureaucrat. It seems ppl forget he’s a Primarch, one of the gene forged GENERALS by the Emperor ( beloved by all) himself , tasked with bringing WAR and CONQUEST to the edges of the galaxy
when a man of war lays down the tools of peace, all will quake to see it
Maybe it is cheap but to me the return of the Lion and Guilliman are the two greatest moments in 40k lore (not counting Heresy Era).
I think when the lion and guilliman finally reunite will be even better to me . I can't wait for that to happen
@@commissaryarrick9670 Yes! I am also just waiting for the book where they meet each other! No idea when it will come though :/
@@commissaryarrick9670 A third Primarch will return before that. I'm guessing Corax.
@@danielsmith762 I would be happy with another primarch but If I had a choice I would want constantin valdor to come back
Wait till Valdor returns
Love that World eater who probably hasn't seen a Primarch in thousands of years but upon seeing one his first thought was
"Cowabunga it is !!"
Then gets instantly cut In half
While I sometimes find myself wanting a little more nuance from certain factions, Khorne especially (which is not something completely outlandish in the lore), I have to admit that in an universe like 40K their bluntness can be refreshing sometimes.
Imperial Firsts 🙏 Khorne Bersersers when it comes to charging at enemy Primarch
Gotta love their excitement
Guilliman wake up after 10'000 years.
Are surrounded by chaos worshipper.
With his sword in his hand.
And that's all he needed to know...
He woke up and immediately knew violence first was the choice needed
He understood the assignment 😂
Awww sheit here we go agen...
There is nothing that can convince me that Cawl wasn’t blasting “The only thing they fear is you” from Doom Eternal or “Derezzed” Tron Legacy when Guilliman started fighting.
I think "Derezzed" is better because it's start is more of a resurgence after silence the way Guilliman came out of stasis, instead of starting a new cycle the way the Doomslayer was awoken.
I imagine it’s the song ‘Fall’ from Tron Legacy.
@@adarshkamoda9183 On the one hand yes, on the other Guilliman pretty much went from 0 to 9999 with no stops along the way when it came to blasting and slicing Chaos Marines
@@AdamMichalMarkowski Oh, yeah... and on top of that, everyone just stopped to stare at him because no one ever felt a Primarch's aura in their lives. And when they looked in his eyes, his rage would seem divine to any lesser mortal.
@@adarshkamoda9183 Are you saying Cawl is in fact one of Daft Punk? I think that's what you are saying, and 'tis now my part of my headcanon.
That one Khorn Berserker

Guilliman: Cowabunga it is then…
I know that the ultramarines and Guilliman are meme a lot but man sometimes they are relly badass
Absolutely! It's a shame GW pushed them so hard for so long because when they are written well they can be fantastic!
Thanks for watching!
@danielquintonvo tts hit the bail in the head, a few really cool ultrasmurfs and then the reason i used that description of the chapter
Oh god not the Ultra Smurfs
To be fair to Guilliman.
I don't like anyone waking me up either...
This has to go down as one of the most epic cases of all time of 'wrong side of the bed' syndrome!
Imagine you've pressed snooze 10000 times in a row then some horrible little Xenos and Chaos worshippers start having a party right outside your bedroom 🤬👿
@@ImBarryScottCSS 🤣🤣👊👊👊👊👊👊👊
Calgar's ultra depression was at max when he saw he's dad dead for a couple of seconds 😂
Guilliman in 40k's history books: Book nerd, desk jockey, unfunny.
Gulliman in reality: Avenging Son, legitimate god of war, good-humoured.
Asleep for 10,000 years. Essentially frozen in time not long after his battle with his fallen brother. Surrounded by Chaos worshippers.
He opens his eyes to the Khorne berserker charging him *BFG 10k starts playing*
What a badass way to reintroduce him to the story. Without hesitation of any kind nor a word spoken, he immediately charges into a frenzy. The Big Blue Chad.
He moves as fast as an Elf - hits harder than a dwarf - has the adaptability of a human = A Primarch (Super dooper Man)
Boy rerolled his character creation 500 times to get those stats.
More like daddy made his sperm do the battle royal until only the 20 strongest (most autistic) sperm were left.
I cant decide who had the better return. Guilliman or The Lion.
Both returns were written really well.
Cant wait for them reunite with each other and form the legions again.
I think i like Guilliman's return just a tad bit more cause of how dire everything seemed up until now. Up until now the Imperium have been fighting a losing war and just prolonging the inevitable. Guilliman's return feels like the first time in emperor knows how long that the Imperium actually gets a proper W. His return marks the moment when hope returned to the Imperium and it felt like they finally had a fighting chance.
Both returns were great but different.. Guilliman's was more immediate and straightforward.. No lessons to be learned or tests to be undertaken just sheer rage and fury whilst the lion was more creeping towards a big entrance where he had to earn fealty and the emperor's shield in order to face angron through tests of will and spirit..
If we look at this from perspective of their respective legions/chapters I would say Ultramarines had better deal, since Guilliman returned in front of their eyes and started helping them out, taking control of his old legion in a very respective manner, not really criticizing anyone.
We are yet to see Lion have a word with rest of Dark Angels, but I have a feeling that both their possible reluctance to accept absolved Fallen and lengths they went to in order to hunt them down throughout the years will at least earn them few harsh words. Yes, Lion made his own mistakes, yes Lion used to keep secrets. But Lion also used to be unforgiving and Lion did grow as a character learning much during Imperium Secundus time.
Guilliman by a lot the Lion leave's the Blood Angels and doesnt drop with them so he can use his new Forest Path power which takes exactly long enough extra for Dark Angels to worry that Dante is not being honest and Angron to down three Dreads and Blitz a full Honour Guard so yeh poor first battle for Lion if he had dropped with Dante he could have saved a couple of squads at least.
@@CoolCraftCoolwait has the lion met up with the DA yet?
As @majorkill said. GMan woke up and absolutley rocked everybody.
You can just feel the emotions of Calgar in this! Thanks for this wondrous voice over.
Thank you very much! I was hoping to properly convey that and I wasn't sure how well it had gone, so that does help a lot!
Thanks again for watching!
Marneus “catch these hands” Calgar 😂💪💪
I want this animated. Doesn't matter if it's fanmade or Cavil's show, this will create the universe by itself
A chime sounding as the auto-reliquary completed it's task leaves the mental image of an oven timer marking the completion of the baking, and Cawl's binharic outburst to that of a satisfied baker.
Call an Apothecary! But not for me. - Guilliman, probably
It is funny how a Primarch fighting space marines is like a human stepping on ants
The arival of a godling. The 13th son of the Emperor, the Avenging Son, Robute Guilliman of Ultramar, his arrival back into life the clear psycokenetic ding of a microwave.
"Why do I still live?"
Robuete Guiliman
For vengeance.
For flickering hope.
For mankind.
For life.
This narration, along with the music, is amazing! I couldn't imgaine a more epic telling of Roboute Guilliman's reawakening!
Thank you very much! That is a large compliment!
There's something wonderfully poetic about the souls of Chaos-worshippers being used as fuel to bring a loyalist back to life.
What a beast. The exact savior the Imperium needed. The hero they needed but not deserved.
The best part is when Guilliman is done cooking and goes *DING*
"Come on! You knew I would be the one they brought back...."
- Guilliman
Listening to this I just wish to see some 3d video that depicts this epic battle and the revival of Guilliman. Your voice over and a epic video to go along with it can really make this amazing.
Excellent job as always man!
That would be a fantastic sight to see, indeed! Hopefully once day we can get that, for all of the Primarchs!
and, my thanks, for the kind words and for watching!
So much better than the Lion's return, whose dramatic return was waking up sleepy-eyed and wander around confused.
The Lion's return felt a little underwhelming to me at first too but the more I think on it the more I like it.
This is spectacular too but something about the slow, creeping hunt before the full reveal and the flood of memories pouring back in felt really fitting.
and, my thanks for watching!
Both are good in their own way.
I actually kinda liked it, it would have felt like a cop out, it made them each more unique, and was a fitting choice of story for the lion who has a much more complex relationship to his marines, and a much more complex character overall (compared to Guillemin), both had story and action, it just depends on which one went first, with guillimin is was action then story, then with the lion it was story then action.
Each return contrasted their respective primarchs perfectly. The Lion was a machine. He was not cruel, nor did he take pride in his work, yet his primary directive has always been killing immediately, never ask questions, never tell anyone, what must be done is done. For him to return and start killing everything is precisely The Lion as a demigod child, he listened to his father without question. I do not mean child as an offence, he's in my top 3 (2nd behind Sangyboi and ahead of Girlyman), but rather maturation. His returned showcased a massive shift into adulthood, that not every command a father gives is right, not every choice must be driven in black and white morality, not every instance is acting with maximal prejudice towards your foe appropriate. The Lion's book in some sense has turned him from a boy to a father, and it fit perfectly.
Girlyman was just chadding against his bastard brother and so his makes perfect sense, he just felt the most excruciating pain, his eyes closed, then they opened immediately into a new area where his sons were dying by the thousands. He went full no helmet in space Lorgar betrayal girlyman and it was perfect and fitting.
any plans on making space wolf related voice over, would like to hear one when bjorn the fellhanded parley with the inquisitors :) ..
Absolutely! I just need to get around to some of the excerpts I have planned, then recording and editing them. Might take a bit but I do hope to at some point cover all of the legions!
Thanks for watching!
Props the the khorn berserker who charged gulliman
"ding"
Hell. Yeah.
At 5:25 I can't help but picture in my head a microwave's countdown timer going "ding" as it reaches zero.
It was truly tempting to add in a sound effect similar to that. There and Cawl's little beeps of success.
My thanks for watching.
*Guilliman returns*
*Guilliman sees how degraded the imperium is*
Also Guilliman: "WHY MEEEEEEEEEE 😭😭😭😭😭"
6:15 Holy crap man. Between the narration and the music, this is so perfect. What song is this?
There are three separate songs I've edited together here, all of them are credited in the description, at the bottom.
Thanks for watching!
"Wake up, Bobby Blueberry, time for work. "
Wonder who's going to be next primarch to return. We have an administrator primarch and a warrior/tactician primarch now. So maybe the next primarch would an artificer primarch - Vulkan maybe? I'd really hope for the Gorgon, but sadly we all know this won't happen.
Or maybe we can have a redeemed primarch - a traitor returning to the fold? I know it's a hopeless wish and would probably break the lore too much, but depending on who returns I'd find it extremely fun. Maybe Perturabo spent the last 10k years going to a therapy?
I am very excited to see who next! I am fairly certain Fulgrim will be the next overall but for the loyalists? There is so much fun potential!
I think my money is on the Khan, but it could just as easily be Corax or Vulkan I'd think! I tend to agree that they likely won't bring a traitor primarch back into the fold but Clonegrim is always possible, too!
and, thanks for watching!
I think it’s either going to be Khan or Russ
My money is on Russ, because of his relationship with the Lion will make it interesting, or Rogal, we have the general, the statesman and now the Praetorian
I don't think 10,000 years is enough therapy for Perty, but I hope he's making progress nonetheless
INTO THE FIRES OF BATTLE, UNTO THE ANVIL OF WAR....VULKAN LIVES!!!
Mmmm I love hearing about our daddy’s resurrection 😫😫
*Ultramarine pig squeals*
Love your voice, it gives the narration a throaty deepness that grants untold weight to the story.
Looks like the chaos hasn't paid their taxes.

a damn shame we did not see Guilliman and Yarrick in a one on one before GW decided to kill him off for no reason. it would have been glorious.

I absolutely love this moment. G-man is a beast.
Insane that this is the moment that changed EVERYTHING. You could argue which is the best primarch, but GMan had to be the first one to come back. Every return now is about linking up with him and how it’ll affect the Imperium, and that impact will be lessened by every subsequent return.
Incredible Work!
Imagine getting shanked by your snakey brother then the next thing you know is you waking up in the middle of a warzone

Nicely done mate

So awesome!
Nothing like finding out the Battle Station WAS fully Armed and Operational!!
And to think that Guilliman is a mediocre to middling (at best) Primarch when it comes to combat. It just shows how far above the Astartes the Primarchs truly were when it came to combat.
If chaos sees you as the "next best thing" to tempt from the Emperor. You're definitely a BADASS.
@@loristnorton3723 Pretty much. Guilliman may be mediocre to middling tier Primarch when it comes to personal combat, but he *is* still a Primarch. He’d still decimate anything in the universe (M31) other than the EoM or top (combat) tier Primarchs, push come to shove. The Custodes would have issues; Solitairs would have issues.

Where did you find this story? I've been wanting to read about Guiliman's return for ages now, but no one can give me a straight answer about where it is depicted. Is this in Avenging Son? Dark Imperium? The Ultramarines Codex? Please, illumine me, brother.
It is in one of the 'Gathering Storm' Campaign books called 'Rise of the Primarch'

@@antheas8013 what?
Yeah, but, where did he get the Emperor's sword from? Doesn't he take that later? Bit of a boo boo there?
He got the sword from Belisarius Cawl along with his new armor. So basically he woke up with it in his hand. It was given to Cawl by the Custodies, right before he left to go to Cadia on the way to resurrect Gulliman.
So basically it was sitting on the Emperor's throne for 10,000 years, until Cawl informed the Custodies of his plan who basically gave Cawl their blessing and a fitting weapon for Gulliman.
Now technically Gulliman lost it shortly thereafter, as he was captured for 7 months by greater demons while trapped in the Warp while trying to get to Terra on the Terra Crusade. However Cypher freed Gulliman and it was retrieved. This is probably why you think there was a mistake, as effectively Gulliman got the sword twice.
I think originally it might have been a bit of a mistake but JonathanRyan in the replies here summed it up nicely, it has since been retconned to make a lot more sense!
Thanks for watching
